The food is great and service is good too. The lunch special offers decent value. I love their pizza and seating is comfortable. You must try it! You pay at the cash and they bring the food to you.

Cool place to get brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee, treats, and desserts!

We went in a group of 3 in a lazy early Saturday afternoon. No lineups at all while having full staff behind the counter. Pretty quick to cook our order. Their pizza was simply a beauty to have. I like their very eye-catching pizza oven a lot and it is a real deal. The pizza baked from it was so hot and crisp while having bits of charcoal flavor on the toppings. Nicely done. The pastas were equally nice to have. We had a Broccolini & Sausage Penne and a Chicken Alfredo Pasta with EXTRA chicken and parmesan in it. Evilly delicious with parmesan cheese, carbs, high-geared sausages, and extra virgin olive oil. Well, it was a slow Saturday brunch, whatever! Just have some cool food fun to start the weekend in a Yelper fashion! Good menu varieties. Seriously recommended!

I come here not infrequently to catch up with my family over dinner. It's a casual restaurant which offers quick and homey Italian food, including multiple pasta and pizza dishes. There are definitely fancier and more authentic places (e.g. Terroni, Pizzeria Libretto), but there is no denying that the offerings at Cibo are tasty and a standout option when you are looking for something in a class a bit lower than the aforementioned places. It is very reasonably priced and they have specific days of the week where pizza or pasta are on special. Highly recommend for a more casual and laid back meal.

I decided to ordered some take out from this place. The food is outstanding however, I would recommend dining in as the pizza was a bit cold by the time I received. The price is slightly high for the portion and for what it is.

Beets and Goat Cheese salad. Definitely hits the spot every time

So happy we found this place when we did! Satisfies the massive pasta craving and always tastes fresh and delicious. This is definitely our go-to spot for pasta when we're in the area. Portion sizes look small in the take out containers, but I assure you, it's enough. I usually get the gnocchi gorgonzola and a beets and goat cheese salad. I love both so much, I can never pick just one! For some reason, I can't order the gnocchi online so I always have to call in, but they do have it available. I like to get it with pancetta if they have. It just adds that little salty something. It's a super saucy gnocchi dish and they usually have chunks of other stuff in it like tomatoes. It keeps the dish light and fresh despite it being basically a big ol' bowl of carbs. I love getting this for a quick and easy date night meal. Service is quick and friendly. Can't wait to order again!

We ordered in cause we wanted pizza and gnocchi. So we decided to order from Via Cibo. After we placed the order, food same within 30 minutes. I was shocked with the speed. On to the food. Pizza was somewhat warm, but still tasted great. The dough wasn't soggy at all and their sauce with pepperoni was just right. Gnocchi was piping hot still. And very tasty. I'm glad Via Cibo has moved onto using more sustainable packaging. Overall experience was pretty good. Only comments are pizza isn't as hot as I wanted and maybe just a bit more pricey. But can't complain if you want freshly made pizza.

It looks proper from the outside and has a wood burning oven, but it's more on the casual side and family-oriented. It's a restaurant/fast food hybrid. You order your food from the counter, they give you a sign with a number, you find your own table, and they bring the food to you. They still check up on you, no tip required. I tried two different entrees. The Chicken & Portobello, which didn't have enough chicken and portobello, but had a lot of plain, dry spaghetti. The Veal was decent, but was more like a cutlet, had lots of sauce and mushrooms. The salad was also a bit on the plain side too. The portions were on the smaller side? Overall okay experience, average Italian food, but nothing stands out.

    Osso Bucco linguini $15.99

Stopped in for a quick midweek lunch date with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The space is nicely laid out with mix of tables and banquettes. Once you place your order, you're given a number to take to your table and they bring out the food to you. We ordered Osso Bucco linguini (you can opt for Penne, if you please) and a veal panini. The Osso Bucco linguini was a hearty mound of al dente pasta enrobed in silky tomato sauce with shredded chunks of braised beef topped with generous amount of shaved Parm. The pasta was perfectly cooked and I loved the balanced sauce with all the chunks of beef and tomato. I meant to take some home but it was so good, my husband and I finished it. The veal sandwich was lightly fried veal cutlet topped with sauteed mushrooms served with a small tossed green on the side. Although it was tasty enough, it was over shadowed by how good the Osso Bucco pasta was. Our first time at Via Cibo won't be our last for sure. Will be back to try more pasta offerings soon.

Was craving Italian and since I'm a huge fan of Cibo's food, I decided to try Via Cibo and I'm SO GLAD I DID. The food, especially the chicken parmigiana was amazing! So flavourful and a decent portion size. I got a side of Tuscan fries as well which was also delicious. I ordered through Ubereats and was offered free bastone dolce (cinnamon sticks with Nutella) if you purchase $15 or more (which I did). I'll definitely be reordering from here!

Lovely exterior with patio seating and a large tent overhead for shade from the sun and protection from the rain.

My taste buds have been spoiled in Socal where good food is plentiful, affordable and authentic. It's turned me into a food snob where I refuse to go to a place that has anything less than 4 stars. The exception to my rule is when a fellow Yelper, whom I trust, recommends a place. The lovely Shubhi A. suggested for us to meet up at Via Cibo (you say chee-bow) for a girly lunch date. I can see why she's a regular here: it's a stylish eatery with shiny metal light fixtures, artsy wall decor and with a pizza oven that looks likes it's bedazzled! Good for big groups with a large communal table and even an outdoor patio. Staff are as helpful and sweet as can be (tip - come as soon as they open on a weekday before the lunch rush if you like things quiet AND you want good service). Order at the cashier, choose your seat and they'll deliver your food to you. WE ORDERED: Margherita (thin crust) pizza - crushed tomato sauce, Fior Di Latte and fresh basil. SHUBHI A. TIP - if you like a crisp crust but not hard, ask for it well done. It was ok, but Shubhi A. said it's usually better. Mista salad with spinach, romaine, arugula, grape tomatoes, celery with white balsamic dressing. Simple and fresh. Ossobuco Ragu pasta - shredded braised veal, broccolini, slow roasted tomato and Grana Padano Cheese. There was tender juicy meat in each forkful YUM! The pasta was softer than al dente which is how I like my pasta. Stella di Nutella (you choose the flavor of your two sorbetto/gelato scoops) with a scoop of Raspberry lime, a scoop of Strawberry Rhubarb sorbetto, Nutella drizzle and a sprinkling of powdered sugar. YUM YUM YUM! The fruit flavored sorbettos paired perfectly with the ooey gooey melty chocolate and hazelnut Nutella. Solid 3.5 for the food bumped up to 4 for their ambiance and wonderful service (Thursday early lunch time). Would definitely come back to try their brunch and take advantage of their awesome daily specials (see tip with pic). Thanks to Shubhi A. for suggesting this charming place.

I really liked my recent experience at this Italian cafe. I have tried this place a while back and visited again. It's a casual place with self seating and you order your food and they bring it to your table. You get a number and there is still table service. The food options are modern Italian bistro but they have all the favorites pasta, pizza, panini, salads and entrees. Also espresso station and gelato. Food is all freshly made. Love the pizza dough it's nice and thin and baked to perfection. Ample parking in this plaza with the Longos. Brunch is amazing as well if you're looking for this on the weekends. Overall great Italian food stop in this area.

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

Nice local Italian restaurant that is enjoyed by us locals as well as those who come down for shows…read moreat the St Lawrence ctr for the arts and the Meridian Hall as well as sports fan here for games. They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
