This is a big place and while it's a little busy in the front area near the counters, there is a back room that I pretty much had to myself for some Zoom calls and Yelp reviews. Someone more discerning will have to judge the quote from Forbes as being one of the top 10 coffee roasters in the US, but it was a pretty good latte! The staff was friendly even though just before closing time at 5PM. The were cleaning up but still allow me to use the restroom. The building is over 100 years old with old wooden floors and a warm ambience. The coffee shop is somewhat of an institution in Lexington having been in this location downtown for over 25 years! Definitely worth checking out- and leave the help a big tip if you can. read more

They have more options than they let on, and the abundance of baked goods was impressive! I have to say though, I would've liked to see some gluten free options as far as food goes. However I've stopped in three times, on three separate weekends, and each time the two employees behind the counter have had major attitude. The service was terrible. The lady cashier was extremely rude. When I asked for an extra shot and they got upset about it. The espresso is not fresh, it comes from a container. It is also extremely expensive for espresso that comes from a container. I don't recommend. read more

I come here pretty often when I'm in Lexington. There are always a decent amount of people in the front part of the coffee shop in the morning. For example, a few older gentlemen discussing international politics around a small table lol! There is actually more places to sit than expected, as there are tables in the back near the bathroom. There's a good selection of both teas and coffees. I like the Russian Caravan tea here! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. There aren't a lot of outlets, so if you're trying to do work try to snag one of the small tables near one in the front of the coffee shop. Also it can be a little hot in the summer, as there is no AC there. It's a nice, friendly coffee shop that attracts a lot of downtown goers, including college students, families, and people visit from out of town! Would recommend stopping by! read more

Yelp App said they were open and unfortunately when we got there they were closed and had a sign in the door saying closed till the 7th July, so we went to the gelato place instead. Stopped by for a pick-me-up on a hot day. They don't appear to have air conditioning. The shop is in an old house in their cute downtown. They have all the espresso beverages you'd want. We got iced Americanos and they were good. Prompt and kind service and a bunch of tables to sit with your party. There were people working, socializing, etc. They serve everything in real mugs and if you're a local you can leave a mug there to come back to - kinda cool. read more

We found this cute little shop opened. Mind you most of the restaurants in this area are closed on Sundays. I got a butterscotch iced latte - AND OMG it was amazing. It was perfect. Well, that was one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever come across in my travels. First off, espresso was incredible. Locally roasted, not too bitter, and served at an ideal temperature. The shop was quaint with a southern charm that is accentuated with a banging screen door. The tables are small and cozy. There's a fireplace, though I don't think it works. And they have a mug club! Bring your own and never it there for a small discount. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Oh, and I enjoyed the display of antique grinders in the window. I want one! read more

perfect little shop! the regular self serve drip coffee is fantastic & EVERY baked treat was quite delish! i picked up several & cut each one into fourths to create a sampler for me & three others. we had: banana nut bread, marbled poundcake, blueberry muffin, double choco muffin, cinnamon coffee cake muffin, choco chip blondie, cherry danish & almond danish. the staff & service was quick & very helpful. it was all quite affordable & had great ambiance! i came back the next day for more coffee & tried the lemon poppyseed muffin & cranberry muffin. We stopped in to this shop for a late afternoon cup of coffee recently. It was about 40 minutes before closing and there were two employees working. The male employee, who was clearly in training, was doing his best. The female employee was grumpy, short-tempered, and not doing a good job of training him or serving customers. The urn of coffee ran out after about one-third of a cup. The employee began brewing a new one, and eventually it was ready. I was left to serve myself and she did not offer to give me a fresh cup with fresh flavor syrup. Speaking of the syrup, they were out of so many that she told us not to bother looking at the menu board. Instead, she'd tell us what ones they had. This was our second visit. It's a dis-organized, low energy shop where the main thing you hear are the baristas complaining about their lives. Sometimes the wait is in-ordinately long for a prepared drink and I'm often charged different amounts for the same drink depending on who rings it up. The drink recipes aren't well done so you have to customize a lot - for example, a 16oz americano comes with one shot of espresso + 14oz of water, which is weak and bland for most people. read more

What a cool little coffee spot right along downtown and among some of the other quaint shops. They have different beans obviously that you can buy as well as they offer pour over, iced and other variations of coffee to enjoy right there on the spot. Additionally there is a little cheese and olive oil vendor that shares the space so you can also take a look at what they have to offer while you are there. read more
