They will let students into the DC program with any undergraduate degree and advise you that you don't need any prerequisites because the program will start from the ground up. It's a lie. I agree with the other reviews- they don't care to listen to student concerns, some professors are awful and disrespectful (though a few are great). They know the program is completely overwhelming and stressful, and don't do anything about it. There are too many shitty administrators in high positions. The sports are great, the classes are good, the administration is awful (4.5 stars, 3.5 stars, 0 stars. We eventually encouraged our daughter to go elsewhere, which she did -- just got fed up with trying to get a counselor to call her back and answer her questions. Typically the counselor would respond to about every 3rd or 4th email, 3-5 days later with "I just got your email". Then set up an appointment for 2-3 weeks later ...which usually had to be rescheduled for another time a week later ...and then the results of the meeting were mediocre at best. A couple times our daughter was stood up. I couldn't even get through to unenroll her. This set up may work for an adult going back to school who knows how to knock down doors and be heard. It definitely is NOT a school for a true freshman that is venturing out on their own for the first time. read more

Cons: The dorms at the Commons are a nightmare, and I would not recommend them to anyone 1. Extremely loud all the time to the point the noise wakes you up. No on respects quiet hours. I had to purchase ear plugs just to go sleep. 2. Housing always wants to charge you for something or increase fees. They sent an email saying they will charge everyone if they keep getting complaints about the restroom being dirty. As if it's not the cleaning crew job to clean the bathrooms. 3. Mainteance is the worst. They restrained our dorm room AC unit, making the rooms very hot and cold, when they want. They close out work orders as completed that aren't completed. 4. Extremely small dorm rooms. 5. Very thin dorm walls, can hear everything 6. Community style bathrooms, that are always dirty, uncleaned and gross. Who wants to come to college and have a community style bathrooms 7. Housing "higher ups" say they will meet with you then when they are suppose to the stop responding to your emails. 8. Alot of unhealthy snacks at refuel station 9. Transloc is not accurate and hard to track 10. Expensive city(ubers) 11. Professors like Ortherio Goodwin you have to email 3-4 times for a response back 12. LVR only for Doctor students. Should be an exception for people at a certain age, like 30 years and older 13. The University rents the field by the Track out to any and everyone, to point Track athletes can't even get access to the track and field stadium on weekends to workout sometimes 14. Track needs to be replaced, causes knee pain and shin splints 15. Serbian soccer athletes have taken over the main area. Turning it into a soccer field at night. Always rearranging the furniture. leaving the place extremely dirty and wont even fix it back. They are always shouting and talking so loudly. It's a pain even working with them in the cafe. 16. You have to call or text the RA'S every night for peace and quiet 17. People running up and down the hallways, shouting, cursing, disturbing the peace. The students at the Commons act as if this is their individual home, and aren't living with others. 18. The cleaning staff never clean inside the showers. So they are always dirty from people using them daily. Hair in showers, tissue paper on the floors. people smoking in the bathroom, Soap dish area has dirt build up. Some shower curtains have mildew on them and are never washed. 19. Some of the restrooms are out of order and mainteance has yet to fix them, it's been months. 20. I am an international student athlete & it sucks that international students are forced to take atleast 2 classes on campus. 21. Everything is far away. you need a car in this city, not a bicycle. 22. Alot of fruits with no seeds, so no real fruits. 23. Sometimes, some staff can come off racist. Pros 1. Athletic Trainers/Chiropractics are phenomenal 2. Dining center food is great, but they do fall short on a few things 3. Beautiful Campus, nature scenery, a bit big 4. Your individual coaches and teammates 5. Alot of resources to help you(counseling, orthopedics etc.) 6. There is a Fitness Center and student athlete gym 7. For the most people are very helpful 8. A few healthy snacks at the refuel station (possible bars) Socrates and Starbucks on campus 9. On campus work for students but the pay is low. read more

We were honored to have gotten a tour of the campus by my soon to be sister-in-law. I actually walk around and see what Life University is like. After the tour, or walk around, I got the sense that this University is a very forward thinking and accepting of all walks of life. Did I mention they have Gender Neutral bathrooms? Ok,, let's get on with the campus,,, we went for a stroll on the trail that runs along the military base. Seems as the trail is pet friendly because we came across someone walking their dogs along. The trail connects to their field as well, where there's work out stations every 100 feet or so. Then their track was very nice and well kept. We even did a bit of tire flipping and gave it a go in the track. The trail continues on as well to some sort of a preserved village. Something of a, "how things were way way way way way way way back in the days," when they churned their own butter sort of stuff. On the way there, we even saw a crane with magnifiscent wing span. Yes, we took pictures by all the cool sculptures and fountains as well. Then the highlight of our visit was when we got to take a picture with the pin. I think that very sculpture is the very definition of Life University. Anyways, we had a lot of fun touring the campus. It's very nice and it's very neat to see the grounds. We only go to college maybe once or twice in our lives, but if given the chance. I would proably enroll here because it's that awesome. Did I mention about the Gender Neutral bathrooms? That to me says forward thinking, acceptance and TRUE LOVE for everybody and anybody. Life University is awesome!! And thank you very much for letting us tour your campus. read more

