This repair company, contracted by Asurion is guilty of fraudulent activity and false claims. This behavior is being reported to the BBB and New York State Department of Financial Services. My case begins nearly 2 months ago with a pair of broken $550 studio reference headphones. They do not produce audio, the problem has been replicated by multiple third party technicians. When attempting to file a claim with Asurion, the product has been sent to this licensed repair company 5 times. Every time they falsely claim the product is functional. I bought an Apple Watch from Walmart in March and payed for the three year warranty from Allstate. In May, I accidentally dropped it and it got banged up on the sides and crown as well as scratches on the screen. This all was supposed to be under coverage as an accidental drop, and therefore should have been fixed when I sent it out. However, a week later I got it back with absolutely nothing fixed and even more scratches on the screen. What did I even pay for if they wouldn't fix damages from an accidental drop? Now I am stuck with a damaged watch with the crown all scratched and loose feeling. Very disappointed with this process and the fact that they did not fix anything even though it was under warranty. Next time I will definitely be buying my watch and warranty from Apple itself. read more

I had taken a Marshall tube amplifier there for a checkup. After waiting for some time past the anticipated completion date, I called them and they said they were having problems getting parts for it. I started calling around and found the official supplier of the parts for the amp. They told me they had plenty of parts for the amp. So I called Lifetime Service Center back and told them I had a phone number for them to call for parts. After MORE time passed I called again and they told me it checked out just fine. I asked them why they were looking for parts if it checked put just fine. The friendly receptionist couldn't answer that question for the tech. They told me the techs do not take phone calls so I could not get my question answered. First time... likely last time read more

This place is joke. I sent my TV to them through SquareTrade and when I got it back two weeks later, it still didn't work. The tech, JPO, apparently didn't do anything and sent it back to me saying it was fixed. They work slow and apparently hire lazy idiots who don't work. Lifetime Service Center in Amherst is the place to go if you don't have insurance on your phone or your deductible is 100. They may be able to fix it for less. JP3 works on the Samsung and did an excellent at an excellent rate The repair I needed is a complex soldering job that some repairers don't do. I don't have insurance because I believe the repairs are cheaper than paying a monthly premium and normally a $100 deductible to get a refurbished phone (because often Sprint will tell you it is not fixable). I have had one other repair that I sent out of state and saved $200 but I needed my phone fixed asap because of a charging issue. Lifetime is a service center for many manufacturers. I called and spoke to JP3 that handles the Samsung line. He was straight and upfront. He told to bring it in and if he could fix it for less he would. When I got there, he looked at it immediately and told me the damage was worse than I hoped for. He quoted a great price ordered the part and called me back 3 days later when it arrived. I was their in 25 minutes went to lunch and when I came back it was ready. He showed me the damage to the broken charger port and explained what he had done. If I can give zero stars then I would. This is a third party repair center used by square trade for their warranty coverage. I opened a claim for my Nintendo switch and they had me ship my device to this location for repair. Long story short, a day after it arrived there I received an email from fedex with shipping information about my device being on its way back to me. I contact SquareTrade to find out more details and they had not received any info from this company. Finally, I'm told that the damage was not covered under warranty and the best part of the story, they sent my device back in pieces. so all of the tiny screws were missing and my switch had been taken apart and returned that way. Worst service I've ever experienced, very unprofessional. read more

I had a scheduled repair and they never showed. Of course they blame the main warranty company and the warranty company blames them. Took a day off and no repair - nice waste, and they dont seem to care. They had to reschedule and I do not have any more vacation time, so with some discussion they made me the first appointment of the day and I was told to expect someone between 7:30 and 8 - its now 9 and no technician. I am also an hour late for work and will need to call to request a day without pay - which will cost me a lot of $$$$. So now this in warranty call will cost me hundreds of dollars - and again, nobody at either warranty company seems to care. Someone did finally make it here around 9:45 but now I still need to take the day without pay.... read more

They fixed a vintage stereo that another shop tried three times to repair. Also, just had a Sony CD ES player fixed that had problems opening and replaced two belts. For under $40 that was a bargain. Will definitely use them again as they do quality work at very reasonable rates. read more

These people are contractors for Squaretrade, the purveyor of extended warranties. My smartwatch stopped connecting to my phone, and so I ship it at Squaretrade's instructions to Lifetime. Mind you, they send a UPS Ground label (dog slow) - but that's ok. The repair is covered under the warrany, after all. Two weeks later, I receive my replacement. Except it's the wrong model, an older model. But they've done me the courtesy of including my original (incompatible) charger. So I call up Squaretrade, who tells me to ship it back to these idiots. And what do they do to remedy the situation? Send me another slow UPS Ground label. So now I've been without my item for over a month, and the correct item (supposedly) is in transit to me. Which is great, but they sent me a form "we replaced your item" e-mail...with the tracking number not filled out - it actually says "paste FedEx tracking number here" in the body of the e-mail. The silver lining may be that I only have to deal with Squaretrade rather than these incompetents. read more

