Level Spa and Salon is extremely well run by two lovely women who create truly beautiful hairstyles while making you fell welcome and lifted by their company. They are extremely knowledgeable and gifted in their individual approach to each person's hair that they work on. They truly listen to how you wear your hair and what your lifestyle is like and then give you a hairstyle you can recreate at home. This is a wonderful business!

I got the…read morepurifying acne facial and my mom got the age defense facial (both $139 but with $20 off for first time visit). We had appointments at 6:50 pm but they asked us to move it up by 20 minutes (probably so they could head home early before the lone weekend). This worked out better for our schedule anyways. We came a little early and the door was locked, so you probably have to come on time. Once you're inside, you fill out a pretty lengthy form that asks you about medical history & preferences. Then you are brought to a waiting room. They give you robes to change into and lockers to put your stuff in. Once you are ready, they have tea and water in the waiting room. They took some time to come get us for the actual facials, so plan an extra half hour for your appointment. You are then taken to a private room for the actual facial. The facial itself was amazing (thank you lizzie!). They also include a light massage which I was struggling to not fall asleep from. My skin felt great after and it felt a lot smoother. Will plan to visit again next time I am in town.

I booked a sports massage. For background context: I'm fairly active and have had dozens of sports massages in the past so l knew what to expect .... Or so I thought? lol First off, she was running late. Ok no big deal. But when she came to call me, she made it known she was not in a mood. Even after asking how she was doing, she said "ehh". Ok awkward start. Whatever Then comes for the actual massage. Yall she was burping the entire time. And it was the softest pressure ever. As if someone was just rubbing lotion on my skin. Anyways, I told the front desk. And they did try to make it right so l appreciate that. And I won't disclose her name because l'd like to think she was just having a day and she's actually really good. Just my experience. But if you're a massage therapist and you're reading this, please just call off if you're having a "day".

And it DEFINITELY was worth the wait. Parking at Avalon can be a little crazy, but I would suggest parking in the uncovered lot behind the spa or if you're lucky enough to find a spot in the covered area. Upon arriving, I was greeted by one of the many receptionist who took my name, confirmed what I was having done and took me back to the women's changing dressing room. They provide you with a robe and slippers that you will wear the entire stay of your visit. When entering the women's dressing room, there are many lockers along the left side of the room, where you will create your four digit code and leave your belongings in there (I did keep my phone with me as I have a small smaller child in school) I just kept my phone on silent. Once you have changed, you can walk into the waiting area where there are two rooms that you can sit in and wait for your masseuse, facial, mani/pedi person to come and get you. Snacks are provided as well as champagne (upon request), cucumber/lemon water, and cozy blankets to keep you warm. I did the head to toe package which included a full body, Swedish massage, a facial, and a manicure. For my massage I had Richard, and he was soft spoken, so kind, made sure that I had everything I needed, made me feel extremely comfortable, was very vocal about where he was going to massage, and the pressure was a perfect light, medium. Once my massage was finished, he left the room and allowed me to get dressed. I left the door cracked as instructed once I was done dressing, he took me back to the waiting area, where I waited for my facial. I am definitely requesting him the next time I go back. Misa then came and got me for my facial, and I did the soothe + hydrate and let me tell you!! I am EXTREMELY picky about my face, and Misa kept me very informed and comfortable about what myface needed, she did do a blackhead extraction, and that was a little painful, but my face loved everything that she did to it!! I absolutely loved her energy and her kindness. She will definitely be my go to for facials in the future. Once my facial was complete, I went back into the waiting area and waited for the manicurist to come get me for my manicure. They took me to the other side of the spa house where they had a fully equipped nail salon. And that was just your basic nail experience. My hands definitely felt hydrated as they used warm oil and wax to hydrate my hands. Now this place is VERY expensive, but it is worth the price. I will be back with my husband to do a couples massage and facial.

I've already recommended it to friends and family because it consistently delivers a wonderful experience. I always leave feeling refreshed and look forward to returning again. Awful Spa Experience. I highly recommend that you NOT go here…read more My daughter treated me to spa package for my birthday and Mother's day that included a body scrub, massage, facial, and tea, which we did together. Unfortunately, the wet body scrub in a cold room left the table sheets damp, cold and very uncomfortable for my massage on the same table. The masseuse was reluctant to turn on an air heater at my request since it would make her "dizzy" since she was physically active. She finally turned on a room heater, but I was still very cold during my massage from the wet, cold sheets. Midway through the massage, the masseuse got the manager, and I waited outside the room while they put dry sheets on the table. However, very little time was left of the massage and the room was still cold (the heater had been turned off and I had to ask for it to be turned on again), so I never got the relaxing massage I was hoping for. Both times that I got on the table, the masseuse did not line me up straight and centered on the table. She also left a hot stone next to my arm which startled me and was quite hot. Meanwhile, the background music kept skipping intermittently which also made it hard to relax. I recommend skipping the $40 tea which we were rushed through. It consisted of an almost tasteless slice of tiramisu, a small tasteless Madeline wrapped in plastic (why was there only one for two people?), one chocolate, and peach tea. The tea is overpriced and needs improvement. The bottom line is that the body scrub and the massage were 100% an awful experience. The manager gave me 75% off the body scrub; 10% off the unrelaxing, cold and wet massage; and comped the tea. This was not enough to offset what was supposed to be a special, relaxing, pleasurable spa experience with my daughter, but instead was disappointing, unpleasant, and very uncomfortable.

When making the appointment, the receptionist informed us that we should arrive 10 minutes early to complete the required paperwork. Our appointment was at 3:00 PM, and we arrived around 2:40 PM, giving us more than enough time. We finished all the paperwork within about 10 minutes and then waited for our esthetician. At 3:05 PM, my esthetician came to get me. She spent the next few minutes explaining the facial and discussing the treatment before giving me time to change into a robe. The actual facial didn't begin until around 3:15-20 PM. What disappointed me was that the treatment ended around 3:45 PM. Since I wasn't sure of the timing, I checked the clock, and by then she was already ready to walk me back to the reception. For a service advertised as a 50-minute facial, the actual hands-on treatment felt closer to 25-30 minutes. The facial itself was decent--my skin felt refreshed afterward--but it wasn't anything exceptional. Considering I paid over $100 (introductory facial for $79.95, a $30 add-on, plus tip), I expected to receive the full appointment time and a more complete experience. The staff was pleasant, and the spa itself was clean and relaxing. However, the biggest issue for me was the discrepancy between the scheduled treatment time and the actual time spent receiving the facial. If a treatment is advertised as 50 minutes, I believe customers should receive close to that amount of actual service. Overall, it wasn't a bad facial, but based on this experience, I didn't feel it offered good value for the price and I will not recommend it to anyone.
