We have had a wonderful experience. From the early milestones like crawling, walking and eating solids to more recent celebrations like potty training (hooray!) they've been great with our girls and we consider the teachers and administrators an extension of our family. We love the open communication, seeing pictures throughout the day, and receiving updates about what they're learning in the curriculum so we know what she's learning and excited about. We first enrolled our oldest at Primrose when she was 16 weeks and they've been there through all the milestones. The majority of our time there has been during the pandemic and all the teachers and administrators have been wonderful with precautions and keeping the kids safe. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about them.

Four kids in gives us some perspective, and starting with academic rigor, to community service opportunities, with extra-curricular options galore, KMHS is an incredible experience. The Magnet program is a shining star for STEM prep, consistently producing students who succeed and excel at top universities. The Magnet crew is stellar all-around, and our kids made long-term quality friendships lasting beyond high school. We've had our runs but never been an athletic powerhouse, partly due to being the smallest 7A school by far in the state (moving to 6A in '20). Despite that Mustangs have frequented state tourneys/meets, and enjoyed great developmental coaches. From personal experience, the swim coach is the best in the state. Beyond the classroom the service opportunities include Mane Link, an outstanding servant leadership organization. The Special Needs Dance and Shop With A Mustang are two examples of how amazing this group is. Good teachers, supportive parent network, happy students are what you'll find at the Mountain.

Seriously, every other school is amateur hour. If all you want is to get to the solo and get your video or photo or whatever, then fine, go to the steam gauge place with the overweight and apathetic or geriatric and incompetent instructors. These instructors and planes are TOP NOTCH. The Cessna 172's have traffic on the screen! This matters b/c you will not see a plane until it's a mile away. Seriously, it takes time to spot traffic, and I like knowing where planes around me are when I can't see them. Basically, you pay for what you get and aviation has an EIGHTY PERCENT wash-out rate. Therefore, getting your PPL will take longer and cost more than you think. But if you're serious about being the twenty percent that make it to the other side, this is the place.

They currently offer nail services and hair services such as perms, color services, silk presses, loc retwists, roller sets, sew ins , natural braids, natural twists and shampoo and blow dry. This location offers walk ins for services every other Saturday, so you should call in the day before to ensure that students are available for services. The pricing has been updated but is still very budget friendly. A silk press is $35 (or $45 if you add on a deep conditioning service). It is the luck of the draw that will determine your student stylist, but you can request a stylist if you like how they've done your hair. You just need to know their schedule. From my understanding as of December 2025, they offer services Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM and in the evening from 5 to 7:30 PM and they offer services from 9 AM to 12:30 PM on rotating Saturdays. They accept walk-ins only which is great for those who want to spontaneously come and get a style. Early arrival is recommended because of that system and services being dependent on student stylist availability. Remember this is a Hair school, so part of their day is focused on instruction or practice of certain skills and then they also get to practice on real clients that walk in. Based on my recent experience and my experiences in the past, I think you can't go wrong with a simple service such as a silk press or a shampoo and condition, especially for the price point.
