Came here twice now and it's been great both times. You can order either with the staff or on your phone--if it's via the phone, someone will still come by and confirm your order. I've had the rice noodles, the paper wrapped fish, and the drinks. The rice noodles have been decent both times--soup is flavorful and there is a good portion of noodles. The shrimp soup dumplings were good--would order again. What stood out more was the paper wrapped fish--I never had anything like it before and was surprised by the chosen combination of ingredients--french fries, potato noodles, chiba tofu (stringy noodle shaped), but it was good. I chose the tomato flavor, which was good--I would definitely be interested in trying the other flavors as well. Also chose add-on sides with lotus root and cauliflower (both were good but highly recommend the cauliflower since it had a roasted taste to it that added more to the dish). It was such a large portion and came with rice, that we definitely had to bring back leftovers. The drinks are consistently good. So far, I've had the tofu pudding milk tea (G28) and the oatmeal taro milk tea (G40, oatmeal similar to overnight oats texture, and taro tastes fresh), and I would definitely get both again. We had a great time with the family trying this place for the first time! We like to watch a lot of food blogs and this place hit the spot after watching K Foodie Meets J Foodie haha. Went in on a Friday evening and really enjoyed our visit. It was fairly busy but we were seated right away. The staff is able to take your order or you can order using the QR codes on the tables. If you use the QR code, they will come confirm your order too which is nice. We ordered the cucumbers, shrimp wontons, pork soup dumplings, lamb kebab and their popular crossing the bridge noodle soup. And it was all so good! My favorites were the soup dumplings and the noodle soup. We did the spicy broth version and the broth was so delicious. They give you the meat, noodles and some side dishes separately to cook in the boiling broth at the table, sort of like a mini hotpot experience. This is a very large restaurant so there are lots of seating available. I ordered the R4 (beef brisket with white rice - $13,99), the E2 (deep fried mini buns - $3.99), and a cauliflower side which isn't labeled with a letter on the menu - $4.99. The beef was fine but it needed more flavour. The scallop dish was just okay. It had a garlic chili sauce over it that I wasn't a huge fan of. This snow weather calls for hot flavorful soup, so the husband and I found ourselves driving to one of our favorite haunts - YY Time. And they do not disappoint for a weekend I was sceptical of wait times, but we got lucky - not too crowded and got tables in a couple of minutes! He ordered A5 and I ordered A6 and for appetizers we ordered crispy salty chicken. To say everything was amazing is an understatement! The pork chops in my soup were crispy and brought on the side, the soup was scalding hot, the noodles were slippery and had the perfect bite to it! The husband loved Sichuan hints in his soup. The salty crispy chicken was perfect and when asked the waiter got us some hot oil on the side as well and was even gracious to give us seconds. I finally made it out to YYTime in Cleveland's AsiaTown, and I've got to say--it completely exceeded my expectations. I initially visited for a networking mixer but after seeing the aesthetic stayed for solo dinner. This is a swanky Chinese restaurant serving Asian street food. It has very authentic vibes making you feel like you've transported somewhere new. The place has this cool, modern vibe but still feels warm and welcoming. It's built in what used to be an old tire shop, but you'd never guess that from how sleek and thoughtfully designed the space is now. Gosh, even the bathroom is refined. It's definitely a spot where you can hang out for a while, not just grab food and go. You really melt into the atmosphere. Most tables were filled with couples and families. The evening light perfectly illuminated the dining room, and there was ample space to enjoy dinner. It's a perfect place to eat dinner solo, bring friends or have a date night. The menu? Mile long with everything from appetizers to fresh fruit teas and milk teas. I was honestly a little overwhelmed at first, but in a good way. I would highly recommend researching your options ahead of time. The menu is available in physical and QR form, ordering is supported right from your mobile device from your table. Checkout is super modern, waiters have iPad-looking devices with them. No need to wait for a check, just checkout on their handheld devices. I ended up ordering oolong black hot tea to start which arrived in a very fancy to go mug. I then got inspired by the table nearby and ordered Extreme BBQ (with lamb, pork belly, and chicken). I also added rice cake from the grilled vegetable section. The waiter explained to me that you can build your own BBQ journey and add whatever you want. The order arrived on a cool authentic box. Each order of the skewer came with three skewers. The skewers were delicious but very spicy (even when I ordered mild). I also ordered an appetizer - deep fried mini buns with condensed milk. They were served with a side of cabbage. They were probably the best buns I ate locally, cooked to perfection. The value was really good. I got all of the above listed for $40 something. I took most of the food home because it was really overwhelming. The portions were generous. The soups that surrounding tables ordered looked huge. The service was pretty quick and cordial. I would have loved more explanation about the menu and various options. I felt like I was navigating the menu all by myself and my questions weren't very well received. Other aspects of service were very warm with greetings and check-ins on the experience. Very top notch hospitality. The establishment has small attached parking lot and street parking. If you've parked on the street, check out all the local street art. YYTime is definitely somewhere I'll go back to, whether it's for a quick bite or to hang out with friends. It was a little saltier than what I remember getting at Dagu, but it also had a bit more of a kick. The rice noodles were good, but they were sometimes difficult to pick up with chopsticks because they disintegrated easily. Fried chicken was still great as ever. