It's taken me a little too long for me to get around writing this review, but I think it's important for me to revive my Yelp account to do so. I am a huge fan of LexRx since they came to my neighborhood. Though I am on the younger side for injectables, my mother was an early adopter of Botox back in the day and would drive down to Boston from Maine to get it done so I was relatively familiar with the use of neurotoxins for aesthetic purposes even before ever getting it done. I used to get my Botox done at another practice, and while they were fine, I was blown away by LexRx from my first visit. I originally made my first appointment online. Their website is easy to use, however, I had a last minute emergency come up and had to cancel my appointment. They were nothing but understanding and were very prompt with communicating with me. As someone who provides high-end customer service at my job all day, I was very pleased with their easy booking process and thorough communication once I was able to make an appointment to get Botox in my forehead. I love how Alexa and Alex speak my aesthetic language, which is my favorite part of what they do at LexRx. Instead of having to figure out where to put how many units in each part of my face, they have pictures on their website to show the look you're trying to achieve and then they are able to direct the conversation from there. Their approach is conservative, but they are particularly adroit at teasing out exactly the look you want. Deep down inside I'm a drag queen that loves it when people have striking or very "done" looks, but for my own face I tend to keep it very natural. Still, I tend to like things a bit on the "icier" side of natural when it comes to Botox, and Alexa was able to execute that FLAWLESSLY. That being said, if she hadn't, they have free follow-up appointments to make sure everything came out the way you wanted it. Because I had such a good experience with their Botox, I decided to get my lips done at LexRx too! This one scared me a lot because while I love a free-for-all with the Botox, I have a strong aversion to "duck lips" and was terrified that would happen to me if I got mine done. I had no reason to fear though - Alexa knew exactly what I wanted and took the time to talk me through all of my options in a way I could understand. I came out still looking like me but better. If you're curious about injectables or a veteran pincushion like myself, don't hesitate to check out their website or call. I could wax poetic about how well they do with my injectables, but I think that this story illustrates just how good they are better than I ever could: I wait tables at a high-end place, and as a result I can get some challenging guests. I had a woman that had a dispute over a gift card and she did not like what I had to tell her. "I'm not going to take this from a TWENTY-TWO YEAR OLD," she spat out at her friend. I looked her in the eye and said, "Ma'am, I'm thirty-two." The pure rage and jealously in her eyes warms my cold, dead heart to this day and I have LexRx to thank for that. I don't typically write reviews for personal services especially injectables/non surgical aesthetic procedures, however LexRx deserves allll the stars. I had never gotten any sort of injections but had been thinking about it for a long time, not necessarily due to insecurity or "problem areas" but more so just for fun! Who wouldn't want more plump lips or preventative and/or corrective Botox!? I always saw LexRx when driving by (right next to the cutest high-end consignment store in Boston, Covet) and loved the LexRx branding ~ 'Lips + Lines + Lashes' ~ Although the branding, overall aesthetic, and social media presence initially sold me on booking a "PuckerUp" appointment, my experience with Alex surpassed my expectations. Upon arriving I first noticed how clean and beautiful the space was (Southie location). Alex introduced herself during our 1 on 1 appointment, and I told her what I was looking for--a natural look to accentuate my lips. After numbing and before photos, I felt so comfortable and calm (only thing better would've been a glass of bubbly in my hand ) the numbing cream completely removed any sort of pain that some might be concerned about during an injection session. After the Juvéderm Volbella filler was used, Alex gave me the handheld mirror to show the big reveal and WOW. I literally couldn't have been happier. She really listened to me and gave me exactly the look I was going for, subtle, juicy, perfect lippies! I cannot wait for my next PuckerUp appointment so I can go for a bit of a more dramatic look! I'm also really looking forward to some preventative Botox (I'm 22) in the near future! I feel like there are so many options as far as procedures/products, perfect for everyone. I'm so pleased with my experience so far at LexRx! I have worked with Alexa exclusively, and I highly recommend her