I never leave reviews but this is ridiculous 3 SEPARATE TIMES I have rushed to this store from work in order to make it before closing and 3 SEPARATE TIMES the store manager decided to just close early lock the doors with hours clearly visible. The first time was 20 minutes early the following 2 were over half an hour early. I was just trying to exchange a pair of jeans was told "we already counted out the register sorry" and turned away. It's not easy to make it over and a lot of folks are still very anxious in person shopping and make specific plans to venture out. It's unacceptable. read more

We had an amazing experience at Levi's...my wife was looking for a specific pair of jeans she previously purchased online which hadn't fit well. We came into the store and were fortunate to meet Charlotte who walked my wife through the different sizes and was certain which size would be best for my wife...given they hadn't fit when my wife ordered them online she wasn't sure, but Charlotte was absolutely right. Not only did Charlotte get the jeans for her she walked both of us to the fitting room to make sure everything was perfect. Ordinarily we'd take down the size and order online but we had such a good experience and were so pleased with the jeans we bought them. Thanks again Charlotte! read more

As a PSA, the Levi's Market Street store offers a custom bespoke program for jeans, called "Lot 1". You are able to create the jeans of your dreams and pick your own denim fabric, thread/rivet/patches, and even dictate style (no belt loops, no problem)! Marco, a Lead Tailor for the Lot 1 Program, has been amazing to work with and I couldn't be happier with my first Lot 1 bespoke commission. The most important thing about any article of clothing is fit. I have a slim waist, wide hips, and a hollow back which is quite challenging to properly fit but Marco was able to cut a pair of jeans that perfectly contours with my body. Marco also has a keen eye for both classic and modern style and will be able to turn your vision into reality. In my case, I wanted higher rise jeans with no belt loops in a semi-slim cut more closely resembling trousers, that could be paired with blazers for a more semi-formal look. I am happy to say that Marco has perfectly executed on my vision and crafted the perfect pair of bespoke jeans for me. read more

It's pretty disappointing to drive all the day downtown and be told I can't try two pair of pants on when you aren't closed and it's 30 minutes prior to closing. I watched someone walk out of the fitting room right in front of me and mgmt insisted the fitting room was closed. I understand the need for special cleaning but if someone just used the fitting room I know it's not being cleaned yet. The customer service and attitude of the manager on market street on 3/22 was awful. -don't let people in your store and watch them shop if you aren't going to let them try it on. Notify the customer the fitting rooms are closed. - help people out! Don't tell someone the fitting room is closed when you just watched someone else come out. Is it really that big of a difference if I try on two pair of pants during your OPEN hours or was this more of a power trip? - change your hours to close at 5:30 then (this way people don't drive and sit in traffic to come try something on) -have a better attitude...you work in customer service Sincerely, The ICU nurse who has HELPED people and cared for covid patients for the last year wearing n95s and PAPRs. Charlotte is incredible! My boyfriend and I stopped by to kill some time while in SF. She took one look at me and picked out 2 pairs of jeans that fit me PERFECTLY. I'm 5'1 and built like a 12 year old so it can be difficult for me to find jeans that actually fit well. I've never felt I could wear Levi's, but this store actually carried my size! My mom and I visited this Levi's location this past weekend and had an amazing experience! The staff were very approachable and helpful! They clearly wanted to help and had very energetic vibes to them! There sales section was full of options and we ended up buying two sweatshirts, a pair of jeans, and a t shirt! Something I will say is the women's t shirts were double the price of the men's t shirts which I thought was very odd. I don't mind men's t shirts so naturally I opted for the cheaper option. Other than that, the employees and store atmosphere at this location were all awesome! I feel torn about the new Levi's location. While the Post St store hasn't always made good use of its space, this one feels extremely packed between the increase in foot traffic and clothing all over the place. On the other hand, they've put together some cool sections to show the history of the brand and seem to display their fits a lot better now. I'll be sad when Post gets turned into Apple (bleh), but maybe this one will come to grow on me. read more

