By Far my favorite thrift store in NYC. It's a charity and the volenter staff are all so nice, they are happy to help and know the store well. I got some lovely pencil skirts there. Ah...I have a new addiction...and it's consignment shopping... First time there, they were having a 50% off sale on everything (yay my lucky day) and I bought seemingly new kenneth cole jeans, Marc Jacob flats that are so freaking cute, and a rose pendant necklace. I also tried on this spectacular vintage dress just for fun! It may not be the most organized, especially the bottom floor where I was extremely overwhelmed, but they put out all the stuff from new shipments on the first floor...and the prices are unbeatable! read more

RACIST! I was waiting at the register, ready to purchase well over $100 of merchandise but not one staff member rang me up, after standing there for over 10 minutes. Both employees were standing behind the counter, simply ignoring me. This isn't the first time such an experience has happened at this establishment, and at this point it seems like they are discriminatory against race. read more

Amazing! Favourite thrift store here in Brooklyn so far! I went in their summer sale which had a whole $1 rack and most other things for $5 with a 30% discount ?? Managed to get 2 tops, Ralph Lauren shirt and pair of jeans for $14 total! All items are very good quality, lots of variety & some amazing designer brands eg: Versace dress for $50. Only con - everything was packed very tightly so hard to be able to see everything well but that's part of the thrifting experience. read more

What a great experience it was to stumble on that store. Was visiting my sister in downtown Brooklyn and we passed it. Of course I had to stop in to look around. Great selections and prices. I've always found my favorite designers in their best decades at Life Boutique -from 90s Versace to 80s Valentino and so many cute printed DVF wraps. I think this store has so much range, and you constantly see stylists and fashionable types looking for unique pieces for upcoming shoots -always a good sign shopping in NYC. Not to mention, the jewelry is on point, the $5 wrack is always stocked with good finds, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. read more

I generally prefer to reach out to a business rather than leave negative feedback, but as they have no way of reaching them other than calling, I felt it necessary. I have lived in the neighborhood for 11 years and have donated to and purchased from LTB easily over a hundred times. Each time I am struck at how the employees get a little ruder each time and how absurd some of the pricing is. It has finally reached a boiling point. I am stunned at how nasty they can be. Long story short, I tried to purchase a coat that was in terrible condition. It had holes, missing buttons, and the lining was shredded. The purchase was so that I could refurbish the coat to give to someone in need. I don't have much money these days, but I can donate my time and skills so I was prepared to get something cheap that needed extensive work. I asked about the price as it didn't have a tag. It was taken out of my hands and as she walked away from me, she said I would have to come back the next day. Frustrating but okay, that's policy so I accept it. This morning, I rearrange my day so that I am there at 11am, standing in the freezing rain. They didn't open the doors for another 10 minutes, despite people standing in the rain waiting. I go to the coat and find that it has been priced at $49. It is falling apart and not worth half that, but they knew I was coming in for it. When I asked about it, I was rudely dismissed with a couple of words by a different woman than I had dealt with before. She didn't even stop to look at me before brushing me off. Just walked right by. I left the shop freezing, soaking wet, and completely defeated. I will remember this terrible experience and others like it before donating or purchasing anything from LTB again. read more

I introduced a friend of mine to Life Boutique today. I actually stopped at both stores. First, the one closer to Bergen street then onward to their signature store on 13 street. I tend to find more items at the 13 street location. There, the young women who work so hard have a friendlier vibe even when they are overwhelmed with so much going on in the store. I do have to say when I visit the other store there is a more up-tight vibe. Well... I am not there to make friends, I just want to find a good deal. The manager does her job and is always nice when I make a purchase. Sometimes I feel she is working so hard trying to make everything look nice that it reminds me of myself at my store. A hamster on a wheel. No matter where I am there she is organizing and moving about. Actually, I look forward to visiting both stores. My friend who was visiting from Trinidad actually loved both stores and I found her chatting with Miranda at the counter. As we walked out she smiled and said "I Love Brooklyn". read more

I'm the kinda girl who loves dresses and Life Boutique has a large selection to choose from. I love how this store is so organized dresses are line up in color order. The prices may be a little higher then other thrift shops but I don't mind because of the unique collection. The staff is pleasant, I'm so glad I found Life Boutique. read more

I love this as a place to donate my clothing to. The people there are super nice and appreciative of the donations, and I get a tax write off. The store is beautifully arranged and there is a nice atmosphere. It's more expensive than the average thrift shop but you can also find fancy, cool things here. read more

Staff are ridiculously rude every time I go in here, i had to come leave a review bc customer service really matters when shopping. Please train staff or get new ones that are more friendly, this place could feel so much better with the right staff. Upstairs is over priced, downstairs actually has some good bargains which is the only reason I've visited the times I did. read more

I'm actually embarrassed that after all of the hours of shopping time I invest in Park Slope, I have never wandered off into this place. I've got to admit, their front window is always fancy and gave me the impression that it might be extremely pricy. However, with the exception of the "Real Gucci" bag (as the cashier explained to me) for $599, many items here were cool and very reasonable! I found a cool army fatigue-esque colored leather shirt for just 18 bucks. I will definitely be back. read more

A good thrift store with designer stuff, great jewelry, home decor stuff and good rotating inventory. Fairly priced, has some good vintage and home decor. Not a ton of men's stuff. Jewish/ Sabath hours and observant of all holiday's. read more

This is a very organized and nice-looking shop, the employees are friendly (I chatted with three different people, all very pleasant and cheerful), and it was a breeze to donate clothing. They accept all types of clothing, not just vintage, and they offer value documentation for tax deduction purposes. Vintage, nicer pieces upstairs, and thrifty items downstairs, including a decent selection of slightly worn shoes. Overall, I'm a fan and will be returning to donate and shop again. read more

A pretty good store. Tons of items are $5. Most of the stuff is vintage or from the '90s. Mostly women's, there's very little men's stuff.

I've been to their other location and I love shopping there. They have an awesome $5 rack with steals. The staff is lovely and the store is clean and quiet. You can tell they care about the place in which they work. I try to stick with lower cost items but if you're heavy into brand names you can walk out with good quality while having spent very little money. read more

I am extremely annoyed with the customer service. I had went in the beginning of last month inquiring about an item in the display window and was told i was not able to purchase it until the end of the month. Which i understood. However I went in yesterday again inquiring about the same item and now was told i had to put my name on a list for the item. When I mentioned that i was not told this previously the sales woman just bull it off and rudely told me that policy changed. I did put my name on the list anyways however, I really feel some employees need a lesson on customer service and etiquette on how to speak to people. read more

It's more than vintage, it rockssss!! I've just discovered that they also have an entire book section of THE most awesome books..for like a buck!! Like...SWEEET!