Nice little scam they have running here. Sent my TC Helicon VoiceLive Play vocal processor to fix the problem that it keeps freezing up during gigs. Technician can't find the problem, so I can either replace the motherboard for more than the cost of the unit, or pay $60 to get it back unchanged. I lose our either way. After almost three and a half months and dozens of calls to your service center and distribution I still have not received my speakers which I sent in for amp replacement. They are supposedly going to arrive today but I've been told that before. I was told at least five times I would receive them withing the week that we were waiting on parts. I am an audio engineer and have never had any repair for any equipment take this long. It cost me over more than the total cost of the speakers (Over $2200) plus the outrageous shipping to NY of over $200 to lose a client that I was mixing a live album for. This was the worst company support I have ever encountered in my 10 years of engineering. read more

They get it done but not as quickly as promised. I bought the extended service when I got my Sony HC9 form B & H Photo. Turns out Lifetime Service is the provider. I've sent the camera back a few times. The phone message you listen too says repairs within 7 to 10 days. NOT! Current repair was at their facility 21 days before the parts were ordered. Past experience tells me that it'll be a while before the parts arrive and longer still to get the camera back. If I had a choice I try some one else. read more

Sent in a Technics SL-1200MK5 in for tonearm repair through a Square Trade Warranty purchased through eBay. Tonearm was not tracking properly and heavily skipping. Initial turnaround was one week. Technician replaced tonearm with better MK5G tonearm but sound only came from one channel. Called and spoke to technician and they send a return UPS slip. Lifetime Service Center ordered new RCA's from one supplier then had to another set from another supplier because the 1st supplier had them on backorder. Unfortunately, it took a total of 47 days to receive the turntable back from the initial time it was sent in for repair but the quality of work is great and my turntable works perfectly. read more

The locking part on the door of my Samsung front loading washing machine broke. I couldn't find a local repair person who could get the part and fix it, so I called Lifetime Service Center (they were listed on the Samsung web site as an authorized service center). My first impression was great - the customer service girl who took my call was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took the time to find out if they could get the part ahead of time and save a trip out to my house to assess and then have to return to repair --- she called me back and said they knew what the part was and it was on order, so she set up an in home repair appointment for the following week. Unfortunately, the day of my appt was the day that Buffalo was hit with 8 feet of snow, so they called to reschedule and I was pleasantly surprised that the new appt was only a few days later! The tech came with the part in hand and had it fixed in a matter of minutes. He was very friendly and professional. I can't say enough about them --- every aspect of my experience with them was positive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them again, if needed! read more

Sorry guys, although the front end and customer service is great, the actual service is poor. I had to come here for a repair on an AC unit for summer last year. Just got it, made noise, took it to Lifetime, said it would be about two weeks, turns out it would take about 3 months to get the part and repair it, by that time it would have been winter... Here is the story. My Samsung stove broke. The ceramic glass broke on it. Since it is over a year old the part is covered but the labor is not. Fine, not a problem. I get that. I call Samsung they confirm the part is under warranty. The say a tech will call from the service company to setup repair. Ok no problems so far. I get a call from the Service center to schedule a visit by Tech. They inform me that when the tech comes out to inspect the stove there will be an 87 service fee. He will insect the stove to make sure it is an actual warranty situation. Ok No problem. I get that too. Once the warranty is authorized Samsung will send out the part and another visit will be scheduled to have the part installed. Fine, Not a problem. I ask her how much the labor will be to replace the part. SHe is not sure. So she goes and asks about how much it will be to. SHe comes back on the phone and tells me it will cost about $150, SHe does say the cost of the first service call will be deducted from the price. Now here is where my real issue begins.I have looked it up on line. To replace the glass top who have to remove 3 screws from the front of thew stove. You life up the glass top and disconnect the brackets holding the heating elements in. You remove the glass top. Put on new glass top. Reattach the brackets. Put the top down and screw in the front screws. That is it. Maybe 20 minutes worth of work and they have the nerve to charge $150. I can almost buy the part for this price. And the real kicker is there is no other authorized repair center in the area. They have you over a barrel. Well I say screw that. THis place can just bite me. STAY AWAY. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING BUT A RIPOFF. I WOULD RATHER BUY A NEW STOVE THEN DEAL WITH PEOPLE EVER. Luckily I can just do it my self and save the hassle of TWO service calls it will take. STAY AWAY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more