I didn't know Levi's actually fixes pants in their own stores, which I had to fly 3000 miles west to find out and then to learn there is one in NYC that does it too! There is a huge selection of discount stuff in the back. I found a pretty cool denim jacket. The staff was pretty nice and help, and the store was really clean. The discount section was kind of messy but I understand. I'm usually not into Levi's brand but the jacket was fitted and on sale. I'm glad I came into the store. read more

Update. Made another visit to this store a decided to give it 2 more stars because of the excellent shopping experience I received. There was a limited edition Canada Goose vest that I liked but they did not have my size. I stopped by to check out jean jackets for my boyfriend. The associates were very helpful--I didn't see his size on the floor so they radioed the people upstairs to check and they found his size. During the wait, at least 3 other associates checked in with me to ask me if I needed any help and also double checked to see if they were finding the jacket upstairs. The person helping me also gave me tips on sizing since it was a present and I wasn't sure of sizing, I didn't know if my boyfriend needed a Large or a XL because of his height but the associate assured me that a L would be sufficient. My favorite store for wearing street clothes. Personal are sometimes kind sometimes helpful and I have found jeans i like. I don't like jeans from the store close to them, Old navy (I have one from Houston, it's not the same quality and tissue is cheap). They did some prices very interesting. Closets are very correct, someone show you where you can enter and survey that nobody can't see you from outside. It's my preferred store when I'm upset. read more

This review is about Nori. What an absolute gem! I was lucky to run into her in the dressing room and she was so good at explaining how the jeans fit since they stretch after a few wearings. Without that explanation I might have purchased the jeans in a size too big. And then when I was leaving the store, I decided to buy a second pair of the jeans I already have, and like magic Nori appeared as I was just about to leave the store. Visited this location on May 5th around 1:30pm. Walked into the store with my baby and husband. Male employee with long brown hair and a backwards hat looked right at us and didn't say a word (no "hi" "how are you", nada). Proceeded to walk to the women's section, African American woman with hair pulled into a high bun and Jean jacket also looked right at us, didn't speak. Another customer walked in and the employee says "hi, how are you??" In a chipper voice. Lack of customer service means we'll spend our dollars elsewhere- was looking to buy 3 pairs of full price jeans. Oh well, certainly not buying from here. read more

Charlotte Crier was extremely helpful to​ me yesterday. I threw away all of my jeans, so I was in a desperate need of a re-stock. I walked in only knowing that I wanted one black, one blue, and one loose/boyfriend style jeans. Charlotte was on the sale's floor and I went to her to ask for help (never meet her before, this was our first time meeting). I told her needed to get fitted to know what size jeans to put on. She took one look at me and knew that I was a 30L 32/33W... I was so impressed! She pulled out some skinny hi-rise jeans and a straight crop split. I tried out 7-8 pair of jeans and only one didn't fit me! I was so amazed. Charlotte also was pulling jeans from the sale's rack and out of the 4 pair of jeans I bought, I had to pay in full for only one pair! Charlotte was listening to my complaints, worries, and ideal style looks for jeans. For example, I knew I didn't want to buy any light color jeans (especially white), instead, she pulled out super skinny grey jeans because she loved the way it matched my skin tone. I put it on and was shocked at how much I liked them too! I really appreciate Charlotte's help because I personally hate shopping and she made my experience so effortless. I left the shop in 40 minutes. It was the fastest and most efficient shopping experience I ever had. I also saved a bunch of money. I averaged​ $45 per pair of jeans which is crazy. I am planning to come back again because I definitely need Charlotte's help with getting a jean jacket. :) read more

