I went to Lice Cleanse after the place in Arvada, that my doctor referred me to go was closed due to an emergency. I called them and told them I DIDN'T need to be checked as I already had the diagnosis from my doctor, and that I was anxious to get the procedure that my doctor explained done right away. Although he told me that I can do it myself, as he had when his children were exposed, I was too anxious to trust myself, so I wanted to have someone who does this do it for peace of mind. The procedure was to put something on my hair and scalp and leave it on for some time and comb it out. And that I may have to check again in a week. I explained this to the masked lady at Lice cleanse. When I went there she had a place with a bunch of chairs and no product or sinks or anything, so I was a little thrown off. She proceeded to yank a hair out of my head and show me a nit. I acknowledged that I already knew I had them, I was evaluated by my doctor. She then proceeded to give me a high pressure sales pitch on how ALL other business in Colorado are bad and cannot get rid of Lice, that only she and another lady in the WHOLE state of Colorado can get rid of it, because she was certified in some other state to pick nits out of a persons hair, and she does it without any harmful products. I told her that I just wanted the procedure that my doc told me and she kept going on about how the other business that my doctor referred was a fraud as only she can get rid of them, if I used that other or any other business, I would NOT get rid of the lice and it would come back. I felt very uncomfortable and felt that she was scamming me, so I asked her how much she charges and she told me $250. I got up from the chair and told her that her procedure is NOT what I wanted and began to leave. Forgetting my purse on my chair, I reached to grab it and she got it first and lifted it above her head to keep it from me, yelling at me the whole time, "GIVE ME MY MONEY!!" I was shocked and tried to grab my purse back, when she hauled off and hit me with it to keep me from getting it. I finally wrestled it away and ran to the door. The whole time she is yelling to give her her money. I told her that she did nothing and I owed her nothing. As anxious as I was to get rid of this lice, I was willing to wait until the other lady in Arvada was back rather than trust this scam artist to touch me. She told me that she was going to take a picture of me and was calling 911! She actually did, and I waited for the police, but they never came, and while I was waiting a white truck showed up and parked a parking space away with his truck nearly facing my car. I don't know if it was her husband or someone she knew, but I honestly felt threatened and stayed there for a few more minutes until he finally left. I went home slowly to make sure no one followed me (because her behavior and that truck made me feel very unsafe). When I got home, I called the police to report the attack as I wanted to make sure that this was on file in case there was any other incident with this person. She tore the corner of my purse at the handle in her mad attack to take my purse. Although I wasn't hurt, I feel that if anyone sees this , it may save them from a very expensive lengthy procedure. If you are considering her, be sure to ask if she charges by the hour and how much, does she charge $30 for a sales pitch. I did press charges, and have been in contact with the police for the past few days. Also, the place in Arvada that I went to uses a NON TOXIC treatment that actually made my scalp feel so good where I have been so irritated. read more
