They were so kind to offer him a free coffee for his service! :') We were just going to pop in to satisfy my affogato craving but as we were taking off, we were so blessed to have the owner have us try his French Toast Crunch!!! Oh my!!! When I say, life changing - it is an absolute must try the next time you are in this area! That first bite really took me by surprise! You should have seen my face!! Haha! It blew me away! The crunchy bits on top are Cinnamon French toast cereal bits which give it a great crunchy but light texture in contrast to the creamy custardy french toast, paired with a "to die for" creamy whipped maple syrup and cream cheese (and something else?) topping that is so very light and airy and just a bite of heaven!!!! Not too sweet! Which I love. It's Just right! TJ is a very talented chef and artist. His wife Emily is so kind and warm and makes you feel so welcomed. Liberty cafe is awesome! We stopped for a late lunch while passing through. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They had gluten free buns as an option for my burger, which I always appreciate, so I'm sure they could use that to make other menu items gluten free as well as the hamburgers. I got the basic burger and my husband tried the B3 bomber. Both were tasty! But check out the perfectly crispy onion rings! As you can see in the photo we demolished this food. Supremely delicious. We got Avocado toast which was loaded with flavor. We got the French Toast Crunch which blew the kids minds. Best French Toast they've ever had(very sweet). I got the Steamy Pile which was loaded with hash browns, peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions, ham and bacon. I got maybe half of because the whole table had to have some and came back for more. Prices are reasonable and four entrees was enough for our family of 5. Enjoyed the Americana decor and music. Last time I was here, the cafe must have had different ownership-the vibe was more progressive, there were board games to pick from and they had a little stage for live music. You have to eat here! My family and I were traveling back home from Cedar City to California and decided to stop at Liberty Cafe because the reviews and menu seemed great. The stop did not disappoint. First of all the owners are husband and wife. The wife greeted us, explained the menu and was honest about how sweet some of the items were. We knew our teens would like the French toast and it was the best we ever had. The maple cream was amazing. My husband had the waffle parfait which was a nice mix of a wholesome waffle and fruit with cream and a crunchy granola. Super yummy.
