I have been trying to order 17 outdoor lighting fixtures for months. I spent many hours online and also went to every lighting store that I could find. Anytime I found a fixture that would work, it would be out of stock. I suppose this isn't surprising due to supply chain issues, but no one was helpful until I went into the Light Bulb Warehouse. I worked with Abby, and she showed me what she had in the type of outdoor fixtures I wanted (marine grade or powder coated, contemporary clean lines). She found me two fixtures that I liked that were in stock in Southern California. I chose one and she placed the order and I had them in 5 days! Needed to replace a light above our stove. The one I got at Home Depot wasn't bright enough. Went to LBW and Abby said our original was discontinued and recommended a halogen instead, but it turned out to have a shorter stem than the original bulb and the gap between it and the flashing was going to be a cleaning and safety issue over the long term. Went back to LBW and after explaining the situation she was persistent in tracking down a suitable substitute which seems to be doing the job. Thank you! read more

I REALLY don't want to give this place 1 stars. They deserve 5 stars. They SHOULD have 5 stars. I can't even bring myself to leave them a 2 star review. They get 1 stars, and I will tell you why. The guy at the front desk with the British (?) accent is fantastic. He knows everything one could hope a lightbulb guy to know, treats the customers with respect, and is a shrewd and straightforward businessman. The selection is freaking AMAZING. The store has character and is fun. However, this place had a chance to get me as a customer-for-life and blew it. I was looking for a set of 8 solux daylight equivalent bulbs (~90 bucks with tax, so not a minor sale) and Lightbulb warehouse told me all I needed to know about them and promised to order me the wattages they did not have. I was told they would be in on Wednesday (2 days!), and they even offered to mail them straight to my house. I left a happy customer. On Tuesday I get a call telling me that because there was not enough demand for that wattage, they could not order me the bulbs. Apparently there was a "minimum" order that I did not meet and could not meet as a consumer. No one mentioned this, no one hinted at a problem, and this came out of the blue. I asked if they could make an exception, or if they kept them in stock, and to all questions the answer was no. If your sign says "we carry every bulb in every style" then you had DAMN well better do so. If you aren't ready to order a box of bulbs so that you can make a sale, then you don't deserve to have customers! I don't think it is reasonable for a lightbulb warehouse to place the burden of bulk-ordering onto the end consumer, and therefore I have to go with "I think not" as a rating. Ever wonder where to find a light bulb to replace that weird obscure one in your bathroom light with the fan? Or how about the motion lights outside your house to deter the a-holes from casing your house at night? I have found the exact place for you! This joint is the thing you see from the 5 freeway that has a HUGE light bulb painted on the side. Newsflash, it DOES have every freaking light bulb imaginable. The best thing is that you can just take your burnt bulb, walk in, and hand it to the guy behind the counter. No need to travel store to store and keep buying the wrong bulbs. The employees will scamper around the store and magically reappear with the EXACT light bulb you need. I have spent $15 on a single light bulb in here but I run a tidy house. Sold! read more

Parked right up front. Walked in with our dead BR25 can light bulb. We were immediately greeted by friendly owner who went in the back and came back with a box. He gave us a deal and we walked out with a box of 7. We just got home and the bulb is a perfect fit--I feel so handy! After my last nightmare experience at Home Depot, I will be coming here for all my light bulb needs! Why did I waste so much time at that other terrible box store? Pretty much the same sad story when it comes to service. I love to support local businesses when I can but the staff/owners/Abby make that very difficult. I have visited the store on numerous occasions and have been met with irritation on every visit. It's almost as if you are bothering them just by showing up and trying to get them to do their job. My recent visit will be my last as it just isn't worth it to deal with people like that these days especially with the existence of next day delivery. Never again and they very rarely have what you need and try to get you to buy what they have in stock even if it isn't what you asked for and try to convince you it will work better. I've fallen for this twice and the bulb did not work for the job that I explained and they will give you a hard time when you try to return it. read more

Went here to purchase these somewhat hard-to-find fluorescent light bulbs that fit inside my bathroom fan fixtures. They didn't have them in stock and the woman behind the counter tried to sell me another, similar-looking bulb. Problem was, the bulb she was trying to sell me had two prongs and the bulbs that I needed have three prongs. So, in essence, they wouldn't fit. Anyone knows that - or so you would think. Got the saleswoman to order the bulbs; she said she'd call me when they were in. Seven days later she calls me and says they couldn't order the bulbs because they don't make them anymore. Ms. Light Bulb Warehouse was none-too-pleasant about it, either - as if I'd deliberately sent her on some wild goose chase looking for a phantom, non-existent light bulb just for kicks or something. When I got off the phone I did what I should have done in the first place: I typed in the name and serial number of the light bulb I was looking for on Google. About a dozen websites immediately came up that were selling the light bulb I was looking for. I ordered the bulbs and they arrived via USPS three days later - which is four days quicker than it took charm girl to call me back to tell me the light bulbs don't exist anymore. read more

I've been a customer for more than a decade and have always relied on Abby to have the answer when I bring in my burned out bulb and ask "what's this" and "do you stock it". She's a walking catalog, knows 95% of bulbs on sight and can also offer less expensive or more energy efficient alternatives. She can do the same if I bring in a bulbless fixture. Received a quote on 30 lighting fixtures for resale. When we went to purchase, we were told we could only order in quantities of 50. After they told us that, they stopped responding to emails and wouldn't answer phone calls. About a couple of weeks later, we finally got a hold of Abby.
