But during the 2 hours it took she contradicted her own advice several times, and told my daughter she also had lice but never showed us the 2 she said she found. She gave us a follow up sheet of directions, most of which was very different from what she told us. She said we could call her and gave her number- over the next 3 days I called her twice and the company twice. I have yet to receive any response from anyone. We will see if this works and I may update this if things improve, but for the amount of money (about $350) you'd think we would have at least gotten the comb she used, instead of being told where to buy one at 9:00 that night when she was done. (Not sure why she had to oil everyone's head to check- you can inspect for lice without that.). Praying this treatment works- you end up doing a lot of aftercare yourself. I also just read the receipt they sent, which states they oiled hair and removed nits and lice- true. And it also said hair was washed, dried, and remaining lice and nits were removed. When you start having problems on day 8- they offer no advice or suggestion. I was asked to comb her hair, place the nits/ eggs and lice on a paper towel and take a picture. Funny, they are willing to send someone when you are paying $175 for the first hour and $100/ hour after that. On day 8 when you need help- they send no one! This service is simply olive oil and a complete waste of money. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from one of the owners today who was willing to hear my concerns and address them. I was pleasantly surprised to get this call and am so grateful to her for out reaching me. She offered guidance on the phone as well as hearing my frustrations with the follow up actions of the person who triaged us on the call. Unfortunately those that don't review or don't speak up for help allow the spread of this very common nuisance that has wiggle it's way into our schools, daycares, hair salons, playgrounds, etc. Anywhere there is direct head/hair contact and one head is infested (some know and alot don't know), lice can be there. I am not sure which one of us 3 got it first or who we know or where we went to that has it but we got it! My experience with it all became very overwhelming. 6 months ago is when we started feeling something off and treated with an over the counter Lice/Nit Treatment, after 4 weeks passed with some relief I had to make a call to our primary care doc and ask for an RX. I filled it, did what I was suppose to do and more time passed and still not gone. I finally stumbled across Lice Clinics and realized there was one in Longmont. Our oldest daughter was with my niece so their family also got treated and checked because they had them too. Now there is no one else we've been around. We followed every direction we were given. Fast forward till today, my oldest daughters hair is completely infested and there's even more then the first time which means they weren't treated properly and the treatment failed. I'm posting the picture to understand How bad. The typical live bug lays 10 eggs a day, the amount of eggs means it's been well over 30 days worth of time. We estimate there are 8-900 eggs. They only got 3 adults out of her hair. The math is simple. The treatment failed. They give you a 30 day guarantee which we are 6 days outside of that but have more then 30 days worth of bugs. The owner of the company Wade just called me and they won't honor the guarantee regardless of the above. He went as far to say we got reinfected on an airplane possibly, completely ignoring the fact that it's more then 30 days worth of bugs. The deal he gave us was not even half off. It is $96 per kid so it saves me $75. I offered to pay for one kid which would pay the employees time and not be losing money. He flat out said no all the while knowing and saying were the 1% which the treatment didn't work on. Because of covid there is no school and we've kept to ourselves. 10000% it failed and the owner won't honor his employees failure and if someone runs a business where they admit fault but yet don't make it right isn't somewhere I'd do business with. There is another company not far from their office called licecleanse which I would try. Take our horrible experience as a lesson in an already horrible situation.
