As always, Lifetime Fitness blows away my expectations!! I travel across the country for work, usually I'm in a city for 3 weeks and then I move on. I usually try to find a Lifetime Fitness as the staff are super nice, always smiling (With the exception of one person here-there's always that one guy) The facilities are 2nd to none. Hot tub and sauna and always top notch at Lifetime Fitness which I double down on daily. Never in line for a treadmill- I run quite a bit including speed workouts. Rock climbing, basketball courts and your large assortment of classes which I like to partake in (C9 and Barbell Strength are tops). Locker rooms are nice and plentiful- never have to run into a naked person on accident ;0 and they always have a steam room in the locker rooms as well. Swimming pool and Aquatic center are great- I don't use too often. Did I mention the staff minus one are top notch? Supper nice and helpful! So whether it's a two week pass for $50 or absolutely free (2week pass), Lifetime Fitness and their staff have never disappointed! read more

Nice staff always greet you with smiles. Clean indoor and outdoor pools. All the facilities are well maintained. The only disadvantage is there are too many kids here for summer camp. And the change room can get a little noisy with teenagers compare to non-summer vacation. read more

After signing up for this gym and spending a pretty penny to get my health on track. I was mortified to have to go back and forth with an employee after locking myself out of my locker. While other members were passing by I had to repeatedly explain every detail of a Nike gym bag with a pair of slides and a bottle water inside. Not very diverse, little regard for Covid-19. Billing is atrocious. They continued to bill me MONTHS after I canceled. I'd been a customer for 2 years, paid faithfully. Then my cancellation form conveniently disappears when I was told it would be emailed as they couldn't give me a printed copy. I dispute the billing error with my cc company as they won't provide me with a copy of cancellation form I signed. They "claim"it never happened. Credit card company dispute states they provided docs that did NOT INCLUDE my cancellation. Different people there all the time, manager not available, etc. so resolution nene happened. Corporate customer service is slightly better, and at least stopped billing. But NO REFUND of my months of fees they charged to my cc. I would NOT RECOMMEND. I've never had this issue with any company I've done business with in my life. When I called in December to try again to fix the issue the person on the phone thought I was put on hold and muttered several expletives about being "busted over this". The facility is great, but they are unethical pertaining to the way they deal with the financial transactions. Don't risk your money being stolen when you try to cancel membershio. read more

This is the first LifeTime fitness I have joined & it has exceeded all my expectations. The staff is a joy to be around, always helpful. & the gym itself (locker rooms, common areas, gym floor, machines etc) is always held to an A++ standard. Their rates are a tad higher than your traditional gym.. hence my hesitation, but if your on the fence about purchasing a membership- DO IT. Life Time is heads above it's rival chains. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were overcharged for items and billed for months when our account was supposed to be on hold. Provided Dr note for surgery for account hold and a email, yet the letter was conveniently misplaced and since the employee who took it has left and they will not honor the email they have refused to refund our account. We were told that people lie to put there accounts on hold while I was sitting there with all our letters and insurance billings from the 2 neck surgeries in 4 weeks. Being called a LIAR was our final straw. Company is obviously in financial distress as they don't care about their clients. read more

Seriously! It is like an Organic Sports Bar on Crack While you work your way towards a Perky Butt and Ripped Abs. Staff is hit or miss. Locker Rooms are Mostly Clean. Parking is easy. Wish the GX Rooms were bigger...but the Equip at this location is rather pimp! Ok Gym, My problem with it is that the family changing room sign states "for use by parents with opposite sex children only" but apparently its ok for everyone to cut through every 5 minutes on the way to the pool or tennis courts. Sometimes when its crowded and the changing rooms are full parents will have to change their kids in the open exposed to a steady stream of non family members walking through. I have complained to 4 different staff but nothing has been done about it.. read more

I would say Lifetime is pretty awesome! I loved coming here as a kid, they would have everything you would want to do. My father use to play racket ball every week here. I use to go swimming a lot here too. But the prices are crazy high and even if you cancel your plan for a couple months they will charger you still. read more

