The room was very clean. The sheets were super soft! The side tables are little tree ledges. which is very cute. The air conditioner is strong so it's perfect after a long day under the sun. The parking is free with a tag, which is a really nice complement to your stay. The ice machine was also very clean, which is a plus when you want to keep food cold at the beach. 3) All the staff we encountered were also very friendly. The staff is very accommodating and you can communicate with them via text. We enjoyed the fire pit or at least the sitting area almost every night. Probably the one thing that may be hard for light sleepers is you can occasionally hear doors close and some other noises from the street, so bring earplugs. But it is mostly quiet and different rooms may have different sound experiences. 4) Treehouse also has discounts to attractions and accommodations like bikes, beach towels, etc. The whale watching discount was great to have. Highly recommend this quaint lodge.

Seems like a missed opportunity to have a server actually wait the tables, make recommendations and earn a tip. Instead it's a hodgepodge of food runners and no real direction what to order. And the strangest part was I had a conversation with one of these folks and she was so terrific and kind I wished she'd waited on us! Anyways, in conclusion ambiance =5. Food and drink = 4. The bartender was very nice. The beer selection was heavily weighted towards hazy NEIPAs, which I understand--they sell! (I teach beverage at the Culinary Institute of America). I ordered two beers, a corn lager and a maibock. The lager was good, but the maibock was technically flawed, with diacetyl (movie popcorn butter smell) and I think some acetalaldehyde (cooked vegetable) smells/flavors. Not terrible, not great, and 10 oz. pours were priced like pints at other breweries. Here comes the bad part, though. We also ordered some clam chowder and pretzel bites. We got the food at our inside table and the chowder was the worst we've ever had in our lives. Campbells and Progresso well exceed the quality of this 'soup'. It didn't taste like clams, there was no discernible seasoning or flavor from onions or garlic, and it had obviously been thickened (into glop) with cornstarch. It might also have been scorched during cooking. It was so bad that we each took two bites and had to stop. And we are *not* picky eaters. The pretzel bites (for $15) were plentiful, but obviously a commodity product heated up...barely. The beer cheese dip was good and the mustard had a nice kick, but that much money for a pile of frozen pretzel bites is ridiculous. So, $40+ for two 10oz beers and food so bad we threw 90% of it in the garbage. The staff was nice enough, the live music outside was bad, but the food. Holy moly the food was terrible. Oh, and the beers weren't great. We will not be going back, and don't think you should go either.

It was fun back in the day as they had not only the cars they do today, but they boasted an incredible collection of American firearms from the flintlocks of the American Revolution to the Six-Shooters of the Wild Wild West. No more. The cars alone are worth the trek. From those crazy platform things with an engine to Caddy's, a Doosy, and everything in between. Incredible vintage, originals and restored. There is also a building for rotating exhibits. A wonderful set of gardens of flowers, fauna, and herbs. A lovely walk. Also, they've a nice store with some local touristy kind of trinkets, Cape historical stuff, and books on subject at the museum. Several buildings. All walkable. Wear a hat on warm sunny days. Having a water would be a good idea too. A good walk for those in shape. Elderly or handi-able there might be some challenges. I love this place. Reminds me of my childhood and simpler times. HMG has quite an amazing and rather extensive collection of automobiles from the early days 1905, 1920s, 1930s, to 1940s. Great to see the various transitions the production and inventions the auto industry went through - various engines of electric, steam, or gasoline as fuel. All autos are perfectly restored and in working condition! Then meander through the magnifique Hydrangea gardens - eight varieties and 160 species...the full varied gardens cover 100 acres. (Lookout NYBG). You're welcome! Finish at the exquisitely restored carousel for a lovely ride! The carousel is beautifully restored. Built in 1908 in Providence, Rhode Island. On my recent stay in Dennis Port I was searching for a brewery that was open, January is off season in the Cape. The parking lot was full as we pulled up so I immediately knew we made the right decision. The manager welcomed us and even went out of his way to give us free bingo cards for a chance to win a gift card to the brewery. This has to be a local favorite as many of the other friendly people inside were sporting their merchandise. I loved their lager and IPA, they offer Togo packs of beer and small snacks in the taproom! This is definitely a place to stop for beer lovers in the Cape.
