Levetto offers a very casual dining experience where one can come and enjoy some hearty food. The portions are plentiful and reasonably priced but overall the food lacks depth and flavour. We ordered the Carbonara and the Cavatelli pasta dishes which were both a little on the bland side. The pasta was perfectly al dente, there was the right amount of sauce but the flavour unfortunately, was not good enough to bring us back. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent. We wanted to go out for a quick dinner, and based on good reviews on Yelp, chose this diner. We do not think that Torontonians are so clueless about food, so the only conclusion is that most of the reviews are written by the restaurant. We ordered two salads, which were decent - packaged very fresh greens, all fresh ingredients, dressing was from the bottle. Then we ordered Funghi and Potato small pizzas. The base of the "pizza" looked like a baguette - no one who had real pizza would consider this a pizza at all. Funghi "pizza' was edible, but the potato "pizza" was awful. Potato pizza is our favorite pizza when we visit Rome, and what we were served does not remotely resemble thie original. We also ordered pasta carbonara - and it was not good, either. It should be made with pancetta - this one had boiled bacon in it. Never again! read more

Disappointed! We went there early Saturday evening after reviewing some of the comments on Yelp. The website had great pictures the menu looks pretty great and the prices was also great. We thought it was a casual dining restaurant. we didn't mind the self seating and the ordering of our meal from the cash at the front. When we got there was a big screen TV showing how the pasta and a pizza were made and it all look really fresh and delicious. However to our surprise the pizza dough with already pre made (cooked) and all they did was put fresh toppings on it and rebuked it in the oven. That to me is not fresh. Fresh means the pizza dough is made to order. The only thing fresh was the toppings and the freshly grated cheese on my pasta . This is equivalent as you could get to getting a frozen pizza and putting it in the oven at home. The pasta we ordered was Carbonara and they claimed to have it made it fresh however it did not taste fresh more like the pasta was pre cooked. For a Saturday night when we ordered there were already items that were already sold out or didn't have enough ingredients to make it so that was disappointing and limited our choices on the menu to order . The staff was friendly and courteous but all in all this experience was much like eating at a mall food court. read more

Delicious pasta, amazing pizza and a cozy atmosphere. They make the dough and pasta in house, and you can really taste it. We got the smoked prosciutto pizza and the carbonara pasta, they were both so good! Fresh ingredients and the mix of flavours were just amazing. I was told to visit this place from a friend living on dovercourt. He explained it simply as a proper Italian establishment with great flavours. One day after a miserable drive home from work I decided that I would bury myself in carbs and fall into a food coma. I ordered the Carbonara and Rigatoni pasta. Boy was I not disappointed. Both of the dishes were plentiful and full of flavour! My gf and I split each dish down the middle and were easily able to finish all the food. This was my second visit and just like my first visit the food was amazing. This time I ordered a smoked bacon pizza with arugula and toasted almonds. The arugula was placed on top and not cooked into the pizza. Love that. The sauce was sweet and flavourful. It's had dates or fig in it. The sprinkling of toasted almonds was such a surprise treat. Had one slice in the car. Can't wait to get home and have some more - perhaps with a plate and a glass is wine versus the top of the pizza box on my lap. Highly recommend the salads and pasta. I stopped in because I had a wicked pasta craving but wasn't expecting too much. The person at the counter (Alyssa) expertly guided me through the menu and aided my decision (Trecce). She was very positive and set a great tone to my visit. The food took under 10 mins to prepare and I was blown away by the sizeable dish. Instead we ordered the Verde (it was delicious with plenty of toppings) and the Pollo (also good but with fewer toppings... especially lacking in sundried tomatoes). Went with a couple girlfriends for dinner, we each ordered a glass of red wine and a medium pizza. The pizza was great, that's why this rating is as high as it is. If I were rating this place on services though it would get a zero. I showed up last, the server wouldn't take my wine order for the first 10 minutes.. we ordered our pizzas, finished our wine and then.. NOTHING. She never came to check on our food, ask if we wanted more wine or refill our water. We sat there for over 2 hours after we'd finished eating our pizzas, and not once did anyone come and see if we a) wanted our bills or b) wanted anything else to drink or c) wanted dessert. Needless to say, I left no tip and I would not recommend it as a sit down restaurant. Maybe it's great for take-out. read more

I had such a great experience eating here last Friday night. Kam, the President of Levetto, invited us back and Executive Chef Shahir was kind enough to cook for us. We really didn't enjoy our food the first time but because the staff and the actual service was really nice, we decided to give Levetto another chance. We had the arugula salad with chicken breast and the trecce. The arugula salad was really good. I liked the addition of dried apricot which I have not seen before. I would give it a 9/10 (not 10/10 because it didn't completely blow my mind). The trecce had a really nice heat to it thanks to the chili flake. It was quite unique. Now, the desserts was so insanely good. The warm brown butter and coconut semolina cake was the best cake I have ever had (10/10 for sure)! Every time I took a bite, it's almost like I forgot how good it was and then I got to relive the incredible experience again. We also had the panna cotta which was also excellent. I guess I just came in on a bad night the first time I had Levetto. I'm really glad I gave it another chance. It is a restaurant I recommend because the food is good and the service is really, really excellent. read more

Went there for the first time today. I loved the casual atmosphere - you order at the counter and they bring you the food. The service was great - they forgot about one of our orders and when we asked them about it, they were very apologetic and offered to discount the dish. The pasta here is great!! My personal favourite is the bucatini and is the main reason I've given it a couple chances. Unfortunately, the service is pretty bad. A couple weeks ago I waited over an hour for my food. This past weekend, I phoned in an order for pick up and when I arrived, they didn't have my order in the system so I had to wait again. I've only ever tried takeout/delivery from a couple of the Levetto locations so I can't vouch for a dining-in experience, but I really enjoyed all of my meals. Tried the carbonara pasta, which was a huge portion and delicious. My favourite items to order are their pizzas though. That crust is so tasty! And that fior di latte mozzarella...mmmmmmmm. My only gripe is that the cost for upsizing to a medium pizza is kind of ridiculous. It is basically double the cost of the pizza for not double the amount of food. read more

I've gotten takeout from Levetto a whole bunch of times and have loved every dish that I've tried. My coworkers and I have all been very excited that we have this great restaurant close to our work. One evening, the restaurant seemed very busy and I left unsatisfied with the dish I had been given. I contacted management to let them know and within minutes I received a response from a lovely lady from head office. After that, I received follow ups from two others members in management. Their quick response was much appreciated and everyone that I spoke with was very friendly. Shahir (head Chef) personally emailed me and offered a catered dinner for our whole office made by himself. I never would have expected such an offer and I certainly was NOT trying to get any free stuff from the restaurant, but I happily accepted. The food was delicious and my coworkers were very happy to receive a complimentary dinner at the office. Excellent customer service and great food! read more

My wife and I attended an art show last night, and wanted to enjoy a decent meal while out. We were pleasantly surprised by finding this gem of a restaurant. Modern, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed the Pollo Tuscano pizza, as well as a soppressata pizza. Served on planks, a very homey, and pleasant experience. The pizza more than exceeded....absolutely fresh, hot, delicious, and perfect! The freshness, and simplicity of the dishes allows you to enjoy the true foods. Not having the flavors hidden under mountains of cheese, other ingredients. The fresh basil on top of the pizza adds a layer of fresh flavor that really does add beauty to the dish...and a fragrance that is awesome. Undoubtedly the best pizza you could have in Toronto. The Margherita pizza has a good texture and isn't as dry as the other pizza joints. Spaghetti Carbonara is nice, pasta is al dente topped off with good flavours. read more
