We have a refrigerator that is decades old (it was here when we bought the house). Inside is a business card from Lewis Appliance in Scottsdale with a handwritten date, 1990! So, the first time we had issue with the unit, we called Lewis Appliance and they fixed the problem. It's a family business -- they were fun and friendly, as well as efficient. Two years later, I decided to add stainless steel door inserts on our oak-panel fridge/freezer -- I called them to ask if it was something they could do -- yes! Fridge/freezer now looks up to date and is beautiful. Another two years down the road, our unit was making noises. The son-in-law stopped by and discovered there was a clogged line which he cleared and the problem was resolved. We couldn't be more pleased with this company. read more

I love this company! My refrigerator suddenly stopped working. I was referred to Lewis by my home warranty company. When I called for service they were super booked up and the earliest they could fit me in was in 48 hours, but the scheduler said she would try to see if she could find someone today because it was a refrigerator. She called be back and was able to get me service the same day! She was extremely patient and so helpful. The servicemen who came to my house were very polite and professional and quickly diagnostic the issue and fixed things. Great service! Great company! read more

We put in a request with our home warranty company, Fidelity, because our ice maker quit making ice, and we noticed that the refrigerator was constantly running. We kept adjusting the temperature, and nothing was happening, and then we started noticing that the food wasn't staying as cold. YIKES!! It's such an awful feeling when you think that there is a good possibility that you are going to have to throw out all of the food in your refrigerator and freezer. Luckily, Vince from Lewis Appliance came over, and he diagnosed the issue immediately---there was a layer of frost on our back wall of the freezer, and he determined that the defroster heater was not working. When he took the back panel off the freezer, we could not believe the amount of ice and frost that had built up. Vince removed the ice and frost with a steamer, and then replaced the defroster heater and one of the circuits, and helped me get all the shelves back into place. Voila! I contracted Lewis Appliance to service my refrigerator. Took a week to get into the schedule, now this is my refrigerator! I got a confirmation email from them. I called the day of the service and the individual that I talked to initially did not have me on the schedule, after being on hold she determined one of 2 techs would be at my house between 1 pm and 3 pm. At 305pm, after no contact, I called and the same individual said they were running late but the tech would call me. At 3:50 pm I called again and this time it went to voicemail even though their hours were till 4 pm. No one contacted me on the day of the service. Their excuse was they had subcontracted my work to another tech from another company not telling me! So when that tech called earlier in the week and said he was from a different company, never saying he represented Lewis Appliance, I told him Lewis Appliance was coming out to make the repair. He said ok and hung up, that was it. So today they left a message that they can come out a week later...nothing but an excuse for not showing up, nothing about the mix up on their end and not telling me a tech from another company was coming, nothing to even try to expedite this repair, just throw me back into the queue like anyone on the list. fool me once my fault, I would not use them again. read more

When I moved into a new house, I had a problem with a couple of the appliances. Since I was trying to get both appliances fixed with one service call, I needed an appliance service company that could service a Kenmore washer and a Sub Zero refrigerator. I called Dino's appliances since they got good yelp reviews, but was told they did not service Sub Zero. They referred me to Lewis Appliance Service. I asked Lewis Appliance if they could service both Kenmore and Sub Zero. I explained the problems in detail and they assured me that they could fix both. When the first guys from Lewis Appliance came, I told them the refrigerator door would not close and seal properly. They were completely confused(even though it was written on their work order). They spent about 30 minutes looking at the condenser and motor, then told me I probably needed a new "board" and it would cost over $450. They did not listen to me or allow me to explain the problem. Once they understood the door was the problem, they said they had to order a part and would be back. These guys had no idea how to fix the washer. They said they didn't work on this type of washer and eventually I was told to call someone else. When I asked who to call, they referred me to Dino's Appliance service. (the same guys I called originally) Lewis Appliance charged me $75 for a service call, even though I was quoted $50 on the phone. I called Dino's appliance back and they came and fixed the washer in 5 minutes. Service call was $106. Eventually, Lewis Appliance came back with a different guy and he installed the new part that was supposed to fix the door problem. It didn't. Service call $75. They promised to get back to me, but eventually called back and said they couldn't fix my refrigerator. They referred me to a different service company and agreed to refund $100 to cover the cost of the new service company. The new company came today; Tri City Appliance. He looked at my refrigerator and immediately found the problem. One of the shelves in the door was in the wrong position and was interfering with the closing of the door. (common problem with older sub zero refrigerators) He fixed it in 30 seconds. Service call $85. Total time spent=5 weeks. Total money spent =$241 for a 5 minute washer fix and adjustment of a door shelf in a refrigerator. read more

