Liberty Square is OK. This themed land at Magic Kingdom is best known for the Haunted Mansion, which is one of the best rides in all of Disney World. Other highlights or notable points of interest for my wife and me here include Memento Mori (a great gift shop with Haunted Mansion merchandise), Columbia Harbour House (one of the better quick-service restaurants in the park; underrated for its quieter upstairs seating), and the Hall of Presidents. The area is themed after Colonial America and has a replica Liberty Bell at its de facto center. It's the smallest themed land in Magic Kingdom and, following the closure of the Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle Riverboat in July 2025 for the new Cars expansion, it feels even more compact. Because it's so small, it doesn't offer as much to do as the other lands. Fun fact: The replica Liberty Bell here is the only one in the world cast from the same mold as the original in Philadelphia. Of all the "sections" at Magic Kingdom, Liberty Square is probably the smallest in terms of having the least amount of attractions of them all. My personal favorite part of the park is Tomorrowland in my #1, but I think Liberty Square comes in right at #3, tied with Adventureland! My favorite parts of Liberty Square is WITHOUT A DOUBT Haunted Mansion!!!!!! This is one of my top rides in the whole park and is more than reason enough to be going to the Liberty Square area! You should also maybe take note of the ground you're walking on throughout Liberty Square and perhaps look up the meaning of it and how it differs from the rest of the park! read more

Magic Kingdom (Orlando) Liberty Square is one of six "themed lands" at Magic Kingdom. There are more places to eat inside Liberty Square than there are rides and attractions. As far as attractions go we were able to watch a 22-min presentation inside a theatre at The Hall of Presidents. It was an animatronic presentation of all 45 U.S. Presidents on stage together. I wasn't able to get FastPass+ for Haunted Mansion and we weren't about to stand in the crazy long almost 3-hr line. Anyway, it wouldn't be a first time experience for us, this attraction can be found in New Orleans Square at Disneyland California. "Liberty Belle" at the Liberty Square Riverboat also sails from here (looks similar to the Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland) except here around the river there are signs that says "DANGER! Alligators and Snakes in area" Yikes! I guess they're really everywhere in Florida. So I got sent to the Pillory and Stocks at Liberty Square... all I wanted was a Mickey ice-cream! One of many themed areas in Magic Kingdom that transports you to a specific kind of 'land'. This one is historic Americana vibe. They have several shops and restaurants (I suggest looking for reservations in advance for the sit down restaurants). It's a large area, so it's easy to walk around and it has a lake view throughout, which is nice. The two main rides are the ferry boat and Haunted Mansion. The shooting area is closed for COVID right now, but the shops are open with controlled capacities. I prefer the Disneyland version where it's New Orleans based, but it's still a fun and scenic walkthrough nonetheless. Overall: B A fun 'land' in World with plenty to see and do. Liberty Square is a small themed land connecting Frontierland with Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. In the center of Liberty square is the great Liberty tree that sits in front of the Liberty tree tavern. This tree was purposely transported and planted here. Among its branches are 13 lanterns representing the 13 original colonies. it is the largest living tree in the Magic Kingdom. While there take a look at the replica of the Liberty bell with the crack surrounded by the flags of the 13 original colonies. A nearby pillory allows for a great photo opportunity. Attractions in this area include the hall of Presidents, the haunted mansion, and the Liberty Square riverboats on a trip through the rivers of America. Shops include Ye Old Christmas shop and Memento Mori which is a Haunted Mansion themed store. Sit down restaurants include the Liberty Tree Tavern and the Diamond Horseshoe serving identical menus. Fast casual food is also available from Columbia Harbor House, funnel cakes from Sleepy Hollow, and Liberty Square market where you can buy those delicious turkey legs. This area is great also for watching the parades. Parades normally start in Frontierland, cross over part of Liberty Square and work their way to the Cinderella castle and down Main St. You can usually get a good vantage point to see them. I grew up with Disneyland and New Orleans Square. When you're in New Orleans Square, it transports you to another time and place. It is, without a doubt, my favorite of all Disney hubs day and night. Plus it's home to both the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, and both rides are better for it somehow. Liberty Square just feels like an extension of Main Street. It's only home to the Haunted Mansion and it doesn't set the stage anywhere near as well. It's modeled after New England, but I know New England can be more atmospheric than this. read more

Liberty Square is my favorite land in Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Now if you were to ask me what my favorite land in Disneyland is, it's Fantasyland. I love Liberty Square the best because it is unique and special to the park; Disneyland does not have Liberty Square so coming to visit this land is a rare and special treat. It's also smaller than the other lands which means it is a less crowded area than Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Frontierland. Liberty Square begins and is found on the outskirts of Fantasyland. My husband and I found the Haunted Mansion right outside the Cinderella Castle (which you all know the Haunted Mansion is such an iconic ride but I will write a review on that attraction later). Liberty Square is extremely colonial and my husband commented that the land looks like Philadelphia. The cast members are dressed up from the Colonial era which gives a historical feel to the park. Liberty Square contains the attractions of the Haunted Mansion (as previously stated), the Liberty Square River Boat, and the Hall of Presidents (which is my husband's favorite attraction). They also have Sleepy Hollow and Liberty Tree restaurants and specialty stores like Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. The attractions are amazing, the restaurants are fantastic and the stores are fun to browse in or shop at. Stop by this land for a good time and to take a break from all the crowds in Disney World. read more