for her professionalism, knowledge, and conservative approach. Plus, since she has all those essential qualities I just mentioned, I love the added bonus of how positive and sweet she is. I went in wanting one area of Botox done, the "elevens" (between my brows) that are especially pronounced at age 30. Obviously I let her know in advance that this was my first time and that I hadn't 100% decided that I wanted Botox, and she figuratively held my hand the whole way. She explained every detail, answered every question, and never did I feel any pressure to move forward with the injections. Essentially, she allowed me to feel comfortable and confident in my decision to move forward. It was easy to follow Alexa's advice for starting very subtle/conservative because LexRx includes a touch-up visit in their price (i.e. they are charging per area, not per amount of Botox used). I haven't had to do a touch-up at all; she nailed it on the first go. [UPDATE 8/31/17: I did end up making a follow up appointment after a recent botox injection because I thought we might be able to do better. We DID do better. SO happy with the results.] Alexa has never suggested extra services or pointed out other imperfections; I didn't know what to expect in that regard, and I'm glad I happened to find a company that would never pressure a client in that way. Honestly, I don't know and don't care where their prices fall in the spectrum of cost of Botox in the Boston area. One of the reasons I chose them in the first place was their transparency in pricing, and the prices seem reasonable. Their service has been wonderful and worth every penny, and I recommend you check out LexRx if you're thinking about Botox or other services they offer. I've been getting Botox and fillers for years and I've been to at least a handful, if not more, of the "best" medspas and dermatologists in the Boston area and I can tell you hands down that LexRx outshines all of them by a landslide. I originally called LexRx about 6 months ago when I was searching for someone who could fix my uneven eyebrows after getting Botox somewhere else. I was initially embarrassed to call and ask if they could fix someone else's subpar work, but Alexa was so incredibly sweet on the phone and offered to squeeze me in that very same day! I went to see her that afternoon and I truly couldn't be happier with my experience. The clinic is beautiful and clean, the NPs are so kind and friendly, and Alexa made me feel right at home. Not only did she (perfectly) fix my uneven eyebrows, she educated me on various neurotoxins that may be a better fit for me that I had never heard of / was never offered at any other medspas/dermatologist offices (which shows how ahead of the game and up to date LexRx is with their knowledge of the industry, training and techniques). As soon as my Botox from elsewhere wore off, I went back to Alexa to treat my forehead / between brow lines. We decided to try Jeuveau, a newer neurotoxin, (instead of Botox/Dysport) as she informed me that it may last longer (which was my biggest issue with Botox and Dysport, it wore off too quickly) and she was SO right! It has been months and my forehead still looks super smooth, which surely wouldn't be the case if I had gotten Botox or Dysport, and had I not visited Alexa, I wouldn't even know that Jeuveau was an option. I also love the fact that 2 touch ups are included which is a huge perk that isn't offered anywhere else I've been. I went to Alex for one of my two touch ups and she was absolutely amazing as well. Lastly, their website is fabulous and you can book appointments online! All in all, I'm so so happy with LexRx on all fronts - the incredibly educated and skilled NPs, the beautiful offices, and most importantly, how my face looks! If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Prior to booking my appointment with LexRx, I had been so hesitant about lip fillers/injections. In 2017, I had a terrible experience in South Florida where at a young age I trusted someone I shouldn't have, resulting in having to go through a painful process of having them then dissolved. It took me up until 2021, to consider having them filled again. Many of my girlfriends had raved about LexRx and there experience with Alex. I decided to book an appointment in South Boston. