What should have been a respectful and comforting final farewell was instead an incredibly painful and distressing experience for our entire family. First, the presentation of my sister was completely unacceptable. Her makeup was poorly done and looked terrible, failing to reflect her true appearance at all. To make matters worse, the clothing her husband provided for her was noticeably dirty. The entire presentation looked like a complete rush job with absolutely no sense of care. Seeing her handled with such a lack of basic dignity was devastating to witness. Furthermore, the conduct of the staff during the service was deeply disrespectful. Our family was actually asked to move from the seating area where we were already gathered just to accommodate another family. Forcing a grieving family to relocate during a service is completely inappropriate, thoughtless, and entirely lacking in empathy. They completely failed my sister and our family.

Without our consent, they disposed of my brother's clothing, even though his case is under active investigation. When I reached out by email requesting clarification-specifically, who authorized this decision and where in their funeral policies it states that clothing can be discarded without family approval-Director Juan Carlos Carreño called me directly instead of replying in writing. He told me he would not provide anything in writing and claimed that "all funeral homes are allowed to do that. " He later stated that because the clothes were "soiled and had bodily fluids," it was "protocol." He was rude, yelled and hung up the call. Regardless of their explanation, no family should have their loved one's belongings discarded without their knowledge or consent, especially in a case involving an ongoing investigation. We have already filed a formal complaint with the Texas Funeral Service Commission regarding this matter. Families deserve transparency, respect, and professionalism during their most vulnerable moments-qualities we did not experience here! I never in a million years would have thought that my mother would only live to be 61 years old. To have her ripped out of our lives like this is simply indescribable. My family is new to Texas and was referred to sacred by a family member. In the black community who did the body is as important as thanksgiving mac n cheese. I'm So happy that we lucked up and got it right. When I say they did the body!!! They did the body. Sacred funeral home exceeded our expectations not only as a family but as a daughter who deeply loves their mother and only wants what's best for their mother. I am telling you this is the most professional staff that there is when it comes to funeral services. Every single person in that building is kind, professional and human. I felt there was no phony shield between the staff and I. They never once were annoyed by our entourage when I'm telling you I know we were being annoying. Lol especially writing that obituary and swapping our photos every 5 minutes. Or even having too many freaking photos. Not to mention showing up with almost 10-15 people each time we came. Not once did they complain. My mother was so important and everybody wanted to be apart of her last moments. They didn't shame us for this. Myron was like my right hand man. This man is a Jack of all trades. The daughter. We had a special moment together daughter to daughter. She allowed me to privately view my mom before my other family members arrived. She just understood that I needed that time alone with my mother. She understood that from a daughters perspective. None of us talked. Complete silence but in that moment she understood. No words were needed. Mr. dedrick restored my mother back to the point where it was hard to believe she was even gone. This man has the magic touch. He was made for this. It just felt like I knew these people, I felt like they were giving us special treatment but they weren't that just how they are, isn't that crazy? Then the singer/keyboard player I think his name was Jayson, omg he was like my best friend, he was funny he was kind he was compassionate. He was the absolute best. Going with them has been a huge mistake. For the record, the director Mr Jennings is not compassionate and I found him underhanded in his business dealings with our family.

To begin with, Billie looked like she was asleep in her final resting place....especially important considering how sick she had been. The casket was beautiful, the visitation was nice and respectful and the graveside service was perfect overall...again, especially considering it was done at 1:00 pm on a hot day. Everything was handled professionally. I know the family and all her friends appreciated this wonderful send-off to such a sweet lady. Condolences to all her family and friends!

