I'm delighted to share our positive experience with Liberty Home Remodeling in Chantilly! We experienced a pretty bad hail storm in Aldie this September that destroyed our vehicles that were parked in our driveway, and the very next day following the hail storm we had nearly a dozen local and national contractors at our doorstep asking if they could conduct a free assessment of our roof damage. Because we had never made an insurance claim in 20+ years of homeownership, and that we previously had a very subpar experience with a different local roofing contractor that we had used to replace the roof on our prior home at our own expense, we were reluctant to commit to a contractor that we did not fully research or trust. I hired Liberty Home Remodeling to replace 90% of my windows in 2021. From start to finish, everything was perfect. They communicated with me every step of the way and installed 18 windows in half the day and was very professional. We decided to do the last few of the windows that we didnt touch. I went with LHR again because of how great they did the first time. I also told them verbally, I want to have everything the same. We set up the schedule for them to come at 1 pm. I get a knock on the door at around 8:00 am. I told them I wasnt expecting them until the afternoon and they said they were told to come in the morning. I allowed them to get started. As they were finishing up, I went to look at the install. All 4 windows didnt open as smooth as I am use with the original ones that were installed in 2021. The one set of windows in the Master Bathroom only had 1 lock instead of 2 which frustrated me. I called Jeff and shared my concerns. He came out the following Monday to look at the work and go over my concerns. He said the threshold for Windows are deemed acceptable and I should wait till summer because during winter, house expands or contracts due to weather so it will get better. I then show him concern with the single lock. He said thats how the window comes due to size. I then told him that the other windows that are the same size have dual locks. He then says it was oversight on his part for not including it in the contract. He then said if I want to have two locks, I will have to pay extra. Since when does a customer need to pay an extra charge for an oversight that the company made? I told them from the beginning, I want the windows to be the same to be consistent. Its like ordering siding for the house and having a part a different shade. After he left, I shared my concerns and asked Jeff to see what can be done to fix this error. He responds once saying that I will have to pay extra. I asked him to reconsider or help us out and he doesnt respond. A couple days later, his company sends me the remaining bill. I was very dissapointed with this past experience and will reconsider if I will continue doing business with them. read more

The first thing that I would say is that if you live in a house from the 80s (or earlier) with the original windows, then replacing your windows will totally change your quality of life. It won't be cheap, but it will be worth it. We have one small bedroom setup as a nursery for our unborn baby and it has two double-hung windows: one facing East, and one facing South. Before getting the windows replaced, where I always had the blinds pulled down and a curtain covering the window, I could practically guarantee that my husband would be sweating after being in that room for more than two minutes; now it is one of the most comfortable rooms in the house and I have not even put the blinds or curtains back up. From start to finish, the process was quick and easy. I would say painless, but replacing 24 windows is not an inexpensive endeavor. Still, they made it as painless as replacing 24 windows could be. The whole process began with an in-person, social distanced, estimate of what it would cost with no pressure placed onto us to "sign now" as many places like to do. Once we signed up, they sent out someone to do more exact measurements for the full order and two weeks later we had all 24 windows installed. The majority of the wait was awaiting the factory to produce our windows (US made). Jordan pushed the lowest cost window onto us and he even noted that that's what he used on his home. I have had the windows installed for about two weeks now and everything about my house is better. I have less light pollution while still having more windows open, without blinds, and the temperature in my house is predictable throughout the day. This will absolutely lower my energy costs (granted, it will take many years to recoup the cost of so many windows), but it was worth the money even if there was no financial incentive. Their staff have been efficient, friendly, and high quality throughout the process. I attached a picture showing the new window beside by old windows. My windows were dirty from the exterior because I had no way of opening them to clean them. Now I do. It is life changing in so many ways. read more

We reached out to Liberty to receive an estimate on replacing our original windows in our 1982 built home. On the day of our scheduled estimate, the owner arrived 10 minutes late. After his initial walk through, he proceeded to quote an estimate that was far lower than others we had received. He then re-did his estimate two additional times, stating that he had calculated incorrectly. After we completed additional research, we reached out three times via email with specific questions. There was no reply until our final email addressing the lack of response and stating that we would be moving onto another company. The email did not answer our questions, and referred us to a brochure. If there were a "tell us how we did" feedback form available, I would provide a list of recommendations on how they can do better. If a company can not arrive on time, be organized, answer questions, that sends up a ton of red flags for us leading to questions on how the work will be performed. read more

I have been trying to get ahold of someone to get a revised contract and to pay them and cannot. I've literally been contacting them for over 6 months and am told someone will call me back but it's there call that never comes. They supposedly have a payment link as well and I've left message after message with my email to send it. I give up! It's been terrible service from the beginning! No one called me and told me when they were going to actually initiate the work. They ended up surprising us at 7 am on a holiday by ripping up the roof over my the 6 months old room! What is a company who starts with great and professional service and finishes by using subcontractors who leaves a huge mess around the house and puts damages to your property? Liberty Home Remodeling installed a new roof to my house and used subcontractors that had no one overlooking the jobsite. Nothing was properly covered from the debris and they also moved all my outdoor furniture without putting them back into place. They also left empty boxes around the house and some flew into my neighbors yard. Nobody followed up and we had to wait weeks for them to come back for them to pick up their final check. This company takes no responsibility for their actions or cares about anything. Once they are paid, they offer no help to resolve any issues. I am now still left with a my deck damaged from roofers. Save your time and use a company who knows their employees or uses reliable subcontractors to do the job right the first time. *****Update April 20 I get an opportunity to speak with the owner of the company and he is going through some issues with his managers and will be doing his best to improve his company. He also reassured me 3 weeks ago that he would be able to return my money for unfinished work and reimbursement for damages to my deck when the roof was replaced by his subcontractors. The owners said all the right answers with NO RESULTS. MY next step is to take legal action and also complain to DPOR. read more