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very sweet girl at the desk, I sat nervously as Alex was seeing another client and I was early. Meeting Alex, she gained my confidence and trust right away. She asked so many questions and allowed me to do so as well. She told me what she thought would be best for me, my lips and facial structure and then went over the procedure. This experience was night and day to what I had done in South Florida, Alex took her time and was beyond precise, the woman is a perfectionist. She would tell me what she was doing as she injected, and would step back and look. When she finished she handed me the mirror and I was in awe, my lips were perfectly symmetrical and proportionate to my face. I did not have massive black and blue pillows as I did my first uneducated experience in Florida. I just kept saying "I'm speechless!" For someone who bruises like a peach, I had little to no bruising. They healed perfectly and I am so happy that I chose to go to LexRx and book with Alex. BIG fan of this med spa for good reason, after having visited many others across the country. The space is beautiful and clean, and the staff is professional, experienced, and friendly. They thoughtfully, painlessly, and appropriately place the perfect amount of Botox to avoid the common pitfalls that less astute injectors make, which allows them to achieve the best, lasting results. Uniquely, their staff is not interested in selling you any filler you are willing to buy, but rather, they make expert recommendations about what you may or may NOT need, to achieve the right look for your face, rather than prioritizing their revenue. Not many med spa's have the same, very responsible, approach... Lastly, their product line. WOW. I'm impressed. I've tried all top-of-the-line brands, and not only am I picky, but my skin is very sensitive and often rejects new products. I love all of their products I've tried, which I did not necessarily expect because I strike out so often. They surpassed my high expectations and they rival any of the other high-end brands (Revision, SkinMedica, Obaji, etc.) you are accustomed to seeing at med spas for Vitamin C, Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Brightening Creams, Tinted SPF moisturizer, etc. I even ditched the face wash brand I've been using the last 15 years after using their cleanser. I highly recommend dermaplaning with a chemical peel to get the bright, glowy look, and walk out feeling 8 years younger. read more

If I could give LexRx more than 5 stars I would, and I don't typically say that about many businesses or beauty services. I am young and was very doubtful of getting any type of injections at all, but if I was going to start doing them I wanted to get them done WELL. LexRx was the top recommendation I heard from everyone around Boston and online. When you are getting any type of injections, you want to get the real deal and make sure your dollars are well spent since it's an investment to begin with. Alex is THE BEST and made me feel so comfortable from the very beginning. Every question I threw at her she took the time to explain and made sure that I wanted to proceed/educated me on after-care, future maintenance, etc. I AM OBSESSED! So subtle to everyone else but makes all the difference in photos, my self confidence, etc. I had the Pucker Up lip injections done as well as a few round of Fresh Faced for preventative measures against future wrinkles. After so many reservations, I took my friend's advice and talked to Alexa about Botox for some early signs of aging that were starting to effect my self esteem. She instantly put me at ease with her knowledge and listening skills. Now that Lex Rx is in their new spot on Charles St, treatments are more convenient then ever (I went on my 30 minute lunch break and no one was the wiser!). I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for some extra confidence and beautification. Doesn't hurt that these ladies are totally badass and welcoming either. Highly recommend LexRX!!! Alexa and Alex are so sweet and welcoming! I used to be SO afraid of needles but they make you so comfortable and at ease. They have stress balls, ice packs, water, chocolate, comfy chairs, anything you need to keep you relaxed! I'm so much more relaxed during the treatments now and the needles hardly phase me anymore. I cannot say enough about my experience with Alexa. I had received Botox at another facility which left me with medial brow droopiness and a Spock eyebrow on the left side. Alexa offered to squeeze me in after it hit the 10 day mark to look at my face and see if anything could be done correctively. She was so sweet and patient. And took a lot of time to watch me making various faces to really understand how the muscles fire for my particular face. She did a few corrective injections. And needless to say, the drooping started to lift a bit in the middle, and the Spock eyebrow is completely corrected. Alexa is very good at what she does and understands the facial anatomy. I have been going to LexRx for the past couple of years and am thrilled with the results. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Every injector has been great and extremely knowledgeable. While you pay more up front, that includes touch ups which I find makes the price worth it. The spot is so cute, easy to get to with public transit and everyone is so sweet. Sometimes these types of places can feel snobby and aloof but I am always greeted with smiles and hugs.
