My only Vietnamese grocery store ! Local & fresh. I have been going here for over 10 years strong. Recommend for Asian products. Fresh exotic fruits seasonal available.

Very fresh produces , quality meat and have best local fruits in town. Recommend for everyone, especially for who out off town want to buy fresh fruits and cheap too.

This is a great Vietnamese grocery store. They have a lot of ingredients for Vietnamese cooking and snacks. It can get busy on the weekends so be prepared to rub shoulders with people in some of the isles. Prices seem on par with Tampa area Asian markets. They do have a nice selection of fresh cut meats and fish as well. The only knock was that when I was there on a Sunday afternoon, there was only 1 checkout register open and the line was pretty long.

If you don't speak the language , don't expect to get any help Next one of the worker left his cart blocking a fridge, we wanted to get drinks from inside , he stood there and wouldn't even move the cart, until my kid went to move it and he was upset that we move his cart, dam it we want to BUY some drinks from the fridge , I would have left without buying the whole cart of stuffs we have pick up , but we're on vacation so it's my wife that paid for our stuffs .

Great market for Asian items. It's specialty is Vietnamese items, but they carry a good selection of other items also. Great selection of refrigerated and frozen items and a HUGE selections of soups, noodles and rice. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies also... (great dragonfruit! Yum!) And a really nice fresh seafood section, and the fish and crabs look fresh too! If you like to cook Asian dishes, it is a great place to shop! They even have some of the basic ready to eat items, wrapped and ready to go for lunch and snacks!

I get all my ingredients for making Pho, Pad Thai, Thai Green Curry, Chicken Tom Yum, Mango Sticky Rice, etc. and ingredients are ridiculously cheap, so what more could you want? Go get shopping, cooking and creative in your kitchen! My love for this place will never falter. The staff keeps this place fairly clean and are always busy, so it can be a little bit of a challenge to get help. Honestly, this is more of a place where you take care of yourself and requires you to chase someone down if you have a question or two. You can purchase Pho starter kit for first timers. I prefer putting together my herbs because it's fun to do and I think it's cheaper, too! I love coming here to get my Pho ingredients (star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, coriander, fennel, cardimon pod, fish sauce, rock sugar, ginger, scallions, etc.) to make a satisfyingly yummy broth. Also, I'll pickup a couple pounds of beef bones (marrow, knuckle/leg bones/oxtail) for a rich flavor. For toppings, lime (Stable at my house!), cilantro, basil, bean sprouts are a must to complete the dish. I usually buy over 20 ingredients at this Asian market for a comforting, rich beef broth because this can be a one stop shop for making homemade Pho, which saves time! I get my glutinous rice along with full fat coconut milk and sugar, toasted sesame seeds or mung beans, from here to make Mango Sticky Rice and make it in a bamboo cone steamer, which they carry! These are the core ingredients I get: shallot, garlic cloves, stalks fresh lemongrass, shrimp paste, coriander, fresh kaffir lime leaves, fresh galanga (Thai ginger)...this is the basis you need for Thai dishes, especially when I make Chicken Tom Yum and Green Curry, but you would omit lemongrass and add tamarind along with other ingredients for Pad Thai, etc. You can get your fresh veggies and herbs at a really, really good price point along with ready to eat Vietnamese snacks to choose from, beef knuckles and organ meat as well as fresh seafood and there's even a small meat department. They have some nice fruits, too, stuff you don't see in a traditional grocery store!

    Fresh durian fruit. Delicious.

This market is very good for Vietnamese shopping and other Asian style cuisine. Mostly I love this store because they have FRESH Durian fruit. The staff is also very friendly, the young ladies are very helpful, if you need any help to choose a fresh fruit they are quick to get a knife and open part for you to see. Yes, there is some garbage outside sometimes on the ground, but that has nothing to do with the staff, that is just lazy people littering as they come or go. The store is quite busy so, I imagine they pick up the trash after a rush of customers is over.

Aloe drink , very good for digestion and these sweet cookie rolls are delightful and come in a few more flavors

This store has great selection of veggies , fish and many noodles for all the Thai cooking The store also has an aloe drink we all like that is natural from Vietnam , stocked up on that. Huge selection of fish that comes in fresh on Friday. I get all my vegetables here because they are fresher in the plastic bags and stay well in home fridge. Bags of sweet rolled jackfruit with black sesame cookies area weakness , and here I find lots of other flavors. The separate section has a good selection of cooking and serving bowls and spoons. I got a beautiful floor mat for the lanai.

Sua Dau Nanh (soy milk) if you haven't had this, do yourself a favor get a chilled can and kick back...

Some of the frozen goods didn't look properly maintained, and I was unsure about their freshness. Staff were polite but not very helpful.

