Give this place a few months and reconsider. Its a royal cluster these days. Went in for drinks and tapas last week and was thoroughly unimpressed. We were a group of five and sat down at one of the larger tables. The long tables were designed by midgets or a group of people who have all lost their lower limbs. Any other sane human would have noticed that you cannot sit with your legs under the table, unless you enjoy ripped fabric/skin from the outlet strip below the tabletop. The waitress came over, with one menu, and explained that they started with a bunch of menus and only have a few left. My coworker and I both ordered the same drink, and it came out in two different sized glasses. Since our waitress was nowhere to be found, I approached the bar and waited for a bartender to come over. What a mistake that was. Miss tall brunette was clearly not having a good day, and rudely addressed me in a fake apologetic tone with a fake smile. She told me they were working on glassware issues. Was there any kind of soft opening of this place? Food was average at best, although the drink was actually pretty good. All aspects of the property are unpolished and leave a lot to be desired. Stop by towards the end of the summer if you want to enjoy the experience. Hopefully by then the management will have addressed these issues, and maybe tall brunette will have become overwhelmed by reasonable requests and left for somewhere else. read more

Service was horrible. Sat there on numerous occasions more than 15 minutes before a waiter to came our table despite going to every other table in the same section as ours. Even after it was getting near the 30 minute mark, we finally waved over the waiter to let her know how long we had been waiting to be served. Her only reply was "I'm honestly sorry but I'll be right with you" waited 5 minutes to see if she would come back she never did. I was over it & left. If you are looking for a good atmosphere and delicious cocktail, this is the place to go. It's great during the day when the weather is nice, and the furniture on the patio is a perfect and cozy place to look out onto North Hills. The cocktails aren't super sweet and are creative if you're interested in something that is more than your basic liquor drink. I haven't gotten to try the food buts it's my favorite place to stop after work in the afternoon to hang out and relax, or a Saturday afternoon date with friends. read more

I had such high hopes for this place. I live within walking distance so was really excited about this place opening. I tried it when they first opened and honestly just had a horrible experience. Had to wait about 40 min for a gin and tonic that turned out to be straight vodka then took another 15 minutes to get that corrected. The bar tender was extremely rude about it even thought it was his mistake. I didn't want to leave a bad review at the time because I figured they were new and needed to just work out the kinks. However, I tried it again last week and unfortunately, I was still disappointed. We got an appetizer and when it came out, the bread was beyond burnt. Service was not great at all and the drinks are just incredibly overpriced. I hope they work out these kinks because I truly believe it has a lot of potential. read more

Checked this out last night. Atmosphere is really nice and the rooftop has a great view! But, I stood at the bar to place an order and was not acknowledged at all- neither the bar nor place was full. Finally at a table outside a waitress came and took our order. But, this is billed as a cocktail place. There are 5-6 cocktails in the menu. If you want a pomegranate martini, they do not have pomegranate juice. If you want a French martini, they do not have either pineapple juice or Chambord. And for the record they do not have Beleveder vodka. Not what I would call a place for cocktails. I didn't look at the wine list so I can not comment. I do think they need to overhaul the drink menu and I would bet they should include the wine list too! We had several small plates that were all very nice. So billing themselves as a small plates place is fine with me. The other billing is inaccurate. And this surprises me for a Marriott. Hope they get it together! read more

I had such an awesome time at Level & this past weekend. The atmosphere was perfect. This is definitely a spot that Raleigh needs. You can go to this rooftop bar during the day and even on a Friday night and get good vibes. The drinks were made to perfection, and the pricing was not bad at all. The service from every employee that I interacted with was welcoming with a smile. Very attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back to enjoy the live bands that they have on some evenings. The tapas are tasty but be prepared for the price point. I was okay with it, but it was pretty expensive for bar food. The service is nonexistent. If you want drinks, go to the bar yourself. The servers will take your order after you wait for a half hour or so, but don't expect them to come back and check on you, because they won't. You'll have to flag someone down to order anything additional. At one point a busboy came by to take our empty glasses (and not so empty glasses) because they were running out of glasses to serve people with. It was really weird. The servers don't care at all if you need anything, you have to ask. There were about 7 kids under the age of 10 running around at 9:30. I've never seen that before. It was confusing since they actually card at the door. There is no dress code, you can wear whatever, which was really weird bc of the price point. Upside, the women's restroom was extremely clean and the patrons were really nice. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful, definitely upscale. UPDATE: I forgot to update my review many months back. I've heard from friends/associates since then that they haven't had any problems with service. The General Manager contacted me the same day I posted my original review, which is exceptional. His explanation is believable and actually understandable (I worked as a waitress many years ago, so I get it.) We have recently gone through staffing changes, and are continuously working out our growing pains. Great views and music but the mixed drinks and bartenders are seriously undertrained. The mixed drinks are VERY pricey so you can understand that you're annoyed if it takes a long time to get a lousy over priced drink. I will have dinner elsewhere and drinks and go there for the views and live music. If I see a difference then I'll start ordering mixed drinks again. For now, I'll stick to beer. Love the bar. Great views of Raleigh and North Hills, one of Raleigh's newest and hippest spots. Unfortunately, the bar service is terrible. Ordering a drink easily took 15 minutes at the bar and it was hardly crowded. There were three bartenders and fast and expedient service was clearly not a priority. I suspect management will address this issue soon, but until then, it's not worth the trip. I won't be back until things improve. read more

Only 2 bartenders for night 3 of business. Took 20 min to get a drink. Not nearly enough seating. Half the outdoor space is taken over by 2 big couches. Think they wanted this to be a lounge place but not sure north hills is the place for that considering how packed every restaurant in north hills is. Hoping they take away the couches and put more high tops. Hoping this place gets better! read more

I went here for a dinner & drinks with my girlfriends. Nice atmosphere & the view is nice from the outdoor patio! The bartender we had was awesome! I think his name was Josh. The only thing I didn't like was the very limited food menu. The cocktails & wine we had were of good quality. I just wish they had a better menu. This place is terrible. The view is decent- unless you're facing any of the other many buildings in North Hills. I ordered a wine off the menu, they didn't have it. I chose a different one- they didn't have it. So I got a Shotgun Betty, which came in a can for $7. Terrible experience. I won't go back. read more
