Small coffee house chain with a few locations in the Carolinas. It's better than average with lots of seasonal drink offerelings. I'd recommend it a lot more for drinks than for baked goods or breakfast sammiches. Prices are in line with Starbucks for drinkable and edible items. And no, I don't mean 420 edibles. Overall, think Starbucks, but without the corporate feel. It can get busy here in the morning. If you're in a hurry, consider calling ahead to order. Inside and outdoor seating available. It does have a couple of tvs too, which is kinda different for a coffee house.

A nice coffee spot with friendly staff. Had the Tiramisu latte, which was different but good.

We are a family owned small batch roastery with a mission to transform the way you experience coffee.

I have been anticipating the opening of Knowledge Perk as it is the first local coffee shop to open in this area of Carolina Forest.

The staff is incredibly friendly and happy to help you pick the perfect drink. They have both a coffee shop and a clothing boutique, and the space is so cozy--perfect if you're looking for a place to relax or get some work done. Everything I tried was phenomenal! The coffee flight is a great way to sample different flavors, and don't leave without trying the new ube cookie... it's AMAZING!

Even more concerning, the oat milk they used was not right. It wasn't sour, but it was visibly chunky and floating in the coffee, which made the drink pretty unappetizing. When I mentioned it, it felt like they were trying to pass it off as normal instead of addressing it seriously. That's not okay, especially for a coffee shop. The whole experience just felt careless. I don't mind the Jesus-forward vibe, but good messaging doesn't make up for poor quality and questionable standards. Definitely won't be coming back. My boyfriend meanwhile likes to support Ocean Breeze Café. Better coffee, better people, better vibe.

It's the kind of place you walk into and immediately want to sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. The service was amazing as well. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered an iced latte with vanilla and it was so good -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and refreshing. Definitely one of the best iced lattes I've had! Between the cute ambiance, great service, and delicious coffee, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back!!

I have given it many opportunities, but it just keeps leaving me disappointed. 1) The service is usually extreeeemely slow. I once waited 35 minutes for a couple sandwiches and coffees. And the place wasn't even mildly busy. The staff just didn't care to prioritize the food orders. I almost left without my food I was so mad. But I still gave it another try! 2) The food is WAY overpriced for what you get. It's insane to have to spend $40+ on super basic cafe food. The crepes are also flimsy, inauthentic, and melt immediately, so don't bother getting them to go. 3) They don't even open until 9:00 am! Um... do they not know they are a coffee shop?! I've tried to go in the morning (when people drink their coffee), and they're closed. Insane to me. Overall, I think this place has potential, it just needs to step it up. It's in a GREAT location!

Honestly, the matcha wasn't my favorite part of the experience. I personally prefer a stronger, more intense matcha flavor, and this one was a little lighter than what I usually like. That being said, pretty much everything else was fantastic. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in. The place is beautiful, and even the music stood out to me. It just had a really good vibe overall. I also loved how extensive the menu is. I went for breakfast, but what caught my attention is that you can order pretty much anything at any time. It's not one of those places where you're limited to breakfast items in the morning. I ordered the Tropical Bowl, and wow. It was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The coconut lime rice was packed with flavor, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and there was a sauce on top that tied everything together. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the seasoning was spot on, and the pickled onions and pineapple pico de gallo added so much freshness to the dish. Every bite just worked. I also learned that the owner attended culinary school in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent years cooking while traveling around the world. It was interesting to see how some of those global influences show up on the menu. Even the name "Lekker" comes from a South African word that's often used to describe something delicious or enjoyable, which felt pretty fitting after that meal. They also have pastries, specialty coffee drinks, brunch options, lunch items, and even cocktails. The menu is huge, and there's honestly something for everyone. I also tried a lavender latte with almond milk, and it was excellent. Between the food, the coffee, the atmosphere, and the service, this ended up being one of my favorite stops during my time in Myrtle Beach. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach, this is definitely a place worth checking out.
