I was treated rudely and with disrespect. Several people came across as arrogant. Prior to taking any sessions, I carefully described all of my injuries. I'm a 40+ year old former athlete with arthritic joints. Even after explaining my injuries, the instructor, who is also part owner, pressured me into going harder on exercises than what was suitable for me. I ultimately injured my right shoulder, and couldn't life my arm. During class the instructor was very rude. I sought medical treatment with my chiropractor, and when my symptoms did not improve I had an MRI and eventually saw my orthopedic surgeon. I was in physical therapy for 5 weeks. I also called the studio after my injury to let them know what happened. Because I had pre-paid my sessions, I was unsure if I could easily get my money back, since they were giving me a vibe as if they do not give refunds for any reason. But I think in some cases, you should issue refunds for unused money, because not every studio is a good fit for every person. I felt like I was being looked down upon. There does not seem to be clear policies in place in the event something happens, such as an injury. I was treated horribly. They are not physical therapists and are not qualified to diagnose injuries. The liability waiver excludes them from all liability if you become injured. This means that if a customer does not want to do business with you, either because they do not feel as though you are competent enough to help their specific needs, or they simply do not want to risk further injury they need to be able to end the business relationship. It is a customer's decision if they want to continue doing business with them, even if they pre-paid, especially if something bad happens. They eventually refunded me money, but I had to go back and forth for over a week, which was stressful. I think that they thought I was being dishonest. This was insulting. I've found a new studio. I'll never be back.

As someone new to Houston I had better experiences with both Solidcore and Form Lagree in terms of attention and support for form. That said, the ladies who are regulars there seem very content and classes are well attended so perhaps they're just tailoring to the wants of their clientele. Just maybe not a match for someone craving feedback and pushes to level-up.

She was good, class was small size, which I liked. There were a lot of newbies in this class, and she gave lots of insight and introduction to help get into the poses. In order to activate the pack, I was told to call the studio and then it would be taken care of from there. I tried calling multiple days/ times (while they say they are open), but could never get through. Eventually, I decided to just show up in person at the time of a class I wanted to attend. Luckily, they were able to quickly get me setup in the system and I was able to attend the class I had shown up for. The first class I selected was the Cardio Express class. As I usually like faster paced workouts, I thought this would be my best bet. The instructor was very welcoming and helped me get setup. The class itself was much harder than I expected but it really was a great workout. I was sore in the days after this class. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great workout.

I have also been taking livestream classes from Define from my home during the pandemic. The classes are a good price ($12) compared the in-studio ones, and there are offerings from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM, across all types of workouts. The studios are renting equipment for people who do not have that at home. However, since I am several states away, I am already set up with what I have here. I have taken bounce and body classes via livestream and the sound quality is great. There are one or two instructors on zoom, and one is cueing while another is demo-ing. I was also able to take two free classes (one body and one bounce) with the founder, Henry Richardson. I actually was able to talk to him both times before he started the class and he was so nice. My friend joined the bounce class and enjoyed his calm but motivating energy. If livestream continues as some studios open up, I will continue to take them from Kansas.

I had to ask her how to use the lockers, which had combination locks that didn't even work. I tried two different lockers already. Safe to say, I just brought my handbag into the cycling room because I couldn't trust the security of my things. The spin instructor was not very welcoming either. I had to set up my own stationary bike seat level, and I would've liked a little bit more help to make sure I was comfortable before starting the workout. I mean, the class was only 50% full. Once I did get started, the workout was challenging only because I kept the resistance on my bike up. Otherwise, the instructor was pretty lukewarm with her enthusiasm during the workout. Also, what the heck is up with the dimmed lighting?! I mean, if we were doing yoga or meditation, I get it. But, an intense cardio workout? I couldn't even see some of the moves she was telling me to do, to be honest. The lights should've just stayed on. Even then, the workout music was playing even louder than the instructor was talking. So, I barely knew what she was saying too. I don't feel there was effective communication at all. I wish the workout music was more upbeat as well. I mean, at one point, Ed Sheeran's song, "Perfect" started playing. I was like, wth? There were only women in the room. Awkward. Otherwise, the facility is very clean. They have a bathroom next to the changing rooms. They have automatic hand sanitizers and a water dispensing station. Also, they did give me a free pair of rental shoes for the spin class because it was my first time here. So, that was nice. I don't know that I'd be back, though, just because the customer service was not great, and the workout was not very inspiring.

Since I mapped it out beforehand, I knew where to park and how to get to the gym. This was a fairly large shopping area, but EQX was right there, and the desk is there in front once you enter. There was a really nice girl this day with long braids, and she directed me upstairs to the locker room and informed me that parking validation was not necessary at this time; the gate just went up as you pulled up to it. Perfect! After going upstairs, I did wander around and then a trainer directed me over to the locker room, which was spacious and very clean. The fitness floor is on the second, and as soon as I found the treadmills, I knew where I belonged. Light movement in the stretching area after, and then back to a shower with decent water pressure. What I was fascinated with was how friendly staff was. Trainers actually smiled and said goodbye which you won't normally see in California or New York. I certainly wasn't at home! Compared to other locations, this one was very low-key, although I admit I came during the afternoon where it was probably quieter. I had forgotten this is the location that I was in contact with back in 2020 when I had ordered some masks from their shop since they were actually open. I had such a good experience that the trip here to see them in person was worth it!