I love this gym. First off, the staff is really friendly. The gym is very clean, and the towels are always well stocked. I work out in the early mornings, when the crowd is mainly people who are trying to get fit before work. You do see some high school/college students working out in the mornings as well, but they're generally serious about what they're doing. In the evenings it can get a little busy, but at least as far as cardio equipment goes, there's so much, you never have a long wait. The classes are amazing, and well worth the upgrade in price for membership at the gym. I also like the convenience of the LifeCafe. Their grab and go meals are tasty, and a quick and healthy option for lunch. read more

Awesome pedicure! Ask for Kathleen...she does a French pedicure freehand. Never saw that before! Everything was clean, fragrant and they even use disposable scrubbing tools. Extremely disappointed in the ability to get infant reservations during the weekday morning hours. I would recommend that anyone with a child under 12 months NOT join this club. Not family friendly to those with little ones. I would suggest that the Lifetime staff take a look at Clubsport in Pleasanton, California. That is what you should strive for. They don't make families with infants jump through hoops just to work out. read more

I've been a Lifetime member for the past 7 years/5 different LTF due to job relocations. This club is for the most part surface clean. I wish someone would put up a sign or two reminding members to wipe down machines but I've been told it doesn't blend with the "lifetime landscape/atmosphere." I want to exercise and not worrying about what I might be catching from the last machine user. The group fitness classes are busy and the mid-day moms are VERY territorial over "their spot". If you end up becoming a member, make friends FAST. It's the only way you will ensure yourself a spot and proper equipment. I prefer the early morning class (530) but they are still busy. I've asked to change up the schedule and add more strength classes on M,W,F but was told they pull from other classes...i.e. spin and Yoga. Interestingly enough the department head just started so she is pulling old info. Dare to stand out and improve! If you enjoy aquatics, you are better off going to your local pond. The pool is poorly maintained, broken tile litters the pool deck and often finds it way into the water...mainly the kid area. I'm waiting for a child to step on a sharp piece of tile. I've seen it happen to adults. The water often has old bandaids and hair ties scattering the bottom. Maybe they use the garbage as treasures for the swim kids to find. I don't know but its gross. Recently, the pool had such bad algae the surface was stained and the swim classes had to be relocated. Mmm, algae. Personally, I'd like to know when the last time the operational manager actually went into the water from one end to the other. Seems like it would be a good idea. So, moms. The childcare center is under your own risk. It is not state regulated and they try to have 1 adult for every 12 kids under 3. I can barely keep my eyes on my 2 nevermind 12. The workers are friendly and very social media focused. Many times I would walk in their only to see the front desk person checking on FB. The staff watching over the kids tend to pick favorites and hold them so if your child isn't a fan of under staffed child care, you will be called down to face your crying child sitting in the corner by him/herself. The café has great, healthy food if you need something quick but make sure to bring lots of money because everything is WAY overpriced. I tend to leave and go to Starbucks for my coffee if that says anything.... Overall, I'd say try it but bring your own hand santizer because they often run out and you never know what you're leaving with. read more

I joined lifetime when I moved to TX two years ago and it has been such a blessing. Will Leschber handled our membership. The employees at lifetime have become friends and the trainers give constant advise without trying to constantly sell us something. The Plano location even does great haircuts. If you are looking for an upscale gym, especially if you have kids, look no further. Highly recommend the diamond membership. Preferred parking and have my own locker. read more

I spoke with someone who pretended to be the general manager I asked for and was assured my member ship was now cancelled. 5 months later they continue to charge my card and made me come in to another location again to cancel. I love this gym. They have a lot of equipment and plenty for everyone! The pools are great -indoor/outdoor as well as hot tub, sauna, & eucalyptus steam room. We have been members for a year now. A fabulous place for kids! As for the swimming programs, the instructors are not inexperienced as you might find at some city-sponsored centers etc. They are highly experienced, skilled swim coaches and instructors who are encouraging for the kids and know how to help them advance to the next level. There's swim lessons for younger kids (fantastic instruction!) and then it moves up to Developmental (focus on stroke skills, coach is often in the water helping with stroke), then Bronze, then upper levels. Great summer camp options, awesome indoor-outdoor child care center. You can get your hair done in the salon while your kids are in the child center! My main concern with the design of this facility is that there is a steady stream of solo men walking through the FAMILY changing area as a short cut to get to the pool, causing traffic jams and an uncomfortable atmosphere. This already-tight space is for families with kids. I wish this could be better enforced. Otherwise, not a deal breaker as we love all the opportunities at Lifetime. read more