My Jean jacket was stolen years ago, and it was simply time to find another. The selection process was a little overwhelming. While we weren't approached for a bit, when someone did make contact, the employee was super helpful and patient. When I went to pay, and this is the inspiration for the review, I encountered Olivia, and she was spectacular. When I inquired about a sale, she was super helpful in identifying the correct item and discount. She was refreshingly skilled, friendly and professional. Levi's has jeans that fit my bottom. For this alone, they get 3 1/2 stars. I have (until recently) given up on jeans. Shopping for pants always puts me into a funk, but shopping for jeans will put me into a blinding homicidal rage. Filled with anger at my own body shape and the fact that no where in SF will make custom jeans. The end of the 'low rise' craze was like a cool and drenching rain in a season of drought. I can't handle my jeans displaying 10 inches of back and butt crack every time I sit in low-risers. Or the constant tug-of-war to keep the jeans at a respectable level. Could women with ample asses finally shop for denim again? I cautiously took my case to the Gap. I learned that the end of low-rises hasn't yet reached the Gap, and while the end of low-rise jeans DIDN'T mean the end of the skinny leg. After nearly requiring an amputation to free my leg of the skinny-legged Chinese finger/leg trap (I actually had to sit on the floor to wrestle the jeans off) I decided to leave. The Gap really needs to consider additional cuts (that aren't boot) for people with hips and bottoms. After leaving The Gap, I went to Levi's. I have never worn/bought Levis jeans, but while I was already in a really bad mood already about shopping for jeans I wanted to give them a try. The service was friendly and I explained my jeans issue to the local sales woman. She picked out a cut for me in three different sizes. I tried them on and was pleasantly surprised. The Bold Curve actually worked! No back/crack dilemma, no muffin top, they'll stay up with the right amount of stretch. Wow. There are actually jeans out there that I can buy off a rack that fit me. I went back to the counter and asked to see the Supreme Curve jeans, but they don't carry them in store (I wonder why). I also noticed that I wear a larger size in Levi's then in most pants (I'm a 12 in pants, but a 14 in Levi's). However, I've finally figured out at the ripe old age of 34 to buy clothing that FITS and not based on their tag size (goodbye sized 8 pants that fit my ego, but not my ass!). I didn't buy that day (buying jeans is like an eclipse - it happens every few years and must be carefully prepared and planned for) but when I do buy jeans, I will return to this store and buy the Bold Curves. This store saved my ass!! LITERALLY. I split my jeans on the way to work and was forced to stand on BART so that my ass was eye-level with some poor guy who got a view of my jean malfunction. I hurried to work, waiting for the moment Levi's opened. I was going to go back to the tried and true after my fancy designer jeans totally let me down and bared my ass to all. Chained to my desk till 10am. I reluctantly got up from my desk, tied my jacket around my waist like a nerdy dad and braved the cold on my walk to Levi's. The store was really nice. A bit overwhelming, but clean, bright and consisted of great design. I made my way to the "Made & Crafted" section where I was greeted by a sales associate. I told him my desired fit, size and about my "little situation." He was soo understanding and reassured me that it happens all the time. He never had me bend over once to search for a size and got me into a fitting room pronto. After trying on about 5 pairs of jeans that he enthusiastically brought me, I found the ones I wanted. He came back to check in on me and took the jeans to have the magnet removed so I could wear them straight out of the fitting room. Thank god, He was my savior! read more

100% so glad I came here, and I will never purchase jeans from another location again. I came here with a gift card from the President of the company. Long story. Needless to say, I was excited to see what the experience would be like as someone who had never been in the store before, BUT had worked in retail, and in denim before. I was greeted when I walked in, even though I had huge headphones on. I think her name was Monty. She was AMAZING. I didn't have a CLUE what I was looking for, just that I wanted to look and feel great, and she went to work. She helped me find a pair of Skinny Boyfriend jeans in a medium wash that I just LOVED as soon as I put them on. She led me to the fitting room and got me all set up, and ran out to grab whatever different sizes I needed when I asked. She wasn't looming, but was also there as soon as I had a question or needed a size. She unfortunately had to go on her lunch (unfortunately for me, not for her lol), but I was actually well taken care of by two other gals who came in to check on me as well. I drifted out of the fitting room and over to the denim bar. WOW! I had no idea that a denim company had finally realized that 3 women can all wear a size 4 and have completely different shapes! There is a style for straight, semi-curvy, and curvy girls, and each style comes in each size in each fit. LOVE! This is the first time I have slid into a pair of jeans that fit my body PERFECTLY, and not only that, but I found that almost all of them (give or take a size, since each pair of denim has a slightly different fit), fit my body! Incredible. Seriously, it sounds small, but it is so life changing. Needless to say, I left with 4 pairs of jeans that I am PSYCHED to have in my wardrobe. The line was a little long but moved quickly. They were having a deal, where if you spent $250, you got 40% off. Boom. With my gift card, walked out of there almost having stolen the jeans they were so cheap. I will never purchase a pair of jeans from another denim company again. Period. read more

