Warm delicious shawarma wraps, delicious and smooth hummus, and great prices has made Leyla's a go to on our weekly take out rotation. My usual is the gyro wrap with a side of falafel. My partner often gets a specialty shawarma plate that comes with their delicious hummus (of which I steal a lot of) and some pita. We branched out to another Mediterranean place in the area and quickly came back to Leyla's because their taste and prices could not be beat! There has only been one time when we ordered a beef/lamb shish kebab plate that was very dry that disappointed us, otherwise Leyla's has been pretty consistent in quality. I've been going here steadily more often over the last 2 years. Much of the food is good, but the Special is really spectacular. It has just about everything in it: meat, rice, a dozen different veggies, and like 3 different sauces on the various sections of the meal. It's a giant plate of food but it also has a ton of variety in it so you're never really bored or just eating the same thing over and over. Try it out if you get the chance! Came for lunch and got to say very impressed I got the gyro and chicken rice plate with extra meat. Flavor was really good, rice was perfect, meat wasn't dry at all. Way better than a different spot near my home. I got a piece of pita and it was nice and soft wasn't tough and dry. The hummus was really delicious also. It wasn't busy but they did have sit down service inside, I ordered to go. Only real drawback is I didn't get any spicy sauce I only got the white sauce no red. Leyla's is the only place for mediterranean food. I get lunch from here regularly, and I even had them cater my company holiday party this year. We have a wide mix of dietary needs.... halal, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan. Leyla's had delicious dishes to cover every person at the party, and the food was a HUGE hit! These lovely people are clearly putting soul into their food, and they have a bunch of new customers after that holiday party. We really like this place. They have a daily lunch special for $7.77 which is a gyro, fries and drink. Gyro is really what you'd expect of a gyro. Fries are fantastic. Wife normally gets a speciality plate over rice. It's normally really good but today the pita was pretty gross. Seemed a bit flat and stale. However last few times this wasn't an issue. I had heard from multiple people who live in Lago Vista that this place was delicious, and after months of wanting to, I finally stopped today and had lunch. had a gyro, grape leaves and some kibbeh. The Gyro meat was exquisite! Not extremely seasoned and with the perfect texture. The pita bread was soft. The grape leaves were perfectly rolled and flavorful and the kibbeh was cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. Everyone in the restaurant was super friendly, too! Super recommend!! read more

Excellent Greek food in Cedar Park! The portions of food are perfect, and the pricing is extremely reasonable. Their garlic sauce and taziki sauce are delicious! Was In the area yesterday , checked yelp, came across leylas, it was nearby with good reviews, so decided to try it. It was around 7:45 ish, there were few people and they had few to go orders, and couple of them in front of us, it took 10-15 mins to place order. you place order and pay at the counter and they give you the number card stand and call out when it's ready, you go and get it. We ordered chicken philly wrap with fries as a side, sides are extra it doesn't come with wrap, chicken shish kebab plate, it was $19 before tips. Place was ok clean, we got our food in 15+mins. My husband liked his wrap, but felt it wasn't filling, fries were good but not evenly salted, few were like way too salty, odd thing was they dint serve any sauce with his wrap and fries, while we were standing to place our order, I noticed they were packing like 2-3 different sauces for to go orders. Chicken shish kebab plates come with a layer of rice below kebab, pita bread and two sides, I opted for egg plant dip and humus, both the dips were ok nothing special, kebab was good, rice was flavored with spices and you can easily say it's been sitting in the kitchen for few hours. Pita bread was more like tortilla/roti, it was thin and bit bigger, usually pita bread will be small and bit thicker, and it was bit chewy than soft, sort of elastic texture, I doubt if they were making it fresh or warming up the pre made ones, it came with a sauce, which was not good. If you're a good eater or super hungry, I don't think quantity of food is enough, it was enough for me but wasn't for my husband. My husband went to check/get for other sauce, but again you have to stand in the line where you stand to place order, so after 5mins I called him to come back, then after few mins a person came and was checking with everyone about the food, I asked him for any creamy sauce and he told they have creamy jalapeño, so my husband went and got it, that was good. And I had asked to add a falafel(1) to my plate, I realized after I was half way done with my plate that they haven't, then again I don't wanted to go and stand in the counter to ask for it, so I let it go. Overall it was ok, if you're in the area, you can give it a try. but nothing special! read more