I haven't been able to sign up for a gym membership yet however, I HAVE been to the spa located inside the gym. Here I went to see Tocco who has never disappointed. First off the spa is spotless and as I was sitting in the chair the ladies were constantly walking around and cleaning every inch of that place. They were constantly making sure I was comfortable and offered beverages throughout my time there. The atmosphere was amazing with music playing softly in the background. Great conversation and amazing results with my hair color and cut! I absolutely love Tocco who not only does an amazing job on my hair, but she also helps walk her clients through what their vision is and what would be a great style for their hair. I completely trust her opinion and trust her ability! I'll definitely be coming back to see her for all my hair needs! read more

Working out is part of my life style! And its part of me! I can't live without going to the gym. Keeping my body & my mind healthy & happy is very important to me! I love coming to lifetime fitness for my daily work out routine. I love the fact that they have great gym with a lot of equipments. I can enjoy Lifetime indoor and outdoor pool in addition of dry sauna and steam sauna. it also has a basketball, tennis, racquetball courts and rock climbing area for people that like to do other sport. The day care is the plus too, for those busy mom that still willing to take care of them-self. Its just a great combo of everything there. Great food, salon, and spa! read more

This gym is more like a country club, you have everything you could ever ask for. Never have to wait on cardio equipment as there is so many, lots of classes to choose from including hot yoga, Pilates, spin, weight classes. Basketball courts, tennis courts and a rock climbing wall. My son loves the kids club and the adventure camps in the summer. read more

I almost gave up hope until I was working out in the club and met Andrea in the locker room. She convinced me to come into the salon and now all my prayers have been answered! Andrea cut and hi-lighted my hair and it has never looked better! The color was perfect and she has given me the best haircut of my life! Beware if you have an infant! Infant center doesn't have a padded floor! There's a unbelievably thin carpet on top of concrete! And as you know if you have an infant who's not a great walker yet....my daughters head hit the floor and I had to watch a huge bump grow on her head while she cried! Although I've been a Lifetime member for almost 4 years, I visited the Spa for the first time today. After my workout yesterday I walked into the spa to get pricing for a facial. The price list I was given listed the "Signature Facial" at $64. "Good price," I thought. I made an appointment for today. The therapist was nice but her technique was sub par. She told me the things she would be doing so I asked her if there was an additional charge. She said, "I was told to give you the Signature Facial." I told her the price list said $69. In actuality, it said $64. So, after receiving the facial, I was a bit disappointed. Her technique was equal to someone that just graduated from Ogle, not of someone with much experience. No big deal. I thought I would try out a different technician on my next appointment. When I went to check out I was asked where I saw a price of $69. I went to the counter and picked up the price list I was given the day before. I opened it and I saw my mistake. It said $64. I was then told that their facials start at $94.00! Really? I've had some awesome facials at some great places in Dallas and I didn't pay $94! This facial was mediocre, at best, and I was at a gym! Not a real Spa! They ended up charging me $69 since I was mistaken and told them the price list said $69. The facial was listed at $64. They held me to the price I THOUGHT I READ! I feel that Lifetime shows the lower price list to get you in the door, then they squeeze you for $30 more! Needless to say, future trips to Lifetime will be for WORKING OUT! NOT getting a facial. Does anyone know a place in the Southlake-Colleyville area that does great facials at a decent price? I'd love to hear about them. read more

I had been a member for several years at Lifetime in Colleyville. The gym was very well maintained, staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, I had to cancel my membership, as advised, 30 days prior and was still charged for the next month. I contacted the gym, spoke to the account manager that closed my account and said she would talk to her manager to correct the issue. I have been waiting a week and still no one has contacted me. Very disappointed and angry that I am of no value now that my membership has closed. read more