My Maytag Washer was off balance AGAIN. I didn't want a new machine, so when I called Lewis Appliance, they seemed familiar with the problem. The lady answering the phone said they would need the machine over night. She also gave me an estimate for repairing the machine. The over night turned into 6 days, and the estimate was way under......... The men that returned the machine were very nice, and said that it was the best machine ever made, and it should continue to work for another 20 years. I hope they're right. I'll give them 5 stars, if they are! It's still GREAT, so they get their 5 stars. They also came out when I was afraid it was off balance AGAIN, and said it was behaving normally. Let me start by saying, I don't typically leave bad reviews. However, I have never been spoke to by someone from a service company, like I was today. From being yelled at, to being called a liar, to finally speaking with someone else and still hearing the woman carrying on in the background. I am stunned at not only the lack of professionalism, but the complete lack of desire to offer good customer service. I called the company this morning to request service to my refrigerator and washing machine. I called at 7:50 am to find out that they opened at 8:00. No worries, I will call back at 8:00. Called back at 8:02 and left a detailed voice mail message. No call back. Then I called at 8:22, 8:39, 8:33 only to get voice mail again. No, I didn't leave a message because I had already done so at 8:02. Ok, one more time at 8:47. No answer and it went to voice mail. Let's see, it's 11:40 right now and still no call back. It will be interesting to see if they ever call back at all. I called Dr. Appliance (found on the internet) and he has already been here and left. Advice to companies, answer your phone or return your calls. It's the difference between a satisfied or unsatisfied customer. read more

If you have an older Sub-Zero, Lewis is the place to get competent service. Although it took a couple of trys, mine is running like new. Frank and Scott were amazingly patient and persistent to get to the bottom of the problem(s). Mary knew exactly how to respond when I called in. I woke up to my 3 dogs licking a slipper gooey mess on my kitchen floor in front of my side by side and discovered my frig had dyed. After calling several neighbors to see if they had any room in their freezer or frig for my semi thawed food; and making a few runs with my food to any neighbor who could help; I called my favorite Appliance Company, Spencers and told the Salesman, Dave Gibson I was in trouble my Refrigerator/Freezer was on the blink; he said they only recommend Lewis Appliance Service for repairs. I called Lewis at around 10 or 11 AM and spoke to Mary she was quick to put me at ease and said they could be out there the same day; however it may be as late as 3-4 PM; they were also very proactive and she asked me the model number, which I thought was awesome. Vince called me at 3:30PM and said he'd be there with in 18 minutes. He came in and with in 3 minutes and found the problem; and even better he was prepared with the parts needed to fix my frig. I can't tell you how relieved I was because I thought he was going to tell me to get my shopping shoes on and head to Spencers for a new side by side; just a week ago I was shopping for appliances with my Son and I did notice that the new nice quality Frig/Freezer combos are now running in the excess of $2500-4000. With in a few minutes Vince had replaced the Mother board to my GE Profile and even cleaned up and vacuumed the dust. I was elated to write a check for $455 instead $2500+. Thanks a bunch!!! My wife and I had a horrible experience with Lewis Appliance. Our home warranty company referred us to them. The technicians who showed up wasted about three hours of my time while they tried to figure out what the issue was with our oven. They finally gave up and said they would need to research the issue and follow up with us. The technicians were not professional and when they reassembled the stove they left a screw out on the counter. A week later I decided to follow up with the company (since I never heard back from them) and scheduled an appointment for them to come back to try and repair the oven. They said they would show up on 9/12 between noon and 2:00 PM. I called the office at 1:45 to see if they were still planning on showing up and Mary said yes the technician should be there any minute. Around 2:30 the technician called and said he would not be able to keep the appointment; he said he was on a job that was taking longer than he thought. He said he'll come tomorrow. I advised that tomorrow would not work with our schedule. I asked him if he could come to our home later in the day when he finished with the job he was on and he refused. He didn't even seem apologetic about failing to keep the appointment. read more

I called on Monday to have a service technician check my refrigerator; the freezer was going in and out of defrost mode. The lady that answered the phone said they would be in the area on Thursday; I live in Gold Canyon. I was a little disappointed by the length of the wait, but had previously purchased an ice maker from them four months prior so we had history. I asked her what time and she said 2PM to 4PM. I had to take a 1/2 off of work which was okay knowing I needed to get this fixed. After waiting 1 and 1/2 hours, I called because no one had arrived. There was no answer, I left a message. Finally after waiting for more than 2 hours and well after 4PM, I called again, again there was no answer, I left a message. No one ever showed up, and no one ever called. EXTREMELY RUDE TO NOT EVEN CALL, I will never use this service again!! I contacted Valleywide Appliance in Apache Junction, wow, such great people, took the time to listen to my issue, very knowledgeable and well informed on my GE Profile, provided possible diagnosis of the issue with parts and labor costs. I will definitely use them next time. As for Lewis Appliance Service, I guess I should have run away after calling to setup the appointment and they needed to turn down the volume on the T.V.... read more
