I loved floating at lift. The facility is clean, zen, and the float experience was so relaxing. I teach yoga and am always on my feet which often has my lower back in distress. After my float, I literally felt like my pain floated away and I felt so grounded and light. I chose the room over the pod, and ended up turning off the lights and music to truly unplug. After I showered - I recommend bringing your fav products with you but they do have things like lotion and deodorant available - I refreshed and changed clothes then sat and had tea in the lounge. Def adding to my regular self care routine.

This is my second time here. First time, I tried the pod and this time I tried the suite. I prefer the suite. Fyi, the suite doesn't have music. If you want music, book the pod. The suite gave me a sense of being free. There was a bit of construction going on , in the building next door but I swear I didn't hear it while I was in the suite. I gave this place a 4/5 because I felt the owner wasn't really friendly (to me). I came in, right before a couple (who came in after me) and she made more conversation with them . As we were leaving it was the very same thing. Would I float again? Absolutely... I would go for a suite.

Just had an awesome experience here. I definitely got the full effect. I left feeling relaxed and reset. Very zen. Morgan was an excellent host for the experience and she even read me some tarot cards. The tea in the sitting area is a nice touch too! Will definitely recommend

Great experience, I will do it again. I like how they have the waxy ear plugs, and large packets of vaseline in the room. For the shower, there is shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap, but I wish there was lotion. My only problem in the closed pod is lack of air circulation. It got very humid quickly. I simply had to open it to feel better, which is fine. Overall Id give 5 stars, but its just so expensive.

Awesome experience!! This was my first time trying a sensory deprivation tank and it was amazing! I wish I had tried it sooner. The staff and the ambience at the spa was wonderful as well, and I felt so at ease upon entering. They first prepare you for the float with an introductory video so you'll know what to expect. They offer two types of floats here, either the evolution pod or a suite which has starlights and is more spacious in comparison. Apparently the pod comes with music, but the suite doesn't. Both comes equipped with a shower and items to prepare you for entering the float (e.g., ear plugs, towels, petroleum jelly, etc). After the float's done, you can enjoy some beverages at the lounge area. Overall, I would come back again and highly recommend this float spa!

I had the most amazing experience here at the float spa. When I first heard about the float spa, it was pretty intriguing. And I saw float spa deal on groupon and after my research, I decided to try this place as it looked clean and new with pods that I wanted to try. Once I bought the groupon and called to ask some questions and to book, every receptionist/professional was so friendly and helpful. The whole process takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours. There's a small lounge area by the reception. It's really small so it's not really a relaxing spa area like other typical spas. It's more like a waiting area. Before you arrive and make a reservation, there's 2 choices, a room or a pod. Rooms are supposed to be a bit bigger but I chose a pod since that's the main reason I was doing the float spa. Each room/pod area has a quick shower function. I wish the area where I can store my belongings can be covered but water didn't reach that area anyway so it's fine. The shower/storage area is small. But the pod! It was much bigger than I had imagined. I floated right away and within minutes I was so comfortable. It was better than lying on my own bed. I realized why people do float spa then. The relaxing music playing, the entire space to myself and I was so comfortable where I could even sleep if I was tired. I even felt like my muscles were being relaxed. My only complaint is that the area where I was able to get ready after the float spa session was over was really tiny and unisex. Only one person could fit in there and blow dry hair or get ready. Well, the lift spa isn't that big so that's understandable as well. It was definitely a unique spa that I have never experienced and a good one. I'll try a room next time I come back!

Great place to unwind and forget about the everyday problems and just let go. I like the friendly atmosphere and the cosy environment. The float tanks are amazing and high tech, very quiet and no interruptions whatsoever unless you think about your phone or checking social media while floating. Did 3 sessions and going to go more often.

Ask the Community - Lift Next Level Floats

    Can you do walk ins?

Hi Annette! Assuming we have availability, we happily take walk ins. We do frequently book up in advance, so it's best reserve an appointment if you want to be sure to float!

What kind of shampoo and body wash do y'all use? It smells great.

Thanks Juan, glad you like it! The body wash is Lavender Castile by Vermont Soap and the shampoo…

Can couples stay at the same floating tank?

Under NYC law, only one person can be in the tank at a time. Additionally, our tanks are designed for one person. It is great to come as a couple, each in your own tank, and discuss your experience after.

    Do they provide ear plugs?

    Yes they do

Would this be recommended for an individual who can't swim?

Yes definitely. You are laying in about 5 inches of water. Also you will naturally float when you lay back. So it's a very relaxing experience.

    How much is it?

Your first float is $79, or $199 for 3.

At first you walk in, they provide you with a menu so that you may choose the prefloat tonic. I thought it was really interesting, I picked the euphoria one. Tasted like a nice tea and was a beautiful color, I'm guessing from the butterfly pea steeped in it. The adaptogens has a bit of a bitter taste but it was warm and not off putting at all. Then you choose your float experience. I had a hard time deciding between full sensory deprivation or a guided meditation. I did the vessel of love but it was good to know that if I wanted to, I could turn off the lights and the guided mediation at any point - which I did and it was lovely. The room was very clean, they gave me the steps I needed to wash and exfoliate my skin before hand. All their products are le labo and smell amazing. After floating you pick a drink to reflect and I choose the chai which was the safest bet in my opinion in flavor. Besides instruction there isn't much interaction with the staff but they were helpful if ever needed. I think it's a nice treat to yourself to decompress after a stressful week. I do think the 80 dollar entry for first time floaters should be the overall price for all however. Especially since the experience is just an hour.

I've only tried the float therapy here so far. We went here a few months ago. The place is very dark and feels like you're in an underground cave (which I guess you kind of are...) that's cordoned off from the rest of the world. Bathhouse felt much more like an open public space, less well-kept, and the intake at the front desk was very poor. Aire had a wonderful onboarding with a detailed explanation of everything available and where to go for it. The massages were mostly rub-downs and were very relaxing (I fell asleep during mine) but not therapeutic, per se. Aire also has salt scrubs you can do, which is a nice touch, and overall the pools are immaculately maintained during the day. So if you're deciding between the two and have enough money to go to either, I recommend spending a touch more on Aire. It's worth the difference.

My massage was an ok experience - pressure fluctuated throughout, so it was hard to pinpoint when to tell her to go harder or softer.
