After someone hit my parked car and destroyed the bumper, I looked for a local body shop, and Liberty Auto Body had the best reviews by a mile. After taking my car to them, I can confirm what every other reviewer has said. Not only does my bumper look better than when I first got it, they threw in a complimentary cleaning and detailing for the whole car and fixed a few minor things unrelated to the bumper at no charge. They did all this just to make sure the customer was happy - and because they're good people who care about their neighbors. Great people and great customer service! I called Liberty because I had an issue with installing Thule roof racks, and the bolts were stripped on the old racks and I couldn't remove them on my own. I talked to Vinny on the phone who told me to bring the car down right away since it wasn't too busy. He was able to fix it in just a few minutes. Vinny was a nice and personable guy and I appreciate his help. So many other shops don't have time for you if you have a small issue or question like mine. Fantastic experience! I had an oil change appointment scheduled at Pepboys, but when I arrived they told me it would be a 4 hour delay. I said "absolutely not" and walked out the front door. After a quick google search for an oil change in south Philly, I came across Liberty, and gave them a ring. Little Vin answered the phone, and we scheduled an appointment for the following morning. I went to Liberty to get an estimate, walked in and found a bunch of guys having what seemed like a private meeting. They ignored me for several minutes, then one guy finally came over and asked what I wanted. Well, supposedly it's a car repair shop, so guess. Anyway before I even described the repairs I needed, the guy asked me whether I'd had work done there before. When I said no, he gave me the stink-eye like he smelled bacon said something like "we don't take walk-ins." Then he walked off. Unfriendly, unhelpful and suspicious-acting.
