I get a massage every two weeks with their massage therapist Summer and she is absolutely amazing. It doesn't matter if I go in for deep tissue , lymphatic drainage , a nice calming massage she absolutely achieves each time. The prices are 100% reasonable and this will definitely continue to be in my routine in the future. Do not go here for a manicure/pedicure. I was seduced by a $20 off coupon and am still regretting it. Although the staff greets you with a smile and offer of a beverage it quickly went downhill from there. This is not a relaxing atmosphere; it's very noisy from the large opening into the lobby and floors above. It did seem clean, I'll give them that. The nail tech has been doing this reportedly for a year. I left with a sub-par manicure and more importantly a blister and raw skin on my heel from over aggressive filing. I actually pulled my foot back purely by reaction to her rough work....after already asking her to be more gentle. I received a request for a review directly from Life Spa and reported the above mentioned and have yet to hear from them.....not cool! I would not recommend this salon. The prices warrant a much better experience and qualified technician. read more

I thought it was time to write about the amazing facial I had at Life Spa with Bethany. My skin felt great from all the wonderful products, my shoulders and scalp felt great from the awesome massage, and my wallet felt great from using my new member ticket! Everyone was very kind and professional -- from the girl that greeted me to Bethany to the girl at the front desk who asked me how everything went. Two things I thought were really great: 1) Life Spa doesn't use bottled water. They instead offer you filtered water in a real glass. I dislike those mini bottled waters and I think they taste worst than filtered water. 2) My scalp massage. My brain felt like it was on vacation for the entire facial. 4.5 stars Ok....I just had the most amazing facial there today....I never experienced anything like it. And my pedicure rocked also. I don't think I picked a better day to have a little relaxation. I rode almost 24 miles today (I swear it was all uphill) and I had the worst pain in my legs. (Yes, I did stretch) My pedicure was great...Shannon does a wonderful job....though now I have straight line syndrome with french man/pedicures. Since I hate it that they have to use latex gloves, I couldn't tell at all that she was wearing them when i was getting my massage. AND! She actually made my feet completely soft and dry skin free. That alone is a miracle. Then I had my amazing facial. Where do you get a facial that they put your hands in parrafin wax, massage your legs (I did complain about my pain....) and give the most relaxing neck, shoulder, and head massage ever????? Laura is amazing...and she does a great job with waxing also. My husband and I came in to see Kimberly Surek for some pampering, and I decided to try the hydro facial, since I had not tried this before. All I can say is WOW!! My skin looks so amazing and Kimberly is so gifted as an esthetician. She is so good at what she does, and the whole experience was wonderful. My skin is still glowing 24 hours later. I've had a couple services done here and I feel it's been hit or miss for overall satisfaction level. I had a haircut about a month ago and the woman who did it was really friendly and did a very nice job. She was newer to the salon, but if I was to go back I'd want to see her. I got a color just about a week ago and wasn't as ecstatic. I tried to leave in a good mood, but it wasn't what I was expecting so I don't think I'll try color here again. To start, I got a call that the appointment would start about 10 minutes late - it actually started almost an hour late. The salon manager came over about halfway through the wait to apologize, which was nice, and said she'd take care of me, but I'm not sure what she meant by that as I paid full price, didn't receive anything different, and had to wait still. Once the appointment started, I mentioned what I had discussed with the previous stylist (who I would have scheduled with but she was on vacation). This stylist agreed and began to work. I asked about choosing a color for the highlights and she said to look through Pinterest boards and she'd bring colors out later. Well, she apparently opted for the color on her own as she never brought out the boards. It wasn't a tone I would have selected and while it looks nice, it just doesn't look how I wanted. As someone who doesn't go for color often, it's a bit disappointing. I don't know if she forgot, just wanted to get out as I was the last client, or figured she knew best, but being that it's my hair I figured I'd have color input. I was torn between two stars and three stars - if it was purely based on this last encounter, definitely two. I walked away looking okay, but it was very pricy and I didn't get the look I was expecting. Hey guys :) so I really wanted some featherlock extensions and couldn't find them anywhere!! Finally I found out that the Life Spa at Lifetime fitness had them. Random?!? Yes. I found a couple other places but they were too expensive. So I decided to give Life Spa a chance. I was reluctant because it was in Life Time Fitness and not an actual Salon standing alone. Anyways I really liked it there. I saw Jessica. She was GREAT! really friendly and easy to talk to. I had my hair colored black and got some featherlock extensions! I LOVE it! So this review is about three different stylist. I'm a former employee at this location but still believe in all the hard work these ladies do. Michelle cut my hair into a sassy short style I've been thinking about along time. She really made my hair cut into what I wanted. She is an amazing stylist who listen to the style you want. Bree colored my hair to the color I wanted an white blonde(bleach and tone). Bree is professional and listens to every want you need. My hair is color is what I've been wanting it for a long time. Jordan is cutting my husbands hair. She is amazing at men's cut. She perfected his cut and makes sure everything is right. They all educate you how to take care of your hair and the treatment and styling you should do at home. I went in and got my roots re-done. The stylist by the name of Chris did an amazing job with my hair. I was a little nervous because my hair was a little damaged before but he made it soft and healthy with a conditioning treatment. The color was complimentary to my skin tone which i loved. Just had a Hydro facial with Kim Surek and it was fantastic. She also helped me find a new cleanser and tinted moisturizer. I also had my son get a facial to help with his acne and he loved it and asked me to book his next one. The redness has gone down. There was a huge difference in his complexion when he was done. Prices are a bit high for regular visits (used a new member discount), but if you're willing to pay over $30 for a pedicure, it may be worth it. Pedicure area has 1 chair and the technician is not full time, so although the experience is a private and quiet one, you'll definitely want to call ahead of time and schedule an appointment. Very serene and relaxing environment (you forget you're in the middle of a large gym), and the staff is very friendly and attentive. read more