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, & well-seasoned. And the latte was also great. Has plenty of matcha flavor while being sweet & creamy. Service was friendly. I am a huge Dagu fan but this is a fun revamp and addition to the original! Their Chinese BBQ is definitely the draw for me. I did love the drinks at Dagu but they downsized on their sizes but upped the prices so not a fan of that... Decor, ambiance were wonderful! There is even a parking lot in the back and front (only like 3 spots though). The pieces and lighting actually reminded me a bit of Lao Sichuan in Pinecrest! Service was warm, friendly but inconsistently quick and slow. I don't like the QR code for payment and menu and appreciated when a server came because our phones had really bad reception the first time we came. The food really is so good and the selection is wide and fun to choose from! The 3rd time I came the beef skewers I ordered were tiny, overdone and kind of not worth it. BUT I will have to say that the lamb skewers here are the best I've gotten anywhere, including Xi'an! The squid was too overcooked but the eggplant was bomb. They keep not having the clam in sake in stock (I've asked for this 3x) so hopefully they will get that! New and improved Dagu Rice Noodle, with friends. The original restaurant menu has combined menus with an even more expanded bubble milk tea selection, buns and dumplings, and street food options in a newly renovated setting. There's a few parking spaces out front, as well as a parking lot behind the store that is attached to the posterior entrance. The new waiting room and dining area are modern industrial, and while not necessarily completely imported from China like Lao Sze Chuan, definitely exude Chinese influence and taste. The high ceilings and center column with teapots make for a tasteful entryway for people waiting, which filled up to capacity around noon on a Saturday. We went early and got a seat right away, but there's a tablet to put your name down if the dining room is full. The tables are mostly built for parties of 4, with a few larger booths along the walls. One design flaw we did find was the table layout in the center - our table was awkwardly small, with arms of the seats literally rubbing against each other so that the seat had to be pushed out all the way to extract myself from the table. Perhaps opting for different seats in these tables would fix this. Service was prompt and busy, even as the restaurant quickly filled during the first weekend shift since opening. We were offered either hot or cold water as soon as we were seated. Multiple waiters came by to check on us with iPads where they input our orders, and intermittently throughout our meal. There's quite a variety of food to choose from with the expanded menu, but we were a little disappointed that the buns and dumplings weren't being made when we went. Even so, we thoroughly enjoyed our food, especially the Grilled Scallops w/ Vermicelli, and Barbeque Pork Belly. The Taro Milk Tea was a little disappointing and artificial tasting, but the Strawberry Pomelo drink was refreshing. A note for spice lovers - we chose medium spicy and still found everything pretty mild, and would probably go with even more spice for more heat. There are separate male and female bathrooms. The women's was spotless, with nice tiling and a smart mirror that changes lighting settings in case you... want to take a bathroom selfie? The prices are a little on the higher end compared to other casual Chinese restaurants, but I'll certainly be back to try the many other offerings here. read more

On the way to another restaurant, saw this place and said "what the heck". Dropped on in and due to its interior design, cleanliness and soup concept, we stayed and proceeded to order. Observing the others eat, each person basically got their own large individual "pot" of soup with their choice of broth, meat, vegetables and other add ons. Think of it as customized soup. We opted for the beef rib broth noodles. I wanted to customize the noodles however I was informed that they only have that type which were rice noodles. The noodles were like a thinner udon noodles and were perfectly made. Added an appetizer of spicy sliced beef tendons as well. Whatever it is, it works! They have a pretty extensive menu - from skewered BBQ meats and seafood (my favorite is the pork belly), to bao buns (which the kids love), your standard meat and rice dishes, and my meal of choice: the noodle soups. They come in these heated stone (I think) bowls that keep the soup hot instead of cooling down as you eat. Their boba/tea game is on point! Lots of options there, too!!! Service is efficient. You can either order from your table yourself using your phone, or servers can take your order for you. Same with paying when you're done. Food usually comes quickly.