Due to extraneous circumstances around my father's passing, the family member that was in state, was out of the country when he passed and there were delays in the family being notified that were out of state. The hospice he was at called this particular place to pick up my father. I wish I would have been able to intervene sooner. The level of professionalism just wasn't at any level I would call professional. The representative that we dealt with belonged on a used car lot, and not a reputable one. I really don't want to hear about stripper funerals when I am picking out urns and planning a service. He kept telling us the wrong amount for what was due after the initial costs of the cremation, etc. A check was written the day of the service for a remaining balance and then almost a month later, we were informed that we owed them the amount we were repeatedly told was already taken care of. I had asked my in town relative when I was in TX what the deal was, so I could handle it out of my father's accounts if needed, they didn't have the answers, so I relied on a proper accounting from the funeral home. Basically, it had to come out of pocket when a month ago it could have been taken care of in a different way that we no longer had access to. It was all paid, it was just basic misinformation, miscommunication, lameness on their part throughout the whole process. They found a reverend even though I had request that they did not, who just happened to be the reverend of the used car sales man funeral guy. My father's pastor was out of the country and I figured, better to have none then someone who did not know or care about him. The Stand in reverend they found used the wrong name of my father's mother even after I had asked him to read what I had written about my father seeing as he didn't even know him. That is always great during a memorial service, especially when you are paying this person, oh I mean "tipping" them and they basically refuse to read what you prepared then say the wrong name. After receiving the Death Certificate, I realize why he used the wrong name of my father's mother, because it was also wrong on the death certificate. It is not the name listed on my father's birth certificate. Another fail. He also told us the obituary had already been run, we did not even get a copy or link to it. But, it now ends up, they never ran the obit even after charging us for it. So, they are going to run it this Friday, a month after the funeral. Another epic fail on their part. I called the funeral director, Lee, to talk to him about this, to express my overall dissatisfaction. He came out of the gate funky; like he was put out that I would even try to have a conversation with him about anything I was unhappy with. I was cut off, over talked, disrespected and hung up on. I have a feeling that a lot of more mature "gentlemen" in Texas are old school and do not know how to discuss business with a woman respectfully. I was told that it was his "right" to continue to interrupt me. Great. I was told that what I was telling him was 100% wrong and when I asked if his accounting was 100% right, he said "absolutely". I really hadn't even been able to say a full two sentences at this point. Then, he started lighting in to me about the length of time that they had to hold my father and issues he evidently had about my sister being out of the country and not having access to reliable communication methods. He actually told me she could have sent a TELEGRAM. OK. Right. Because that is such a preferred method of communication. I am sure they charged us for the time my father was there, generously, and also it was almost impossible for me to get a timely call back when I did get in the mix and start dealing with them. The location is also in a industrial-ish, not so nice area with nothing around it but hospitals. Not nice at all. The overall appearance of the funeral home is tacky. Plastic columns and plants. I would not recommend them, at all. It was a clown show at best.

An hour earlier, I was over at Crown Hill Memorial Park for Bonnie Parker. There is a historical marker here which reads, "Located on part of the original William Coombs survey, burials in this cemetery date to the 1850s. Originally known at Troth, it was formally dedicated in 1881, when land was set aside for a "graveyard forever" by Z.E. Coombes and W.R. Fisher. Pioneers interred here include W.R. Fisher, Z.E. Coombes, John and Bosina Loupout, Mary Ellen Cole Tuggle, and Heinrich and Anna Struck. Also buried here are veterans of the Civil War and World Wars I and II, and Clyde and Buck Barrow. Trinity Oaks Church of Christ maintains the historic cemetery." Clyde Barrow's grave is towards the front of the cemetery, about in the middle. I've seen several reviews indicating that Western Heights Cemetery is inaccessible without having…read moreto climb fences, etc. I was able to walk right in at the entrance on Fort Worth Avenue near White Rhino Coffee (which is also a GREAT place to get coffee, pastries, sandwiches, etc.). The cemetery is now being very well-kept and volunteers have spent several years gathering information about the people buried there. If you can catch Van Johnson while he's there, he is more than happy to provide a guided tour that includes detail about not just the cemetery and those interred there, but also the history of the surrounding area. There are also a number of events held at the cemetery, typically around holidays (e.g. Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, Independence Day) honoring those who are buried including veterans of WW's 1 and 2 as well as the Civil War.

I would never ever say anything so hurtful to anyone in my life. I met Christie K. Moore at a professional training. When my mother passed on 03/31/23 I contacted her to help with the arrangements. I met with Myeshia and paid $12,0018 for the arrangements, travel to Tulsa, and the burial plot. When we go to the graveside gazebo, my mom was already there waiting on us. After the celebration, they put my mom in a white van that had trash inside. They drove her to her final resting place and pull her out of the back of a white van with trash on the inside of it. Every funeral I have attended had a hearse, but my mom was pulled out of a white van with trash. At no time was I told the service car would be a van. I spoke with the man who came from Texas and said, why wasn't my mom in a hearse, why you pulled her out of a van? This is terrible. He said, "I am sorry, if you wanted a hearse, I could have gotten you one." Why wouldn't I want a hearse, it's a funeral. They were not packing meat across state lines. I then sent Christie a message about my embarrassment and heartbreak the same day of the funeral. She responds we can talk, so on today, we talked. I told her how I felt and that I couldn't sleep because it was so disrespectful for my mom to be in the back of a dirty van. I also stated Tulsa was my mom's hometown and I was so embarrassed. I told her, I can only bury my mom once, we can't redo this and I feel very embarrassed because this is a funeral and we did not expect nor were we told that she would be in a van. She again said I am sorry, we believe in excellence, etc. At no time, did she offer any refund or anything, just an apology. When I asked what would you want to happen if you were in my place.