I stopped in because I wanted a new pair of black Levi's. I looked around for about 20 minutes and finally someone asked me if I needed help. I asked for her to measure me so I could know which pants to try on. I had just come off of a 5 day fast so I knew I was a bit slimmer than normal. Although she had a measuring tape on her belt, she just looked at me and said "hmmm, 31 or 32." I said, "can't you measure me with that?" And pointed to her measuring tape. She just repeated, "31 or 32, yes." I wore a 28-29 before I started my fast. After 5 days without food, the last thing I wanted was a gross overestimate of my waistline. Oh did I mention I am dieting because I'm getting married in a month? Thanks for making a starving bride feel fat. F U Levi's store. Your customer service sucks. Your store is messy. For being in Levis HQs backyard, I would put the manager here on notice! The Sale room is trashed every time i go in there! Jeans are in NO order, on the floor, and overall a mess. If I was a manager i would be embarrassed! Secondly they advertise they open at 9, but sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, and if they don't, they do not feel the need to explain to anyone waiting outside why its 40m past opening and the door is locked. The Castro store is smaller, but so neat and tidy if you want a more intimate shopping experience (yes they have a sale section too). I had just come from Chicago where Levis has a large location on Michigan Ave and was sorted, neat and tidy in ALL of the departments. This store has a lot, a lot of room for improvement. read more

The new Levi's Store opened on Market Street today! The interior of the store is beautiful and is much more intimate than the previous location on Post Street. In celebration of the store's grand opening, Levi's is providing free pedicab rides this week courtesy of Cabrio Taxi. We were treated to a brief, scenic tour around the Union Square area from an awesome gentleman named Paul. I've always appreciated the Levi's brand so I look forward to checking out the store again in the future. read more

At the outset, let me say that this review isn't based on the quality of the product or the staff. Rather, its based on a recent decision they made regarding their merchandise. This store's decision to remove their discount/ clearance selection has effectively eliminated my reason to shop at the store. Before, the clearance section was a destination on any trip I would take into SF. No matter what I was scheduled to do, I would find some way to make a quick trip to the clearance section at this location. And invariably I would purchase something. It was a special part of my trips I always looked forward to. I preferred this location because its centrality and its clearance section was WWAAYYYY better than any of the Levis outlets. I used to be able to find their "Made and Crafted" and "Commuter" clothing at significant discounts. Now, I have no reason to stop at this store beyond their tailor shop. I do hope they bring this section back. Otherwise, I might as well just purchase clearance items online and take the risk that the product won't fit/be different when it arrives. read more

My sister and I decided to go shopping late on black friday. We did not want to deal with long lines and big crowds so we went downtown around 6:00pm. The first store we entered was Levis because we have never been. I expected the employees to be tired and non responsive because I know that working on black friday is extremely tiring and draining. To my surprise, the employees were upbeat, happy, asked us if we needed help, and assisted us with our needs. They even managed to have short but sweet conversations with us. They also made time to measure me to get the perfect fitting jean! When I was in the fitting room, the attendants were doing their job right by grabbing us different sizes when we needed it. They acted as if It was no problem to them and did not sound annoyed when we asked them to get us a different size. I am very happy with how they treated my sister and I. We were assisted by several associates in the store all which were awesome! Great job in hiring caring and well rounded associates! We left the store with two perfect fitting jeans. I will be coming back because they facilitate great costumer service and the energy they give is great even on black friday! I truly commend their costumer service based mentality. read more

