My experience with ER Electric was really bad. I went with them because their reviews were so good but the negative reviews aligned with my experience.  TLDR:  - random cancellations, no shows, and no response when trying to reschedule - still has not provided a receipt for my $3000 payment, after having asked numerous times - shady payments via zelle. His bank kept rejecting my payments and I ended up having to pay his wife's zelle account (??)  Long version: Romo took almost 2 months to complete my project of replacing the subpanel, adding a 20 amp circuit, and repairing any damaged drywall. He and his team cancelled/ no showed on my tenant more than 5 times and was super unresponsive when scheduling. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I had my whole panels upgraded. Job itself was done in a solid quality. But several things stand out: 1. Pressured to pay full prices upfront. But since I pay upfront, the communication was very lacking, and it seemed that they forgot about me and were not in a hurry as they already got my money. I had to take all initiatives by phone calls and emails to push the job moving on. 2. Dry wall and stucco repair are not satisfactory. They gave me a low quote online, but during the site visit, they tried to upsell me for thousands of dollars in supposed "code violations" that turned out to be completely false. Romo claimed my previous electrical work wasn't up to code, but when I confirmed with the licensed solar company that originally did the installation, they verified everything was compliant and had already passed inspection. The original project was only a few hundred dollars, yet they tried to inflate it into a much larger job by creating problems that didn't exist. I called Romo on a Saturday due to the power to half my house going out after having a Heatpump system being installed by a noteable HVAC company. We lost power to a third of our home Thursday afternoon. We called a highly rated Electric company near us, they came out that day. Nice guy, he did an assessment but couldn't determine the cause. Said we need a full diagnostic because the wiring in our house is old or likely done incorrectly from prev owners. We already knew that to be true, but then he estimated $1800 for the diagnostic, just to determine what's wrong. That seemed unreasonably high. So we wanted a second opinion, and called Emergency Response Electric that night and spoke to Romo. He came by first thing the next morning. Did an assessment, couldnt find the cause either but didnt charge us for the visit. He said he can have his guys come in the afternoon, find the cause and fix it for $180. The 3-man crew came that afternoon, an hour early no less, which surprised us as we weren't home yet. But they waited for us as we came back home 15 min later. We explained the issue, and the guys came in and were amazingly fast checking all our outlets and elec panel within 15-20 min. They found the issue, there was a short in one of our switches. They fixed it pretty quickly and were out in just an hour. It was such a relief we didn't pay $1800 just to find a $100 wire short. Honestly, fastest service we ever had and the fix worked! They mentioned a few issues they noticed, and some we knew about but just didn't get around to it.
