The estimating system (a simple and non-sensical excel document made by someone with little grasp of the trade) has been out of date for at least a half century. No one in the industry works this way for good reason. I have no faith in their ability to price things correctly in such a rudimentary and disorganized way. You'll be given a task with a due date. Guess what, that date will move without you knowing because the only way you'll find out is an email every 2 days with the new dates. Think you were on schedule? Think again. You just magically became late! They implemented a policy that you had to have your detailed scope submitted a full three days before your estimate. Which is absurd because guess how you get that information? Yeah, by doing the estimate. They decided to make this change during one of the busiest weeks which instantly flagged us to managment as "Late" for these projects, but only because they were applying a new policy retroactively. They said don't worry about it, but like on other occasions, that was simply a lie. The managment of this company is really lacking. Half the people I spoke with had no clear understanding of who they reported to. You get half information from questionable sources and all along you're assured that everything is fine. If you're looking for a job or a competant contractor, there are plenty of professional and capable options out there. This isn't one of them.

I mulled over this situation the past few weeks, and decided this was my best course of action for the time being. As a single woman who lives alone in Portland it's important to hire a company that is very clear on how they expect their employees to conduct themselves with clients. This was very scary for me because he has my address now, and I'm afraid of retaliation from reporting the incident because they will know it was me, and where I I live.....unless they are doing this regularly to other women, too. Please, educate you employees on the importance of appropriate conduct, sexual harassment, and what the consequences of their actions are. I'm a survivor of past assault, and this affected me very deeply because this happened IN MY HOME. I should be able to trust your company to vet, and educate it's employees of the importance of these kind of issues. After I move I will feel more comfortable giving more specific information about the incident, and the employee. I will say that it happened in Portland Nov.1, 2023. He did the work while I was on a work trip and my boyfriend let me know that that a rebuild he did was not done and in fact leaking in a different place. He returned to fix it. I am still out of town do not know of its correct and simply asked to get a invoice to pay email via square. (HE HAS SQUARE, I run my buisness viasquare I sent him screen shots on how to do this) this is when he started cussing. I told him it's not smart to cuss at clients and as a business owner he should know how to do this. Square will protect me if the work is still not right. Victoria and Kevin were super helpful with the front end estimates and scheduling. Victoria kept in contact with us throughout every step of the way. Trevor and Robert were the electricians who came out to do the work. They were easy to work with and really cared about the project and got most of the work done in one visit. On what we thought was the final day (returning after the swim spa was delivered), we ran into minor hiccup from the manufacturer (missing one of the lugs to land the final wiring in the swim spa) Trevor went above and beyond to help me figure out how to get the missing part. I don't know who was more bummed about not getting the swim spa going him or I. After I got the manufacturer to overnight the missing piece, Trevor was able to return on very short notice and get us up and running. My 3-star rating is related to the work that was actually done to unstop my kitchen sink. I had…read morehired Molalla Plumbing 3 years ago to perform the same work and the guy that came out was amazing. He not only cleared the drain but he cleaned up after himself and left my home in perfect condition. So this time, when the drain once again quit draining, I called Molalla Plumbing. They were able to come out the next afternoon and a different guy than last time came out to do the un-stopping of the drain. The problems started when the snake he was using made a turn and instead of continuing down the main drain line from the kitchen, went up the drain line into the bathroom where it knocked off the bathroom sink drain pipe and spewed nasty stinky almost-black "stuff" in the area under the sink (by the way, it's never a good thing when you hear the person doing the work say "uh oh"). I had been sitting in the living room and I heard him ask if I had any towels that he could use and of course I pulled out a couple of towels for him to sop up the mess on the floor (he had also turned on the water at the sink faucet before he realized that the drain line had come apart so there was also fresh water pouring into the space under the sink.) He had removed the items under the sink (fabric softener, clothes soap, cleanser, etc.) to put the pipe back together and then he put all the things back under the sink and closed the cabinet doors. I paid the bill (which turned out to have a bigger surcharge for using my debit card than he told me it would be) and as the guy was leaving, I asked him if there was anything I needed to do about the bathroom and he said "no." After he left, I decided to check under the sink and found that nothing had been cleaned and that the mat under the items was soaked with the wet stinky gross mess. He had just put everything back without cleaning anything. It took me more than a half hour to pull the items out and clean them off (some things had to be hosed off outside because they were so covered in that stinky stuff I couldn't get them clean any other way). The mat had to be thrown away; it was not recoverable. Wished I'd taken pics but all I could think of was to get it cleaned up before it all dried! So, 2 stars ("could've been better") for a kitchen sink that actually drains now but docked 3 stars for the mess that was left and the bill being more than I was told it would be. Next time I'll be calling someone else.