There are some really friendly people working at the spa inside of Lifetime Fitness but somehow my experiences here always end up being sub-par. I had found a great massage therapist named Elena but now she no longer works there and I have yet to find another one that is any good. I also tried getting a bikini wax and the technician was really great but I had some kind of reaction to the wax and broke out really bad. Their prices are pretty expensive for what you get but they do sometimes have deals. Their last promotional event for massage turned out not to be what was advertised though so you do have to be careful. Overall you are probably better going to any other middle of the road salon or someplace like Massage Envy. read more

Firstly, I will say that I got a great color & cut from one of the stylists here, and I tried out their services because of my new LT Bucks from becoming a new member. I'm giving it a not so great review because prices are sooo ambiguous and high (more than I've experienced at any other place I've gotten my hair done in the past...including salons in San Francisco I went to when I lived out there). All together for a hair dye, gloss and cut it came out to $240 before tip. It was about $75 more than I was expecting to spend, and overall the reason I won't be going back. read more

Incompetent and Condescending I don't know how this place is still operational. I had a decent haircut in September, and was told at that time that if I rebooked then that I would receive $25 off my next appointment. So of course I rebooked. My appointment was for this past Monday. However, I was unable to make this appointment. I first attempted to call to reschedule, but no one returned my phone call. I then sent an email when I received my email reminder of the appointment. Still no response. I called again and finally got someone. I had two appointments scheduled that I needed to rebook: a haircut and a massage. Whoever answered saw the haircut and I told her I need to rebook that and that I had a massage before the haircut that I needed to rebook as well. This was on a Friday and my appointments were on a Monday. She then tells me that she doesn't see any appointments for me on Saturday or Sunday. I said I didn't say Saturday or Sunday, I said before my haircut, meaning the same day. I tried to explain and I was getting pretty irritated at how difficult it was for her to understand. And I wanted to ensure that I would keep my $25 off when I reschedule. It was all so obnoxious and I didn't have the time so I simply said to cancel my appointments for now. Fast forward to a week later, it's the next Friday. I call and ask for a hair appointment with the woman who cut my hair last time. I was told that she is not in today but that they have 3 others there today who are all wonderful. She books me with Veronica. I arrive early and discuss the $25 off and the problem I had with rebooking previously. I was told by the woman checking me in that she is the aesthetician and she would have to ask Veronica who is doing my hair because she is in charge of the front desk. I was told I could wait on the couch, which I did. A few minutes later the lady (aesthetician) stated she spoke with Veronica and she is fine with the $25 off. I still don't know why she has to okay the promotion that was made by LifeSpa back in September and should be written in my previous appointment somewhere (I had previously verified that I would have it for that Monday appointment and I was assured that I would). But nevertheless, I was happy that it was "approved" and I waited for my appointment. About 5 or 10 minutes after my appointment time, Veronica comes over to where I am sitting. She says something to me questioning the discount, all while still standing over me and having her head tilted very condescendingly (like she's talking to a child. Complete head tilt, not a slight one (so if you want to picture it)). I don't even fully remember what she said regarding the discount and I was confused as to why it was even being brought up when I was already told that it was fine. I responded with something along those lines, that the $25 off had already been approved and I don't understand why she's bringing it up. She said she never said yes to $25, but maybe she could give me 25% off. She then proceeded to tell me that the aesthetician said 25% off, not $25. She went to talk to the aesthetician and I heard the aesthetician say "No, I said $25, not 25%." Veronica comes back and continues to talk about how she has never heard of them giving $25 off. I asked if she was there in September and she said she was. Obviously her memory isn't very good if she can't even remember the aesthetician saying $25 and not 25%. She said $25 would bring her haircut down to $35 (yes, I can do math too, thank you). We then sit there awkwardly in silence staring at each other (there were a few awkward moments during this entire ordeal). I don't like her vibe at all and she really needs to work on her interpersonal communication skills. I don't know how they get paid, but I would assume they get their tips (which I always tip at least 20% of the original price, so she lost out here) and maybe something else. If it's not her personal business, why is she telling me that that would bring "her" haircut down to $35? After a bit of an awkward silence and me just looking at her funny and not understanding what is going on, she asked "well, do you want a blow dry?" Um, what? Why the hell wouldn't I want a blow dry? The discount didn't say "haircut without blow dry" and I'm not agreeing to a cut without a dry. There were no conditions to the discount other than rebooking that same day back in September. Plus, yes, I would like to see how my haircut actually looks, and I'm not leaving a salon in the winter with wet hair. The whole thing was uncomfortable and I didn't like the vibe I got from Veronica. At some point I told her this was all really uncomfortable and so she said maybe someone else could cut my hair since I'm uncomfortable. I don't understand what her deal was and at that point there's no way I was going to trust anyone there putting scissors to my hair. I went here for a cut because my sister goes here and loves it. I on the other hand got the worst cut of my life. I gave them one star because my sister goes to jessi and thinks she's great, and they desk staff is really friendly. I saw Brittany (pretty sure that was her name) and told her I wanted a choppy bob that sat just above my shoulders, and even brought a picture of exactly what I wanted. She cut it WAY too short, the entire thing was completely uneven and had random hairs longer than others, and she didn't know how to style it. The bangs in the picture were side swept and chin length and she cut mine off above my eyebrows. I didn't tell her because I was afraid she would try to fix it and it would end up shorter and worse looking if that was possible. I ended up going home and taking scissors to my hair myself just to go out in public, yeah it was that bad. So a lot of people like this place and I'm sure the other stylists are great just don't see this chick unless you want to look like the Molly ringwald circa 1986 cut by a kindergartener look. read more
