Went backkkk to the same lids the "female manager" wasn't there and was able to exchange the hat this place is unreal

This Lids is always disappointing. No matter what time or day I try to come in they're either not inside the store for whatever reason or closed early. Came in today for example, and store says open for another two hours just for it to be closed. Shopping was unsuccessful smh. read more

Yesterday I came in with my dad and he is very particular about his hats. Freddy helped us and was awesome! Today I had to go back into the store due to my dad wasn't happy with the font, it didn't look how he wanted it. Isabella helped me, she was able to exchange the hat and redo the embroidery on it. The hat I had to get a little smaller than the perfect fit for my dad due to it's a popular size and this time it looks perfect! Thanks Isabella and Freddy! Great experience! read more

The only store in all of Reno/Sparks that has turned me away for no mask. I was in Scheels shopping for over an hour, the mall, Nike outlet, Defy, with no issue. Places like this sell hats, that's it. These are luxury items not necessities. People want to support places like this but when you refuse service with not a single customer in the store, we will go elsewhere. Nothing is sold in this store that anyone needs and that will be the downfall of Lids if they keep enforcing unlawful mandates. read more

TREATED HORRIBLY BY NEW STORE MANAGER ON FIRST PURCHASE AT LIDS. Hello I had my first personalized and first purchase with Lids this week and was treated horribly!! As I am writing this message and this email I am very saddened and embarrassed of the way I was treated and humiliated in your store in Sparks NV with new manager Freddy. I have two young teens one of them being my child and one of them a family member who saved money for their purchase. We went in on Thursday 8/11/22 for shopping at the Legends mall at the Lids Store located at 1310 Scheels Drive #154, Sparks, NV 89434. In the evening my teen A wanted personalization but the store had informed her that they wouldn't be able to personalize her hat because they were about to close. I told Teen A that she could get it personalized and we could come back the next day as they informed her they could get it completed the next day. We went back into the store this time accompanied by myself. Teen B wanted to also purchase a hat and personalize it. We had Freddy help us out. He was very friendly sold us on adding/buying the rewards program and we talked about a common sport we both liked. I asked him if his company offered sponsorships for youth programs and we talked about the details of personalization for both hats we purchased that night. He informed us they would be ready on Friday 8/12/22 for pick-up. I let him know we actually wouldn't be able to pick up until Saturday morning 8/13/22 because we lived in Carson City NV which is a 45 minute drive away from the store however, we would be back in the area on Saturday morning. Freddy the store manager was super friendly and told us to have a good night and we would see him Saturday to pick up the hats. On Saturday 8/13/22 at 12:26p.m. We walked into the store and Freddy was helping a customer and had a long line of customers. We told him we were there to pick up our hats. He said unfortunately he hadn't had a chance to personalize them and they were on the machine to personalize. He said he had to take his lunch and he would take his lunch right now and get them personalized for us and to return in 30 - 40 minutes later (so about 1:06- 1:16) . Again, we don't live in the area and had no other errands or shopping to do in the mall so my two teens and I went to have lunch at a restaurant next door. We had lunch and spent a $52 bill on lunch that we were not expecting to spend as we were planning to drive back home after picking up the hats. We ate lunch and walked back to the store at about 1:25p.m. when we walked in Freddy, the store manager was assisting customers. We waited in line for our turn. When it was our turn for him to help us he said he had not had a chance to personalize as he was very busy helping other customers and was unable to help us. I asked my two teens if they would like to keep the hats or not. My teen B did not wish to keep the hat without the personalization. I asked him to please give us a refund for the hat and personalizations that we paid. He asked for the receipts. I told him I never received a receipt from him and that we did have the receipts for the paid personalizations and he had the yellow receipts for the hats. He said he would try and look up the transaction number and process a refund. I reminded Freddy of the date and time I purchased the hat. He said he couldn't find it. I told him I was the last customer on Thursday night. He said I should have received an email. I looked in my email and there was no transaction on there. I asked him to please find the transaction so I could receive my refund in the amount of $71.22 as that is the amount that I was charged on Thursday night for the one hat and personalization. He said he was not able to find it and that I had to leave as he was unable to help me because he had other customers to help. I said I understand but I had already been a paying customer so he needed to refund my money for the product and personalization I paid for as it was a service and product that I was not receiving. He refused to help me and told me he did NOT HAVE TIME FOR ME and was unable to help me. I said I have the time, I will wait for you to find the transaction and help me. He started getting aggressive with his attitude towards me and said then I COULD WAIT UNTIL 9PM WHEN HE WAS DONE HELPING ALL HIS CUSTOMERS AND COULD MAKE TIME FOR ME. I said no that is not fair and I had been a paying customer and I mattered as a paying customer and I wanted to be helped. He said I needed to stop making it complicated and I needed to leave and MOVE OUT OF THE WAY SO HE COULD HELP OTHER CUSTOMERS. There was a line of other customers behind me. I had my two minor teenagers with me and he treated me like that in front of them. HE SAID THINGS WOULD NOT PLAY OUT WELL FOR ME WELL. I have footage of the situation as well. This place is awesome, great selection, huge clearance area where you can find a lot of older styles for cheaper! They also do amazing embroidery work. They do any hat even if its not bought in the store! Check them out! read more
