Of course, lofty credentials don't mean much if they're not put to good use, but Khristine continues this rich and sacred tradition by teaching students old and new with thoughtfulness, compassion, individualized care, and great humor. She's very skilled and observant in suggesting alterations and adjustments to facilitate injuries, health conditions, and other student-specific needs. And if you think yoga is only about movement and fitness, you're in for a treat (as long as you have an open mind). Her knowledge of pranayama (breathwork), yogic philosophy, and the other "limbs" of yoga are second to none. The other teachers here are also extremely skilled, knowledgeable and helpful. They bring their own diverse skills and yoga lineages to the community to create a fun, expansive and well-rounded place to learn and practice -- whether you're a brand new student, a casual participator, or a seasoned lifer.

This style of yoga is highly effective on many levels. It allows you to see where your own strengths and weaknesses lie. It can shine the light on your own fears and neurosis but in a very gentle way. My favorite part about Mysore style Ashtanga yoga is the self lead aspect as well as the focus on the breath. The breath in my opinion is the key element to calming the nervous system which in turn creates peace, grounding, and deep inner connection which makes my days go so much smoother. I noticed how much easier it was to get through the holidays this year compared to past years. I am so grateful that this bright human being has brought this opportunity to the Central Coast. It truly is a gift to our community.

She has a pleasant affect and a soothing, calming voice. We all had a really wonderful time simply laid back, relaxing & listening to her sing and work the bowls. Lots of parking there. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of sea life on Morro Bay including those adorable sea otters. The rock itself was formed from ancient volcanic activity about 23 million years ago, it's the final peak in a chain of volcanic hills called the "Nine Sisters. I've lived in California most of my life and have been to almost every beach, so it's funny that this one in Morro never really came to mind especially since it's not that far from us. When I finally came last year, I really enjoyed it. The beach was clean, beautiful, and peaceful. There were lots of sand dollars along the shore and even some wildlife, which made it feel even more special. Since that first trip, we've come back about four more times. There's just something about this place that makes me feel calm and at peace every time I'm here.