I wish my experience was good like some of them...sadly, no one ever called me after they picked the first insurance check. I always have to follow up with someone in the office myself. I waited 3 months to get my roof done, and they did not get to my downspouts until 6 months later yet they called me to ask me to pay rest of the payment. They are quick on asking money but not the job. Not to mention no one complete the quality control job before they they ask for the last payment. Stupid me referred them to 2 of my families who also suffered the same experience. This company needs to hire people who can do the communication or follow up job! read more

Following a hailstorm in May 2016, I decided to have my home assessed for damage. Rather than going with some firms recommended by my insurance company, I looked around at the neighborhood and selected Liberty Home Remodeling based upon the proliferation of their signs. This was the first time I'd chosen a contractor in this manner and definitely the last time I will do so. A gentleman showed up, did an assessment, and stated I needed a new roof and siding. Outlining the process with the insurance company, he presented a document with an estimate. Within a week, an assessor from my insurance company showed up and told the LHR rep that the roof did not sustain enough damage for replacement and the siding only qualified for a partial. A short time later, LHR sent the insurance company information regarding the roof and siding; the roof was still denied but, eventually, due to an inability to match siding, a full siding replacement was approved. The insurance company issued an initial check for the work and would provide additional payment when the work was completed. Some months later, after some calls, a crew showed up and started work. Within three days the work was complete; yet there were a few issues. Corner trim was damaged by the crew which they initially denied. Fortunately, another contractor had just replaced the trim in that location and I had pics to provide the condition of the wood prior to the siding replacement. The crew had noticed the damage and had attempted a slip-shot repair job. For some unknown reason, some of the crew had disassembled the railing on my recent renovated front porch, then and put the railing on backwards. When I pointed it out, the attempt at repairing the holes in the wood were half-hearted at best. Considering I had just paid a contractor $1500 to repair the front porch, my dissatisfaction with the resolution on this matter has not been salved. Additionally, a part of the siding has waves in it. The crew left numerous nails in the yard which still pop up. It is now a year since the hail damage and LHR is seeking final payment on the work. It should be noted the final payment is 25% higher than the estimate. In light of the trouble to get some resolution to the matter and the length of time involved, a discount on the work would have been a good-will business practice. In hindsight, I should have gone with the firms recommended by my insurance company. read more

But I called them with my concerns about all the roofing, siding and gutters and they called me back. My concerns were addressed and they got the job done correctly. First the job they did was fine. The roof looks great. The guys that came to our door were great and I have no issues with them. They came October 2016, work done in December 2016 and its March 2017 and they aren't complete with a downspout they were supposed to fix. I also have debris for material they didn't use in my yard from December. I am completely frustrated with the lack of response from the company. They haven't even come by to collect their payment. I do love the job they did but I am utterly disappointed in everything else with this company. They came with great reviews too so I am not sure if I am a one off or this is a trend. Do your research and read all the reviews before having this company complete work on your home. We are not satisfied with our roof. No one from the company was available during the installation. They hire subcontractors and are not on site to monitor the job nor do they come to check if the job was ever completed. They come when it's time to collect the check. The contractors left nails, and trash in my yard. I thought they would return to clean up but that never happened. Additional I have damage to home and we are now going back and forth with the company to get the damage fixed. I wish I would have done my research and read some of the reviews before having this company do work on my home. Get recommendations from your insurance company. Liberty offered to inspected our roof, and they were right, we did in fact have roof damage. Liberty assisted us every step of the way. When we contacted our insurance company, they were there. Our insurance company came to inspected the roof damage and Liberty was there. From start to finish Liberty was there ensuring the process went smoothly. Stay far away from these guys. They have not completed our job begun in December! The shingles are popping up now in the warmer weather, there were roofing nails left all over our yard and deck, they broke two outdoor spotlights, and they left the full dumpster in our driveway for 3 months. There is a cable dangling from a gutter that should have been removed. We don't know if the flashing was ever installed around the skylight. We can't get ahold of anyone to address all these issues, and they haven't even picked up their final payment. Unbelievable. read more

We purchased our home in August and all of the screens were in horrible condition. We worried we'd have to replace all 38 of them completely, but Liberty Home made us aware of a process whereby we could just rescreen them at a fraction of the cost. The screens were picked up and delivered to us quickly and without incident. In fact, their rep performed a complimentary roof, siding and window inspection upon delivery. He identified some items that needed minor repair that were previously missed by our home inspection. Currently we are working with them for new windows and doors. I had an awful experience with Liberty Home Remodeling, we had hail damage in March 2017 to our home. A representative came to our home soliciting business, we took him up on his offer. The LHR representative contacted our insurance company, the insurance assessor came out with the LHR rep. did an overview of our home. There were a list of damages that needed to be repaired. It took weeks before I heard from the LHR representative finally, someone came replaced the shingles on our roof and weeks later another contractor came out to replace the gutters, they were supposed to have replaced our screens on the windows. I constantly call the LHR rep, each time I was given a fairy-tale lie until the last time he told me he was out of town celebrating his sister's birthday. Finally they had a contractor to pick up the screens from our home and never to return the old screens nor replace with new screens. The rest of the work has never been completed and nor do I want them on my premise. I have called them numerous of times speaking with the General Manager who talked talked a good game, told and agreed with me what he knew I wanted to hear. and he just lied. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. This was a terrible experience. They have very bad customer service need to go out of business. read more
