A great way to wait for lunch

Sampled wines while on vacation. Loved the experience and the service. Charming little place.

    Ten...a Merlot. Yum!

I love Lewis Station Winery. They just celebrated 10 years with a great limited edition wine called "Ten" which is yummy!

    That's a generous pour!

Excellent little winery! Husband and I stopped in for a tasting and it was great! 3 free tastings each followed by a glass (a very generous glass I might add) of Cab for us both. Man behind the counter was very friendly and they have a cute assortment of decor and gifts. (I really liked the shirt that said, "If found please return to the nearest winery" but it wasn't in my size! #firstworldproblems)

    Dog friendly patio!

This was the perfect spot for me (coming from Milwaukee) to meet up with a friend coming from Madison. We parked by the park across the street, which is cute and clean, but small. We walked the dog first to eliminate some energy and then sat in a lovely corner patio table nicely shaded by an umbrella. They have $10 wine flights composed of any 4 of their wines at 2 oz each. Their wines are varied and I enjoyed the dry rose, pinot noir, cab sav aged in barrels, and sweet red. They were all good! The Lewis salad for lunch was fresh and flavorful. After tax and tip, this great meal & experience came to $30. We are bookmarking this spot for future drives along 94!

What a great winery! Cute little spot in Lake Mills with a very friendly bartender and delicious wine. We did a tasting flight and ended up buying a bottle of the Sangiovese. Highly recommend.

OMG!!! AWESOME!!! Do not pass this place up. words can not describe the flavors of the food !!! And the wine's all distinctly different. Not just fruity juice. Actually quality wines worth tasting! Absolutely worthwhile. Yes yummy yummy in our tummy taste buds are in heaven. We will be back!

the wine labels are in the process of being changed from the old gas station theme. But I think this was one cool feature.

This place has so much potential but I have to agree with the other reviews regarding the customer service. It is not welcoming in the least. The counter where you do the tasting was all cluttered and the woman behind the counter was so busy conducting some type of business on the phone on and off that she was barely able to give us our sampling. There was no information given on the wine at all. I did ask if all the grapes were local to find out that they do purchase some grapes from Lodi Ca. I seriously do not think they will be in business long if she continues to treat people like she would like to just tell them to get the f-out. It was weird. They do have an entire side that looks like it is set up to do olive oil tasting and possible demonstrations. There was nobody over there to talk to so nothing was purchased or looked at over on that side either. Just strange. Who and Why put this business here and invested money to make the building cute but just letting it flounder due to lack of service? They must have more money then sense.

Excellent lunches for the price! The wines were all unique and tasting prices were beyond reasonable. The outdoor patio is a nice touch too.

I love wine and want my husband to love it too! After my last review, I emailed Total Wine as requested by their Yelp page which you'll see. They even called me back, but I missed the call. The voicemail was nice. Let's be honest though,I wasn't about to call them back. They heard my concerns. No need for me repeat said concerns. I mean if they were offering a free class or gift card this would have been me "Yes, I'm returning a call..." LOL! Friends, y'all get it! This time around, my experience was amazing! 1. Stone was knowledgeable and answered several questions. 2. Were there watermarks on the glasses? NOPE! 3. The pours were more sanitary too! Brenden hovered above the glass (no more accidental contact!). 4. The class wasn't overly packed! Likely because it was a weekday. Either way, I'll take it! I know they'll still pack the classes because...let's keep it a buck they're a business. I'll lean towards weekday classes or come as a party of four. I love when companies actually listen and make changes. That type of action Makes me feel all smiley and stuff! Wait, friends....maybe that's just the wine. Total Wine, we'll be back for more sniffs, swirls, sips, and knowledgeable instructorsp! Thank you!!

The pre-order and parking lot pick-up option is a great time saver. This is especially important, because this is the area where Total Wine struggles - there are never, ever enough people working the registers and the lines to check out almost always suck. If they could be a little more mindful of that up front, they'd be a five star store.

In…read morethe past, my experiences with the employees were also pretty darn charming, or at least satisfactorily neutral. The last time I was in the store, however, I was made to feel chastised and unwelcome, and while I recognize that this is a very personal response to an impersonal slap down, it left me feeling so stung that I doubt I'll return. What happened was this: I needed a new pair of reading glasses, and I'd gotten the most adorable Peepers from this store in the past. It was 5:50pm, and I saw on their door sign that they closed at 6pm. Great! I thought. I'll pop in and grab a pair. Immediately upon entering, one employee said, "You know we close in ten minutes." "Got it! I'll be quick!" I replied. I went to the rack of glasses, considered a few pairs, and checked the fit in the little mirror on the rack. In that little mirror, I could see the employee behind me, who was frowning and rolling her eyes in exasperation, mouthing to her fellow employees on the other side of the room that , "No, not yet, she's still here." Yikes, I thought, checking my watch. It was 5:55pm, so I chose a pair and went to the register. One last thing--I wanted to get an e-cloth, a product a different employee had recommended to me the last time I was there. I mentioned this to the employee as she grouchily said, "Will that be all?" She huffed, "Well, the e-cloths are in a different part of the store." She strode off, and I said, "Any one will do!" She said, "No, just come pick the one you want." She proceeded to lead me to a section of wash cloths and sink cleaning scrubby brushes? When I explained that no, I was looking for a microfiber cloth to clean the lenses of the glasses with, and that they used to be stocked at the register, she huffed again and said, "Well, they're not anymore, are they? Also, we're just about to close...?" I bought the glasses, walked out the door, and checked my watch. 5:59pm. But golly, those nine minutes I spent in their store, encroaching on what I assume was their rush to be done and escape their pesky customers, left a bad taste in my mouth that nine days later still hasn't left. Which is a bummer. As I said, I really liked that store. Problem is, the cutest merchandise in the world can't make up for poor customer service.