A good option for Med food if you're in this area. Brought some friends and we shared everything from baklava to hummus, all of which was very good. We had a plate of chicken shawarma, beef n lamb shawarma, a beef kabob plate, and a combo kabob plate. All the plates came with 2 sides, I got hummus and tabbouleh. Our friend got extra hummus and baba ganoush (pureed eggplant). All plates came with pita bread. My husband and I decided to stop by here after my doctors appointment and because we were tired of the same ole boring food that you can get anywhere. As we walked in we were nicely greeted by the owners and their family, the eatery was well taken care of and most importantly clean. We ordered four things from the menu; gyro plate, gyro wrap, chicken Philly wrap, and the Italian shawarma. When I saw the sign that Leyla's Mediterranean was coming soon, I was beyond excited. I couldn't wait to check online as to when soon might be. Patiently I waited a week after they opened to come in. I ordered a Kafta wrap and a small salad. Very reasonably priced. I took my food and headed home to eat. I opened the small salad container first and dug in with my fork. Now this could be my fault but all I could taste was raw green peppers. I don't like raw green peppers. I don't recall green peppers being listed in the salad. Pulling out as many as I could, it still tasted like peppers. No problem, onto the kafta wrap. I am used to Kaftas being a middle eastern spiced ground beef shaped like a hot dog, long and thick. After a few bites I could taste the lettuce, bread, and the garlic sauce but the beef was elusive. Opening it up and looking, the beef was very thin. I finished the wrap because the sauce, lettuce and bread were fresh and good. But I was still asking, where's the beef. Still the rave reviews kept coming in how flavorful everything was. I decided to give them another chance. Back I went, this time trying the Chicken plate, which comes with rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. Also added an order of stuffed grape leaves and a falafel. Headed home and opened the box. The grape leaves were good and so was the falafel. That's when I realized it comes with the salad I didn't like. So I removed all the peppers and it was okay. The hummus was good. Onto the main entrée, the chicken was mostly minced on top of the rice. When I took a bite, I couldn't distinguish between the rice and chicken. The worst part was the flavor was the same bland. I ate half the chicken and a quarter of the rice and nothing. Now if I'm in the mood for grape leaves or hummus I will come here, otherwise it's not for me. read more

Overall it was just okay. The layout is still the same as it was when Big Cat was at the location, which makes it awkward to order as the menu is 10ft away at an angle from where you order, and basically is impossible to read. There seemed to be a lot of confusion between the guys cooking. I got my order to go and I saw them arguing about what actually came on my Shawarma Arabi wrap. Turns out they didn't even put the fries inside, so it's just dry chicken, pickles, and sauce. I'd much rather drive another 10 minutes to go to Levant Cafe, or even to the Arboretum for The Kebab Shop instead of eating here again. read more

I think flattening it kind of made it dry (and I think it was cooked on a flat top, was definitely missing that char grilled flavor), but the overall flavor was good. Hummus was actually good, not grainy. Ordered a few falafel on the side and you can skip those, they're pretty dry and bland. Sauces that came with our takeout order were: toum, tzatziki, and tahini - they were all good. Portions are super generous. Can't speak on service because it was a takeout order. For full disclosure, the owner lives in my neighborhood and he's a great guy. I started eating at Leyla's before I knew him though and became a fan back then. I figure that a place I eat at several times a month probably deserves a review from me. My favorite dish is the specialty over rice which I typically get with zucchini and falafel. I usually always get the fried pickles as well on the weekends ;) I eat a plant-based diet so I'm only familiar with the plant-based options so take that for what it is worth. I like the big variety of options for my particular diet. The food has great flavor, the rice is always on point as is the falafel. They stock Topo Chico which is a plus and the food is very consistent in terms of flavor and preparation which I appreciate. I've never had a bad meal or anything off with the food and if I did, the owner would definitely hear it from me personally. I think he's the kind of guy that would work to make things right if you had a bad experience. I typically go in to eat or carry out, it's roughly 50/50. This is one of those places that you get cravings for and it's become a staple of our "go to" places. read more

As well, picture did not suggest the amount of sauce that would be poured over my food. We've ordered takeout from here twice and have been happy both times. I love their chicken and gyro plate. The meat is seasoned well and tender. The rice, hummus, salad and pita bread is a nice compliment to the meat and it's a large portion, enough for 2 meals actually. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the last time we ordered, we had to wait a long time before the food was ready. It gave us a timeframe of when the food would be ready but still had to wait about 20-30 min beyond the time. My husband said that he saw the worker but the food aside even though he knew my husband was waiting for the order. He may've forgotten that it was sitting there but we only got the food bc my husband asked if it was our order. I hope this was a fluke because the food is delicious and would like to order from them again but customer service is just as important to me as is the quality and flavor of the food. read more
