Unfortunately, I couldn't even shift to neutral and had to arrange a tow (which they also offered to help with, if I didn't have it covered by insurance). I needed an honest estimate from a garage, for transmission and clutch work. I spoke to this guy on the phone prior to dropping my car with him today. He made a very good 1st umpression on the phone. I agreed to bring my car in and have him at least look it over, free of charge. I dropped my car off and walked into the office. To the nice front desk lady taking notes, I gave some personal information; home address, number, full name. They requested my car registration, but I declined. I walked out and felt like I was going to be taken. The owner was so shady looking, and his eye contact was indirect and shifty. I sat in my other car in front of the shop for about half hour, feeling like I would be an idiot to leave my car with this place. When I approached the owner telling him to return my car to the street, I was verbally assaulted, called stupid, flakey, the owner dropped the "eff bomb", scoffed at me, told me the "assumption about the cost of your repair you made after sitting in your Volvo" what my 2nd car has to do with my 1st, I don't know. explaining that my decision to not adhere to his free estimate & keep my car there was "fuc&ing stupid" "fine, take it back to your other garage who fuc&ed it up to begin with". Completely unprofessional. I can't tell you enough to make you avoid this place. I am willing to bet that he wrote the "5 star" review for this business.
