This review is for Chris, he did great. Exceptional customer service by Chris. After WE made a mistake in the customization he still provided great customer service and made it right. I appreciate his efforts. Came in for a blank 59/50 New Era. Wanted to customize with my son's team logo. Chris helped me get to the second location in the outlet mall where they had a blank black in my size. Picked it up and came back a couple days later. Chris stitched up. It wasn't what I was expecting because I did not confirm the color with him. I failed to confirm with Chris the color blue I wanted on the hat. Chris didn't blame or try to make excuses. We both agreed we both could have done better. Value comes in many ways. At Lids it definitely isn't the pricing. But it is in the customer service that Chris provided. read more

The storefront of Lids is not very protruded. I walked by and almost did not notice there was a store. The store is very dark from the outside. I almost thought it was a vacant store. Luckily, a couple in front of me opened the door, and I found out this was the store selling the hats I wanted. They have lots of hats in there. Lots of them are the sports caps from your favorite teams. The prices are less than you can get in the team stores. The workers are pretty quiet in this store. They are not very active. The good thing is I don't have to wait to pay for my purchase. read more

Lids at the Folsom outlets was a great experience!!! Went there to get my coaching team hats with their names on the back and the customer service was awesome!!! Employees David and Rodney were very helpful and exceeded expectations! They helped me confirm hat sizes and costs! They also informed me that for every sports hat, it was a BOGO which was cool because I got to treat myself to getting a new hat! David help me searching for all the hats I needed and Rodney did all the stitching on the back! Rodney was excellent on the stitching.... making it look real nice with the perfect font size! Came to the store today 2/13/24 at 3:52 pm. Door was locked. Hours on yelp, google and the door show that the store is open. I knocked and no one answered. I then see a woman walk up and tell me the store is closed and she's on her lunch. When I asked what time she will open, she frustratingly told me 4pm. Why is there no one working there? I have purchased 6-7 hats this Christmas from this store and had OB customize each one. They all turned out excellent! Earlier this year I had 2 hats turn out no so good by another place and OB was even able to unstitch and fix them for me! I won't be going anywhere else to buy hats from now on. Thanks OB! read more

Just went to this location with my pregnant wife at the Folsom outlets just now 12:45 pm July 31st and was in for 5-10 mins found two hats on sale wanted to buy approached register the guy asked if I was paying card or cash I replied card he asked if I had a number with them I said no he rung the items up as he told me the total about $44 and change I I questioned It he said the were both $20 each I showed him the hat with the sticker that said $10 he asked was there another one I told him I don't know he didn't check shrugged his shoulders and didn't not assist or provide any customer service he then made accusation that I or someone switched the sticker instead I said never mind then he changes his mind to give me the price on the hat it isn't about the money it's about his poor service and the way he treated us . I have asked for his name he would not give it I have called multiple times to ask for a manager he hangs up The African American guy w/ tattoos so rude and disrespectful. I hope this reaches someone in corporate. Much better than the alternative Sports Fever in the Folsom Outlets. While Sports Fever has a variety of gear, Lids only has hats, but the quality here is in general much better. I'm a sports cap fan anyway - a fetishist of sorts. The service here isn't nearly as pushy as at a lot of other sports gear stores, and whoever is behind the counter during my visits is usually pretty accommodating. I'm peeved that authentic sports gear is confined to specialty stores with poor selections and huge markups. read more

I purchased an e gift card for my grandson on 12/26/22. It was supposed to arrive in his in-box within hours but after two days and nothing, I called customer service. I was on hold for over 20 minutes just to be told "I don't know why your gift card wasn't delivered but that's not my department. I will have to give you a ticket number and send the information to THAT department." Why on earth does a customer service rep NOT KNOW the answer to my simple question?? They sure grabbed on to my Visa card and had my money the very same day I placed the order. I could go on and on but there's really no point. After a second phone call and a "live chat" my grandson finally received his e gift card. Don't go here. I decided to give them a second chance after my visit from my last post. I show up at 6:55 pm. They are closed, no sign on the door no explaining the customers you had to leave early nothing. Come to find out after talking to other mall employees this store tends to close their doors hours early almost on a daily basis! The district manager and field leader ship needs to take a real assessment of this team and clean house on all these employees, let them go! I am a frequent shopper, and still have these issues every time I come! This is just ridiculous these people are unprofessional they're rude they're condescending and they pretend like you mean nothing to them and ignore you at times it's just absurd. That being said since this is my third issue with him in the past four months I will be reaching out to their headquarters to make official complaints on the store. It's very clear this team has checked out and could care less about the success of their business and the satisfaction of their customers. Where I come from, I would be fired in a day for that type of disregard for my customers.. don't come here, I'm begging you, go to the Arden fair store, or Roseville even. If the company couldn't see the situation I've experienced the past few months, they would be ashamed of themselves. Website, yelp, google say open at 10am. Drive across town to get here to find out they don't open until 11. I tried to tell the man inside through the locked door that I just wanted one hat and would pay cash. He responded with "we don't open until 11, I'm the owner we're not open." Their sales are not as good as they used to be and the selection is smaller. However, they do have an Emailing List you can sign up for & they will inform you of their sales. That's how I found out today was an Additional 40% off Clearance hats. I got a $28 Adidas GSW hat selling for $20 knocked down to $12. I got a $ 27 Adidas Sac kings hat selling for $ 10 for $6. Got a $ 40 NY Mets fitted hat selling for $ 10 sold for $6. The 2017 NBA Champions 5X Warriors hat $ 32, marked down to $ 10 for $ 6. When Lids clears their hats out, they got crazy nuts. read more

Great selection and excellent customer service. Really, what more can you ask for ? We find our selves mainly ordering on-line ( that's how we roll ), so when we need to return or exchange a lid, we take advantage of the local outlet shop. This makes things so convenient, and the staff at Lids has always been gracious and accommodating. ( Not always the case, when returning or exchanging an on-line purchase to a "brick & mortar" location ). They seem to have all the local teams and and many of the popular Major League teams from around the country. Always with the latest and "hippest" models. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll special order it with a quick turn-a-round. They often run sales and I've been pleased with the social media marketing they use to communicate those offerings. I'm sure as I grow "balder" I'll be buying more Lids, so I'm glad these guys are close by. read more
