Review: Two Guys Pasta and Pizza I was catching up with my 8 month pregnant friend, I attended her OB appointment, and we chose Two Guys Pasta & Pizza to celebrate afterward. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Before being seated, I came in to check the wait time and spoke directly with the manager/owner lady. She told me there was no wait, so I let her know I would step out to my car to take my medication and come right back. I also made it clear to both her and our server that this was our first time dining here. From the start, the seating arrangement felt unnecessarily cramped. Although the restaurant was mostly empty, guests were grouped closely together instead of being spaced out. We were packed in so tightly that the person behind me kept brushing me with her hair, and it was impossible to have a private conversation because you could hear everything around you. The lighting was also very dim, making the menu difficult to read--even with glasses--and there were no photos to help. When ordering, I clearly explained my order multiple times to our server. I ordered the chicken parmigiana lunch special and asked to substitute the Mostaccioli pasta with marinara sauce for Fettuccine Alfredo noodles, stating I was willing to pay any upcharge. I repeated this request multiple times, and each time the server confirmed it was fine. At no point was there any mention of a restriction. However, when the dish arrived, it was made completely differently than what I ordered. The chicken was prepared with Alfredo sauce instead of marinara, and everything was baked together in one dish. This is not how chicken parmigiana is typically served. I was scoffed at for requesting a plate so I could properly cut my chicken. Presentation wise, the plate looks cute being served on top of the bed of noodles, but it's not conducive for eating when your chicken is sliding all over the noodles and the noodles are sliding out of a low level oval dish. I also never received the fettuccine Alfredo noodles back that I had ordered correctly. After I explained the issue and handed the incorrect Chicken "ALFREDO" Parmigiana dish back, the owner removed the plate--including the Alfredo noodles I had only taken a couple of bites from--and I was never given my noodles back. Service throughout the visit was very inconsistent. Despite the restaurant not being busy, it was difficult to get our server's attention. We had to ask other staff to locate her, drinks were not refilled (including my pregnant friend's), and overall we felt overlooked. When the dish was finally being remade, there was a significant delay. By the time anything was ready, my friend had already finished her entire meal while I was still sitting there without food. At that point, I had to ask for my order to simply be boxed to go, because the moment to sit and enjoy the meal together had already passed. To add to the frustration, I could clearly hear other nearby tables making modifications to their meals, and those requests were accommodated without issue. That made it even more confusing why my very simple request--one I was willing to pay extra for--was not handled the same way. It led me to deduce that shading was a factor. I was ultimately told the restaurant only allows one sauce per dish--either Alfredo or marinara--but this was never explained when I ordered. The bread and butter provided were also rock hard and not edible. I want to be clear that no one was outright rude. However, the overall experience left me feeling overlooked and not prioritized as a customer. I had originally planned to place an additional to-go order for my family, but after this experience, I chose not to. Because of how this was handled, I ended up leaving without being able to properly eat, despite having taken medication that required food. Having medication in my system without food ended up upsetting my stomach, which made the situation even worse. We personally prefer places like Alfredo's or Napoli's, even Olive Garden, where we can order and receive the food we're paying for prepared as requested. On a positive note, the restroom was clean and spacious. The Dr. Pepper was good too. The food itself... Mid. Honestly, Olive Garden does it better. Overall, I was excited to try this place, but between the cramped seating, lack of communication, inconsistent service, and rigid handling of a simple customization request, the experience fell short. I don't see myself returning...Which kinda felt like the manager lady's goal with the Shade factor she was giving off. read more

My family ordered from here the night we got up to PML as an easy dinner. They told us our order would be ready in about 30 minutes. My dad got there 30 minutes later, and stood waiting in line for 30 minutes. He told them he made a phone order and was just there to pick up, but he said it was chaotic in there. It did not seem like there was a method to the madness at all, and was really disorganized. It was 4th of July weekend, so yes they were busy, but a place like this should be ready for those holiday weekends. The whole time he waited, our pizzas were ready the whole time so by the time he got them home, they were soggy and cold which obviously made them taste mediocre. Clean restaurant Dim-lit, laid back vibe - it made me want some wine! The toasted ravioli appetizer had really tasty, almost creamy cheese and they were toasted perfectly - no oily residue taste like other Italian places. The dinner rolls are huge and so soft and fluffy and I loved the garlic butter. The pasta was fantastic! The sauce tasted so homey, like some real comfort food, full of flavor. Even my unsweetened iced tea had flavor, unlike everywhere else that is horridly watered down these days. Service is excellent, our waitress Summer was great, she was attentive and friendly. Another server, who was serving another table passed us and asked if he could take our dirty dishes out of the way. Thats a huge green flag for exceptional customer service that you really don't see anywhere anymore. Talk about party poopers. If you want to celebrate your birthday or any special occasion here.. DO NOT! The food has always been okay. So that wasn't the problem. The problem was Two Guys don't want people to celebrate a special occasion here. First they don't offer any type of dessert so we brought a cake to share with family and to celebrate a birthday. The waitress said she was supposed to take it away... uh the hell!? If they tried we definitely would have left. Since when was this something they do? My family has celebrated here before so I don't know why they changed that and became rude party poopers. Anyways, just a warning for anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion here. First time at this restaurant and it completely won us over! Surprised by the size of the portion for what they charged! Portions were very generous! The pizza was hot, and packed with flavor, and the pasta Fettuccine Danielle was just as incredible--comforting, rich, and totally satisfying. We came in curious and left full, happy!. I would never eat here! I tried every door and signs make you walk around the restaurant to a door that doesn't open. No one is working anywhere visible. We absolutely love this place and go at least once a month--it's always so delicious! The food is usually spot on, especially when dining in. However, I ordered pick-up today and was a little disappointed with the bread. It was hard and tortellini--it was really dry and barely had any sauce. I've noticed that when I eat in the restaurant, the dish has way more sauce and is way more enjoyable. Food: If you want an outstanding pasta, I would not recommend here. Large portions of pasta but the alfredo sauce tasted pasty and we found the actual pasta dishes / pasta itself sort of bland. The bread basket we got was amazing, very fluffy, large rolls with some really yummy butter. I was really surprised by it. We got a lot of sauce with our sampler appetizers and it was plenty to go around, they were generous as well with the sauce on the pasta and you will not find stinginess to be an issue here. I found the idea of pepperoni slices on a salad to be a bit odd and if you go I'd suggest you order the ranch dressing because the house dressing was sort of experimental in an unpleasant way. It felt like they were trying to turn cold greens into spaghetti. Ambience: Inside was moody in a nice, ambient way with dark wood and warm lights. A great example of not judging a book by its cover. Plenty of parking and the service is very friendly. They had me at complementary "fresh baked (yeast) dinner rolls." Took a while for me to decide on my order as the they offer a very extensive menu. Chicken Marsala was my choice. A choice of soup or salad was offered, I chose the Italian wedding soup. Wow, talk about comforting. Flavor was phenomenal, the meatball and pasta melted in my mouth. Marsala: Two large chicken breast that were very tender and well seasoned, served over pasta and ladled with their Marsala sauce. I'm not picky and don't adhere to the " Traditional" way of taste. If it's delicious and service is good, I'm recommending and returning. You'll need to pay up at the register and that's where I spoke with the owner/mgr (I think), who asked how my dining experience was. I told her it was my first time and that I'll definitely return. It was 90% penne pasta with marinera. Not a bad flavor, there was the thinnest slice of eggplant on top. WHAT A JOKE!. PLUS, I ordered fettaccini Alfredo, and EXTRA, Alfredo for a dipping sauce.
