It's been 4 months now and it still does not work. After numerous attempts to contact them and multiple service calls my $14K system does not work. I went through summer without a/c and now that it's getting colder we have no heat. I have a family member who is battling cancer and this issue has caused us sooo much stress. We had used Dr. Carpet many years ago, and since our house is WAY off the beaten path, it's hard to find someone to come out for service. I could tell right away they had their act together. The dispatcher asked great questions like "can we find your house on a nav system", and "do you have cell service at your house". (Yes, and no.) Most people don't think to ask those questions, which can cause a lot of headaches. Also they called to confirm the night before--very thoughtful because I had completely forgotten! The technicians (Mike and Dean) were right on time, wearing masks and gloves, as well as shoe coverings. They worked around my home-office meeting schedule so I didn't have to worry about noise during critical parts where I needed to be speaking to my coworkers. I couldn't believe the stuff they found in my air ducts! (Pictured below, NOT including the dead mouse.) They also showed me pictures of the insides of my ducts, including a few areas that need replacing (they don't do that kind of work, but it's great to know, I would have never thought about that). And finally they made some suggestions about replacing my air filters in a few weeks. I appreciated that they never once tried to upsell me on anything. The total charge was exactly as quoted. Overall my experience was professional, friendly and helpful, I would definitely use them again.

Our technician arrived unprepared and had to borrow my personal items. He made a giant mess in several areas and never bothered to vacuum or clean them up, which upset me because we had just had our home professionally cleaned. He also failed to bring his own extension cord and when he borrowed mine, he just left it on the ground outside instead of putting it back where I showed him it came from. He also forgot to pack his own garbage bags for The dryer vent cleaning and then left the bag outside on the ground for my dog to get into. The amount of lint dust, and dirt that he left on the top of my gazebo was unreal! They should come more prepared and bring tarps to cover areas if there is a possibility of them making a mess. He tried to vacuum it up with his little shop vac, but didn't have any attachments to actually get it well cleaned so I'm sure we will have to finish cleaning it later. Also left several chunks of lint on the ground outside for my dog to get into. Upon leaving They informed me that there was going to be a 3% service charge if I used my credit card for payment, which was not told to me at the time of the appointment! I paid him and he left and then realized not only did he forget the garbage bag, forget to put my extension cord away, but he left his own ladder. He was a nice young guy. I just don't believe he is properly trained and is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend them and I will not be using them again. When I called the company, we had the same answering service answer the phone and I asked to speak with a manager or the owner and he said he would forward on a message to them and get right back to me. It has now been several hours, so I guess I am going to have to clean everything up myself, which is super unfortunate.

They fixed some damage caused by other contractors to the exterior vent cover and piping and I'm not sure our dryer has ever worked so well. Their bid was not the lowest, but during the time spent preparing the bid they really convinced me that they knew what they were doing and would not cut any corners. From what I can tell they did not. I would heartily recommend them for any dryer venting needs you might have and suspect they do as fine a job with HVAC ducting as well.

They were great with their communication to let us know they were running a bit late and when they arrived they got straight to work. I gave them a quick tour to see where everything was and they knew exactly what to do. Every step of the way they were showing us the importance of the cleaning and how much it'll benefit our house. They provided before and after pictures along with everything their filter caught from the cleaning. It was clear our house needed it and may have never been done since it was first built. They were incredibly friendly, kind and willing to answer my questions. I appreciate the amazing work they did and the care they put into communicating the progress of their work. Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. We have 23 registers, 2 returns, and 2 bathroom fans. Both of the guys worked non-stop for 2.75 hours. The registers are all now squeaky clean (they were horribly coated in dust) & our house no longer smells musty/dusty whenever the air comes on. The cost for the service was $750. I have no idea if this is good or not. I have nothing to compare the price to, since I couldn't find anyone else in our area that does true duct cleaning. But I will say these 2 guys worked hard and did a stellar job. They even offered to put our new filter in for us (we supplied it) at no extra charge.