Located on Waters just west of Dale Mabry, it's owned by the same folks at Saigon Deli and it's in the same strip center. This place in particular looks a bit sketchy when it comes to prepared foods, fresh meats and seafood. Be very observant, discerning and selective. The ambiance does not exude confidence. I do not touch the seafood here unless it's frozen. I avoid most of the meats and only buy the freshest. Tiny aisles give it a tight crowded vibe. You can, however, find just about anything your recipe calls for. It is much larger than it 1st looks, an entire large area of product is somewhat hidden off to the right past the entrance. Even as a seasoned and frequent shopper in Asian stores, there are a 1000 things that are completely foreign to me. I cook a lot of asian food but the main draw for me is fruits, veggies and pricing. Asian products in a grocery store can cost much less in these markets, not to mention better quality brands. There is a goldmine of vegetables that will expand your appreciation of greens but also an enormous variety that gifts a never-ending opportunity for discovery. I never stop asking questions even if we resort to sign language. I'll pick a vegetable and have them point at a meat that pairs well. Since I already do business at 2 places in this plaza, the market offers me the convenience of being nearby when I want products for my pantry or seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Well, they've earned their rating with good reason!…read more A friend and I went on a bit of an unplanned adventure yesterday as the first place we were going to go to was closed for an event. After driving 30 minutes to that place in Plant City and realizing this, we decided, "why not drive some more?". Josephine's was on my radar due to their great reviews across multiple platforms, so we drove another 20-30 minutes to check it out. We arrived at the unsuspecting strip plaza, walked in to what was just one well lit, cozy strip in the plaza and were immediately greeted by Robby, the owner, who asked us if it was our first time in. We let him know that it was, and he proceeded to educate us on everything they have to offer, from their bar, their sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, grocery and so on... the meatball sandwich was calling my name, along with their pizzas and their pastas - so many choices! I did land on the meatball sandwich and got a bag of chips and a glass of wine while my friend got the Italian salad and a coke. For note, this ran us about $45. It was well worth it. The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. Huge thanks to Robby and the team at Josephine's for knowing how to do things the right way. I'll definitely be back.

We stumbled upon Josephine's Italian Market, less than 15 minutes from our home, and it has become one of our favorite special-occasion spots. The market itself is such a fun experience. They have a thoughtfully curated selection of imported Italian products, a refrigerated and freezer section with prepared foods to take home, shelves of authentic pantry staples, a small espresso and Italian beverage bar, and a fantastic deli with fresh meats like prosciutto, capicola, and everything you'd hope to find in a true Italian market. One thing that really stood out was how welcoming everyone was. I brought my toddler with me, and instead of feeling like I was trying to juggle shopping while keeping him entertained, the staff genuinely embraced him. They were so kind and engaging that it made the entire visit relaxed and enjoyable. Now for the food... absolutely incredible. Their Hot Honey Pizza is easily one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy, and their authentic Italian sub is unquestionably in my top five ever. The chicken cutlets, salads, and other prepared foods have all been consistently outstanding. I also love browsing their selection of authentic Italian wines to take home. Is it more expensive than grabbing pizza or subs from a chain? Absolutely. But the quality, authenticity, and overall experience make it worth it. We don't think of Josephine's as an everyday stop--we think of it as our go-to place for special occasions, family gatherings, or anytime we want to treat ourselves to food that genuinely reminds us of Italy. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, exceptional sandwiches, outstanding pizza, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Josephine's Italian Market is absolutely worth the visit. We're so grateful to have a place like this so close to home!

Success!! This is my 2nd visit to Sultans Market, the last nearly 2 years ago. The guy that helped me is likely the manager or owner, I did not ask. But to my delight he was a friend of Chef Yousef and was able to direct me to the olives, zaatar and olive oil I needed to complete my mission. The olive oil was freshly pressed Palestinian Extra Virgen oil very high in polyphenols (43 X) for you health aficionados. Better, less expensive and larger quantity than the expensive "polyphenol-rich" version (34X) sold online and advertised in social media. It was a perfect match and compliment to the hummus. Also found a delightful jar of olives from Jordan, packed in olive oil with lemon, bay leaf and slightly zesty yellow pepper that paired nicely with my other ingredients. Then, the perfect resealable package of Zaatar to mix will the olive oil for dipping pita bread. Last I bought some halal mediterranean style seasoned chicken for the air fryer at home. The last picture shows the results of my adventure today, I can not believe how many olives I ended up eating! On my 1st visit shopping at this Mediterranean Market was an impulse for me as I drove down Busch this morning. A pleasant surprise for an adventurous cook. There was some beautiful fresh lamb. I bought cryovac greek olives, some Indian Spice, baklava, hummus, fresh zuchini and other items. I disliked the cryovac olives intensely, not sure of their purpose but avoid them. This place was well stocked, diverse, somewhat busy and fun to browse. A nice lady shopper volunteered cooking advice on items I bought. As I venture into that genre of cooking, this store is going to be essential with their treasure trove of spices, fresh halal lamb, veggies and halal chicken and myriad of other products. The more I learn, the more I like this place. One large advantage is the variety, cost, quality, scope and breadth of products compared to the tiny amount of shelf space dedicated to these items in a grocery store. A place to broaden your horizons. Come get ya' some!