I stopped into this Levi's location today because I was in desperate need of one great pair of perfect-fitting jeans. I had been wearing the same 3 pairs of pants for almost a year now, and I was finally fed up. Buying jeans has forever been a daunting task for me... from school shopping in the 6th grade to purchasing dress pants for an interview last year. So as you can very well guess, I had been putting this off for quite some time. I should start by saying that I felt it was very easy to navigate through the store, though I had never been there before. The numerous sales associates communicate via radio and seem to do a good job helping everyone who walks through the door. Being that it was a Saturday afternoon, the employees were busy, but that did not seem to interfere with their ability to assist me. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the various sizes, fits and washes, which was a good thing because I know nothing of the sort. I am 5'7'' with a small waist, but I have very (noticeably) thick hips and thighs. It is normally difficult for me to find jeans that fit right away. The size that fits my waist is much too long for my legs, and the pair with the correct length will never fit past my knees. The reason I came to Levi's was because someone had told me about their Curvy Fit jeans. I was pleasantly surprised. As I tried on the first pair, I was astounded to feel how easily they slid right up and hugged in all the right places. Seriously, I even did a little happy dance in the fitting room. The best thing about these jeans is how COMFY they are! They are flattering, the material is high-quality AND they're comfy! Definitely a win-win. The second awesome thing is that both pairs of jeans were originally priced at $78, but there was a sale going on. One pair was 50% off and the other was 70% off! I went to the register expecting to pay at least $100, but my total came to $67.96. I left the store with one pair of Modern Rise Skinny jeans with Demi Curve and another pair of Modern Rise Skinny Bootcut jeans with Demi Curve. How I miss the old Levi's store. When the new location first opened, I was so excited to visit, but when my boyfriend and I finally walked through, we couldn't help but say, "That's it?" Perhaps it's the layout, but it just seems so cramped with both the men and women's sections on the same floor, especially coming from a 3-story shop. It also makes it seem like there's not as much inventory. It is a cool idea to have all the styles of denim in one place along the wall, but the feel is just not the same. I can only imagine how packed it gets during busy times, especially considering how crazy it was the old location. I've only been to the store in the evening when people have trickled out. Not to be left out - the employees are helpful and friendly. I just want the old store back! The Levi's Store - a San Francisco staple, is definitely out-shined by the massive Old Navy store next door. They do not sell their Supreme Curve jeans in the store, only online. Why, oh why, would they decide to keep an entire product from the store, and an entire body-shape from being able to shop there? Can't stand to see women with big butts in their store? Feel that all women with big butts should have to shop in shame at home? Or did Levis simply figure out that they can bilk us out of lots of cash by making us order each size we want to try on, then have to pay return and shipping charges for the ones that don't fit. The name on the door makes me expect something wonderful. Ads show me cool, hip, the newest "technology" in jeans.... So I made a point to visit the new grand opened "flagship" store. Boy, was I disappointed. Walked in with my friend past the greeter who is looking at her feet. I see a manager type person leaning on the wall and expect him to at least smile at us-- no luck. A guy who helps me later says they have increased their staff so most people are new. Picked out some jeans on my own, pulled my own size as the associate was too busy ignoring me, then headed to the fitting room to be ignored some more. Why I gave them $28 for a t shirt in the end I'm struggling with... I still love this brand. read more

Customer service within the store is amazing but.... came in about two days ago to buy some pants for work fast foward two days looked in my bag and the sensors are still on both my pairs, called in to speak to a manager to inform them the sensors were still on , knowing that I'd have to go back to the store to get them removed, I informed the manager that "you should teach your employes on howto do a better job " he replied ya we always do ,you can come to the store to get them removed thank you" *hangup* Ya if you do a good job why are you going to waste my time coming back to you store to get these sensors removed if first of all your employes forgot to get the senor off in the first place. 1. I had a good experience with my cashier and the floor staff, I get it he was busy, but forgot to take the sensor off 2. Wow!!! There was two workers who doesn't know anything about Deaf. One person approached us by the tee table and spoke. We told him in gesture that we are Deaf. He was inexperienced and looked scared away from us. Other worker, bravely and approached us but we told him again that we are Deaf. I heard he asked my partner, " What? he doesn't speak English?" I was like whoa!! He walked away from us. So what kind of customer service are they? It was very rude and inexperienced as dull workers!!! Never want to go in that store again! read more