Liberty Square is the undisputed crappiest land in all of the Magic Kingdom (now that Toontown has bitten the dust). Burger that was recommended by server as her favorite consisted of an over cooked fried egg, some indistinguishable seafoood (also over cooked), 2 strips of bacon, 2 slices of yellow cheese, a good-sized burger (underdone), a a lot of bun in proportion to the other components. Fries were blah. Server offered malt vinegar but did not bring salt, pepper, or sweetener for our iced teas. The other meal consisted of one piece of fried haddock (greasy) and fries. I've walked through this section for years and didn't realize - or just didn't pay attention - that it actually had it's own name. I don't remember ever riding the Riverboat (though I walk by it on the path all the time) or the Hall of Presidents. Liberty Square does draw a lot of the crowd for the parade - so if you're not stopping to see the parade my advice would be to avoid this area around that time if you can. Fun little section of Magic Kingdom! Liberty Square is probably the smallest "area" of the park, but contains some classic attractions. My fiance and I visited: -Haunted Mansion -Liberty Square River Boat Cruise (which goes around Tom Sawyer's Island, technically located in Frontierland) -Hall of Presidents (I don't know if they have this at Disneyland, but it was my first time visiting and I loved it). Liberty Square! Probably the Magic Kingdom's most ignored land of all the 7 lands. You've gotta feel a little sorry for it. After all, the only reason anybody even comes here is to go to The Haunted Mansion (or as my family prefers to call it, "the not so haunted mansion"). It's very family friendly, typical Disney, and really, not to be missed. What it lacks in the scary factor, it more than makes up for in humor and stlye. The Hall of Presidents is also back here. Your kids might hate you for it, but if they are over 5 years old, you should make them see it. (just please leave the theater if they act up and can't be quiet!). I often wonder why Disney does not do something more with this area of the park. The river boats are so incredibly boring! At least this is a small area, so just before this piece of colonial America is able to put you to sleep, you will either be at Frontierland where you can get a real kick out of Big Thunder Mountain, or at the awesomeness of Fantasyland, which is the epitome of Disney awesomeness! read more

Every time we visit the Magic Kingdom we make a point to get to Liberty Square. For the Haunted Mansion, natch, but also for our lunch spot: the Columbia Harbor House. For Disney, the food is very good. The clam chowder is excellent, and the salmon over couscous with brocolli was very tasty without having any part of it fried. The fried shrimp basket is standard and good, as are the fish and chips. Slather on the malt vinegar and tartar sauce and you're set. For kids they offer pb&j, grilled cheese, and mac n cheese (plus applesauce, fries, or cookie upon request). After lunch you can laze around and catch the Hall of Presidents, which makes me tear up every time, I'm so sentimental. On the hunt for the tastiest lobster roll in central Florida I tried the Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. It's difficult to find really good food in any of the Disney parks unless you want to spend a large amount of money. This place was in the middle as far as cost per meal is concerned. Although they had a 10 dollar tuna sandwich (seriously?). The burgers are also about 10 dollars. The lobster roll was $13.00 which is a bit less than average. We also ordered the fish and chips which was about $8.50. The restaurant was big, and delightfully air conditioned which was a huge plus on this sweltering day. There were plenty of available tables as there is also seating upstairs. Very cute nautical themed spot to eat. The fish and chips were pretty good but not great. The lobster roll was very disappointing. Very little meat, lots of mayonnaise and celery on a large untoasted hunk of bread shaped like a roll. More like a lobster salad sandwich than an authentic lobster roll. I will add that I was born in Maine and spend my vacation there so I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to lobster rolls. While I appreciated the respite from the blaring heat in this charming place, next visit I'll try the burger. I was wicked disappointed in the lobster roll. read more

We don't have a Liberty Square at Disnelyand, in fact most of the stuff here is at the front of the park in California. However, it's a nice area of it's own here. We ate at the Colonial Harbour House which had some really decent food without breaking the budget and the ride around the steam boat was relaxing. We went to the Hall of President's show with the animatronics which was really cool, I hadn't seen it since I was a kid 20 years ago. The haunted mansion is located here and while the ride does seem better than Disneyland's the mansion only looks like a house while it looks like a real haunted mansion in California. We got lucky and got on before the lines got long. I gave it a 5 stars because of the theme, casting, and shows. We also found food we could eat here for someone who only eat veggies and seafood at the Colonial Harbour House with good food there and helpful cast members there. There's also a fixed menu restaurant which seems very well themed and popular. read more
