Came in for their Sunday brunch buffet and it was honestly really great for what it was. Affordable and decent options to satisfy our cravings

We finally stopped in to the Irish restaurant Brian Boru located off of Richie Highway. Tucked behind a few trees you could easily miss it, but we're glad we found it. We wanted fish and chips for dinner and we can easily say that it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and checked in with us multiple times ensuring that we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and cozy inside. There were several rooms to be seated in making for a comfortable evening. My wife had an Irish coffee after dinner and in her words they did not skimp on the whiskey! The menu had many other dishes that sounded good so we plan to be back.

After coming here for 10+ years, I do not think I will be returning. Service was slow, all the ingredients felt cheaper and poorly prepared, and I'm personally not a fan of being charged an exorbitant additional credit card processing fee on top of that. The food is not what it once was, hoping they can turn things around but cutting costs on ingredients tends to be the sign of downturn for Severna park restaurants. Also the music was too loud, I could barely have a conversation at the table.

Always consistently delicious. Friendly staff, authentic decor, you simply won't find a more welcoming experience. The flatbread was enormous; our server said that it has proven so popular that it will be moving from a special to a regular menu item. My Guinness was perfectly poured, though I expect nothing less from one of the Irish restaurant group's restaurants.

Just one of those nights where you crave a beautiful tall glass of Guinness!! It's was a late Sunday evening not a lot going on at the restaurant but this beer just hit the spot!! And our bartender, Ethan was so welcoming and friendly. Great spot!

Absolutely delicious food! Came here one night with my roommate and friend after we did an escape room in the same shopping center. I had the Shepards Pie, and OMG...So delicious! The drinks are great, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is super friendly!

It's been three years since I've updated my review! My last visit here was in November of 2021. Three of us came in for lunch. We initially had the place to ourselves (we came in a few minutes after they opened) but more parties came in throughout our meal. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember our server's name (the receipt says "Waiter 214 AM BAR") but she was fantastic. Personable, bubbly, friendly, incredibly attentive. She was a delight. We ordered the Wexford Potato Cake appetizer, which is one of our favorites. I ordered a cup of Tomato & Whiskey Soup (fantastic!) and an Irish Rueben Sandwich (corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Irish mustard dressing, grilled rye bread) with fries and a pickle. This sandwich is one of my favorites here. The fries are great as well. My friend ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage (corned beef, champ mashed potatoes, steamed cabbage, carrot parsnip mashed potatoes). She loved it and kept raving about it during our meal. My mom ordered her tried and true - Fish & Chips (cod, homemade beer batter) with fries and vinegar slaw. The pieces of fish are generous and she loves the coleslaw. I loved the soup so much that I ordered a bowl to go, and also ordered a chicken pot pie for my dad, which he devoured and enjoyed!

The food was pretty good. They have a special on the wings on Wednesdays. The service was prompt and friendly. The bartender seated us right away. We actually arrived around noon time so we were the first ones there. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the buffalo wings. Which came with celery and your choice of dressing. The food was average. Nothing to brag about but I would return to try the crab dip. I heard it was good and I am a fan of any cheese crab dip. I enjoyed my wings. The fried green tomatoes could have been cooked a little longer to suit my taste but it wasn't bad. Just a little hard to cut through with the knife. I'm interested in trying out their early evening. To see if they have any happy Hour specials. I loved the service that was received. So I would definitely return.

When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, so we decided to play some arcade games before lunch. That turned out to be a mistake because by the time we were ready to eat, there was a wait. We were told it would be about 15 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 25. The arcade room was quite dark, which made playing pinball difficult. When I asked a staff member if the lights could be turned on, she explained that the owner prefers to keep them off. I hope they reconsider, as better lighting would make the arcade much more enjoyable. There are single-occupancy restrooms near the arcade that were much less busy than those by the main dining area. Since our last visit, we also learned that the former liquor store next door has been converted into an overflow dining room when the main restaurant is busy, and it's also used for private events. Despite the wait, Angie, our server, was excellent. She was personable, attentive, and even happy to take a group photo for us. The food was great. I especially enjoyed the Old Bay wings, rockfish tenders, soft shell crab sandwich, and waffle fries. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal, and we look forward to returning.

Funny thing is the night they offered that, I had made it for my husband and he had the leftovers for his lunch, so he opted for a salad that night. In the restaurants defense, as someone that makes the dish, it takes some space to marinate the meat for a few days and maybe that's the problem....but honestly I tasted the gravy on her dish and it was great, so I understand her disappointment and maybe Jimmy's needs to reevaluate having that or finding a way to accommodate other diners. So we went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We are always looking for places to eat on the weekends, and there are just not enough breakfast places in the area. We walked in at around 8 and they still weren't real busy. We got a nice booth and were served coffee and our server got our order pretty quick. Johnny's is diner like, so everything is on your table ready to go....and what I really liked is that I didn't have to ask anyone to get a Tabasco sauce for me. It was already on the table! Both my husband and I ordered sausage and swiss omelettes. They both came out cooked done and hot with just the right about of cheese. I know a lot of places we go seem to be skimping on that, but we want to taste it in our bite and we did! Our server refilled our coffee and was very pleasant. There is nothing like the hometown vibe that are in small restaurants and this one is no exception.