Don't believe the 5 stars at lifeU. Not true at all. Some of professors here do not care about students or there education. Rude and disrespectful won't even answer emails from students. Laugh at students when they don't understand or fail a test. Compliants are not taken seriously. No accountability but you want students to be accountable. It's a joke parents spend way too much money here to not have our students get what they need from the people who are supposed to be helping. I graduated from Life College in 1996. Since then the school has evolved quite a bit and added a University status. Life has always been grounded in very firm chiropractic philosophy with a focus on technique and adjusting skills. The best chiropractors I have met have come through this school with the absolute best adjusting skills due to the exposure the students get to a multitude of techniques in the class room, practicums and the student technique clubs. If you want to learn how to be a great chiropractor with fine tuned adjusting skills then Life University is for you. If you want to be a medically oriented Chiropractor, then go elsewhere. read more

Complete waste of time and $. Nothing but an Inconsistent, overwhelming, and broken academic system that is designed to make students endure maximum suffering until you realize how much money they siphoned from you. Crappy housing filled with cockroaches and mold. The amount of maintenance requests are abysmal. Academic staff seem to only care about boasting about buying new Ferraris and serving themselves instead of the students who are barely getting by to make ends meet in the current economy we're in. Any issue brought up by students is met with cold indifference and lack of understanding, respect, or empathy to any circumstance the students go through. They make you schedule an appointment only to be told "you're just lazy, you don't care enough, or condescendingly tell you that you should have known in class and remind you how stupid you are compared to them. Professors will flat out tell or gaslight you into dropping courses or program if you don't like it. My experience consisted of about getting less than 24 hours of sleep per week to study before, during, and after class to meet their standards. The university preaches about student accountability and integrity to their students yet staff and administrators are seemingly not held to the same regard. Unless you can afford $200k+ in student loan debt or apart of a family of multi generational chiropractors with a reputable last name. I would not invest your hard earned money into this dumpster fire they call a program. You will be largely ignored, distrusted, and made to feel constantly inept. Save your time, money, and mental health and put it toward a program that will help build a worthwhile career instead throwing away at this university. read more

What wonderful changes on the campus since I graduated: technology, esthetics, housing, parking, and to me most importantly...quality educators and educational programs/degrees. I highly recommend this institution. Not only for the academia, but for the purpose: to love, to give, to serve out of our abundance. When I went to school at Life U it was a mess. They mixed up my student loans with other students. I just recently paid off a student loan and ECSI and Life U. failed to report it as paid off. I am now getting collection calls. I called Life University regarding this issue and in the last month they have still not returned my calls. Since graduating, I have sent three people to Chiro school and did not recommend any of them go to Life. read more

Recommend taking a tour of the campus, catching a Rugby match or experiencing the Lights at Life during the winter Holidays as the entire campus is filled with beautiful Christmas lights. I have been in practice for 8 years and an alumni of Palmer Florida. I have toured this campus several times and have taken many classes and seminars here. It is a beautiful campus.However it only gets 3 stars since it decided to hire Vinnavadi Ravikumar as a toxicology professor. I had this man in Palmer Florida and his grading schemes were questionable. What I find funny is that Life decided to hire someone to teach TOXICOLOGY who smokes more cigarettes than a chimney! read more

I met a bunch of friends at a Halloween party and they happened to be Life students. Life University is a Chiropractic school that allows the students who are in their final year, to adjust patients with Dr supervision. That being said, I got adjusted for several months at Life and it was GREAT! And it was so cheap!!! They worked wonders on my neck and lower back pain. Check it out! read more

Despite tolerating some rather bizarre opinions among its staff (the sign, in my mind, of a truly inquiring academic institution which is not slavishly devoted to orthodoxy), I was able to learn excellent diagnostic and treatment skills. In the 28 years I have been practicing, I have helped thousands of people, including hundreds who were unable to find any help from orthodox medicine. With the diagnostic skills I began to learn at Life, I have made tricky diagnoses like MS, disseminated lymphoma, acoustic neuroma, and pituitary adenoma, which were missed by patients' MDs, and I have saved a few lives. I love the beauty of Life. I also love it for making people think twice about getting caught up in a life filled with dependence on drugs and surgeries. The horrible problem with Life is that most of its graduates will leave the profession within 5 years and also chiropractic graduates have a very high amount of loans that are in default. The degree can not be used for anything else either. A $200,000 education with an average associate getting paid around $30,000 is not a good trade-off. I even heard the head of the college say multiple times that the average chiropractor gets paid well over $200,000 a year. This is laughable. Just realize what you are getting into beforehand. Some people make it work but the majority end up hating their decision (and not just because of money problems). read more
