A hidden gem close to home! The service is fast and there is always ample parking in front. The pizza is amazing and made fresh to order. I wanted to really like this place due to the multiple good reviews, but...it just wasn't it for me. I did order through DoorDash delivery. The reason I did not like this pizza was due to the crust. The crust didn't have that soft pillowy, chewy texture that you like to have when taking that first bite of a slice of pizza. It was just thin and flat. It kind of reminded me of the $1.00 grocery store microwave pizza crust. It didn't have much flavor, it was just one note. I enjoyed the toppings and the sauce. I thought the toppings were plentiful and distributed well on the top of the pizza. Each slice had a good ratio of toppings. The garlic knots were very tasty. Although they were not in the shape of knots, they were very fluffy and soft in the middle. I enjoyed these more than the pizza, sadly. I wish their pizza/marinara sauce was an option for a dipping sauce. I ended up getting their pesto sauce and all it was, was oil and basil blended together. It had no pine nuts, no garlic, no parmesan, no seasonings at all. It was very bitter. I would not get the pesto again. I'd like to try their calzones next time. My first job ever was at a pizza spot, I have travelled to tons of major cities (including New York) and love to compare pizzas and give respect to the craft and there is absolutely nothing like a GOOD New York style pizza. With that being said, I had been eager to try the much-hyped "New York style" pizza at Liberty Pizza for weeks once a friend of mine told me a local new pizza spot was opening close to home. I followed the instagram page and eagerly awaited for updates and after their first pizza post...I already knew. Two weeks later I give in and bring a friend to try out this place out and boy oh boy. We grabbed a slice each, pepperoni & jalapeño and a supreme. (They were nice enough to throw in a free cheeseburger flavor slice.) Let's talk about the crust...cause I got a lot to say. New York style is famous for its thin, crisp base - a perfect foundation for any topping. It's foldable but can hold structure. It's flavorful and compliments the pizza. The crust should have a crisp! What I got, however, was a crust so doughy and limp, it could have doubled as a yoga mat. And the flavor? Maybe it was left in NY cause it definitely wasn't in that crust. The crust can only be described as comparable to an adult lunchables pizza. Now moving on to the toppings. The cheese looked like it had made an attempt to escape to the crust because the spread was so light. There was simply not enough cheese and lacked even coverage. Now if I'm going to get spread open 3-4 dollars for a slice of pizza then you better make sure you spread that cheese and sauce right on that pizza. Speaking of the sauce the herbs and spices must have been on vacation, because they were nowhere to be found. They could bottle up that pizza sauce and sell it as ketchup. Now, for the positive - yes, there was one. The service was great. Hence the two stars and not one star. Kudos to the staff for their service and for keeping the place clean, but if you're seeking an authentic New York style pizza or even just good pizza, this ain't it chief. I'm all for supporting small businesses but not if they can't support me with some good pizza. read more