The Colleyville, TX Training Lead Matt told me I could sign up for one month training with Gloria and I would not be charged for a second month until I knew I wanted to continue and I got to try it. Then they charged the second month. The Head of the Training Manager Jay didn't care what Matt had told me. They over charged me by nearly 500.00 for training sessions they never performed. Then they tried to say I "no showed" the training which is just false. I was traveling and have the text messages to show where Gloria and I spoke by text. The gym is physically really nice but the people who work there try to get you to sign all these "extra" contracts for services so they get you on auto-draft. I was a member once before when something similar happened. My three teenagers asked me to give them another try. I wish I hadn't. They verbally mislead you and then scream "contract" when you ask for a refund of unused services. If I could tell everyone I know, I would go somewhere else because this place has high turnover and they are shady to get every penny they can from you. I've worked in membership services for years, and this is not how you treat people. I will be calling my attorney. read more

Tried Zumba classes. They are fairly advanced and geared towards those in their 20's who like to shake it like Miley or krunk it and booty pop....(this is the place to be for all things funky and hip hop. What's cool is it's like being in the club (only difference is there is no alcohol and no lines for the bathrooms) and nearly every current hip hop club move is represented in the class for you to try and duplicate....badly.) And there is as much ass shaking as well as a few moves I used to see years ago on the stripper pole...that you never wanted to see a non professional attempt. (Because its all about that bass.) It's a brave new world at LTF Colleyville...so you might as well bend over and drop it like it's hot and shake it till you break it. Warning...Over 40 something's may actually break it. Make sure you're paid up with blue cross and you'll be al-right. Wow!!! Everyone's kickin it LTF style. read more

I have been a member of Lifetime since 2007. The only reason I joined the gym is to use the outdoor lap lanes. I love being able to swim outside. Who doesn't? Unfortunately since I joined I've noticed that the pool seems dirtier every year. I'm pretty sure they have a vacuum but it is obviously not a tool that the 20 or so life guards are familiar with. I swam at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and was disgusted. It looked like someone had thrown a beach party in there complete with sand and band aides. All it was missing were the empty beer bottles. I would understand a dirty pool by the end of the day. I have one of my own and know what it looks like after a party but this was disgusting by my own admittedly low standards. I have been trying to convince my husband to join but after my last few swims I realize that is out of the question. Then to top it off I went to swim this afternoon and was told that the entire outdoor area was reserved for a private party. The lap pool was completely empty...who swims laps at a party? Luckily one of the lifeguards let me swim anyway since the party was ending in an hour. However, I don't think the most expensive gym in the area should be so hard up for money that they rent out the entire outdoor area for parties. I guess our membership fees aren't high enough? I will be looking for a new outdoor pool and some place that is actually a gym. I don't have a season pass to NRH2O for a reason. I thought I was joining a gym. read more

Here's my point of view. My work outs consist of mostly Super-sets, Negative sets (all Free weights), mixed with a little cardio. I don't need a gym full of stuff I don't use. Having said that, this gym is chalk full of stuff I didn't need. Their cardio room has no set lay out. The Tv's seem to be 1/4 mile from where the equipment is. They have a ton of sit down machines. If you like to sit down, then this is the dream gym for you. I would say they have a good 5 racks of free weights. And a gym that size, I think, should have way, wayy more than that. Yes the locker rooms are 5 stars. Cafe is more of a food cafe than protein shake, muscle growth stop. They only have like 4 shakes you can buy. If you want a place to do activities I suggest you enroll at your local Rec or YMCA. For the price, distance, foot traffic and luxuries it just wasn't worth it for me. I got a week pass. My employer was paying for the Lifetime membership, I only had to pay $30 additionally. Which i though a good deal. I moved out of state. And my employee decided to go with different club. I got email notice from Life time on September 30th that since now on I will be charged full price. Called immediately. They would not cancel it over the phone. They can only do it in person. At my new place, nearest Life time location is an hour away. So I have to wait for the weekend to drive an hour to club and hour back just to give notice. Happens to be that i didn't make it before October 1st, they they charged me 107 on October 1st and told me they will charge on November again because I gave notice after October 1st. I talked to manager trying to explain that i would not be even use club because its an hour away and they already charged me $107 for the month of October, which I wouldn't be able to use. No sympathy from manager side. All standard phrases like she was reading from the paper. No willingness to work with me. So my recommendation to everyone - cancel!!! as fast as you can because they would do everything to rip you off. read more
