This is a Mom & Pops business with the best dang coffee Nowadays we need to support businesses like this. They have good quality coffee without a doubt. They support our military men & women in more ways than one. The owners are great people they make you feel welcome. I have to admit I have gone to those chain coffee shops & this place beats them hands down. Here when you ask for a hot cup of coffee you get a hot cup of coffee without a doubt unlike the chains that I have gone to. If you are in a hurry no worries they will have you out the door in no time but if you have the time to sit & enjoy your coffee then it's a must. Very clean & decor shows support to our military that deserves our respect. I would love to work here it's maybe small but they take care of you & you won't work away disappointed that is for sure. The prices are well worth for what you get.

Fantastic coffee, more than fair pricing, just a good spot for coffee! We love all the military themed items, and decor.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of our favorite discoveries. We had just moved from Virginia to Conway and were still getting a feel for the area, so everything felt new. The restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but the real draw? A peaceful view of the Waccamaw Riverwalk. Sitting outside, overlooking the water, we instantly relaxed--it was the perfect welcome to our new town. Then came the food--and wow. We were blown away. I ordered the seafood sampler loaded with shrimp, oysters, catfish, tater tots, and coleslaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My wife went with the pulled pork dinner, complete with classic sides, pickles, and Texas toast. We swapped bites and couldn't stop raving about how good everything was--especially for the price. Coming from Virginia, I thought I knew BBQ--ketchup-based and familiar. But this was something else entirely. That rich, tangy mustard-based South Carolina barbecue completely changed my expectations. It was a delicious surprise that instantly made me a fan. Our waitress let us know they served brunch on weekends--so back we went. Same riverside view, same laid-back vibe, but a whole new level of indulgence. I ordered the Brunch Chimichanga--crispy, savory perfection--while my wife went all-in on the Brunch Burger: French toast, sausage beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar, and hashbrown casserole. Yes, it was as incredible as it sounds. Now, Bonfire Taqueria isn't just a place we tried--it's a place we return to again and again. Great food, relaxing views, and a welcoming atmosphere make it one of our go-to spots to unwind, sip a drink, and soak in everything we love about downtown Conway.

Every time any one passed by, they could ask if we needed anything, or we could flag them down and not worry about disturbing someone who didn't have our table. We ordered coffee, an omelet, and a scrambled egg sandwich. One of the things that attracted us was the restaurant's claim of being a scratch kitchen that uses premium ingredients. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to those expectations. The coffee was disappointing--watery and weak. We were told they grind their own dark roast beans, which led me to expect an excellent cup of coffee. However, if too little coffee is used when brewing the pot, even great beans produce weak coffee. That was definitely the case here. At $4.00 per cup, I expect a quality cup of coffee, and this one simply wasn't worth the price or frankly, any price. The omelet was ordered with bacon and caramelized onions. We specifically asked our server to make sure the onions were well caramelized, but they were not. Even more noticeable was the amount of bacon. It completely overwhelmed the dish--it felt more like bacon with a little egg than an omelet. Finally, the scrambled eggs on the sandwich weren't really scrambled at all. They were cooked as one solid sheet, more like a thin omelet. For a restaurant that specializes in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, consistently preparing eggs should be one of its strengths. I truly hope whoever oversees the kitchen takes these comments in the constructive spirit they're intended. The restaurant has a great concept and quality ingredients, but paying closer attention to execution and consistency would make a significant difference. I'd be happy to give Famous Toastery another try if these issues are addressed.
