To start off with the location is excellent it's basically in the heart of Annapolis! The service was great. Our server was really nice. She always came back to the table with a smile. We went during a really busy time... It was the St. Patrick's Day parade however, this didn't hinder any of the service! They adjusted and adapted an excellent fashion. They had green mimosas for the occasion and it just so happen to be restaurant week. Unfortunately, they couldn't do any customizations on the restaurant week menu so I couldn't order off of that menu. However, babe did and his food was really good! I ordered off of the main menu. They had a five dollar crab dip which was excellent and the Mimosa's were also five dollars. These these are/were specials that we're going on which we took advantage of since I couldn't do restaurant week. So the restaurant week lunch came with two courses. The first course was a cinnamon bun and Babe got the California omelette and it came with potatoes. The California omelette is also on the main menu. I got the chef scramble with a side of hashbrowns. It was very delicious. The crab dip came with nice crispy chips and bread. The bread was really good. A little hard on the outside and soft on the inside which is exactly what I'm looking for. The crab dip was a home run! If you're craving a crab dip, I would definitely run don't walk too the lighthouse bistro!! The ambience was cute and clean! Love Light House Bistro! I love a social entrepreneur food venture that is done well, and this was a treat! The staff was great, the food was great, and the location was perfect for where I was in Annapolis for the day. We opted to sit at the bar for breakfast, nice and quiet but still in the mix of things. I ordered the bread pudding ($6 and worth every penny!) thinking it would be small - it was more than enough for a full breakfast / dessert! My friend got an omelet and also really enjoyed it. We stumbled upon Light House Bistro for breakfast as it was just away from the hotel we were staying at. We were seated right away. Our sever was helpful and made suggestions on a sandwich to try. I had the salmon avocado toast. It was good, and a large portion for the price. My husband had the the BLT which was served on a biscuit and also had a fried green tomato with garlic aioli. My sister and I came here on a Saturday around 11:30am to celebrate my birthday. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is cute inside. It is a smaller restaurant, but there's quite a few tables, a bar area, and a place to buy coffee as soon as you walk in. My sister ordered the Breakfast Nachos (house friend tortillas, sausage gravy, salsa, cheddar, jalapeños, scrambled eggs). The portion was huge! There was a ton of egg, chips, and gravy. She loved it. I ordered the California Wrap (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, tomato, cheddar, avocado) with home fries. The wrap was delicious. It was stuffed with eggs and fixings. The home fries were okay. They were crispy like I like, but they needed salt or some kind of seasoning. Our server was very polite. We always had refills and she checked in on us from time to time. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and definitely want to return to try other dishes. We parked at the Park Place Garage (behind Miss Shirley's) and it was about a minute walk to the restaurant. There is also a parking garage across from Miss Shirley's (West Garrett Garage) and a garage down the street and around the corner from Light House Bistro (Knighton Garage). We stayed overnight in Annapolis and ate breakfast at this very nice place. The food is well prepared and served by friendly and accommodating Staff. The omelette was very good, and the potatoes were perfect. They serve Starbucks coffee that came fresh and hot. The beneits were mini jelly doughnuts. I know that kind of what a beneit is, except not really, so I'd not recommend them. The pancake kit came with pancake syrup we didn't want, and in its place came an extra generous portion of homemade jam. We look forward to using it to make a pancake breakfast at home. Lighthouse Bistro is a solid brunch place which surprises you with a bunch of inspirational quotes all over the wall. I think the smoked salmon avocado toast is one of the best I've had at a solid 5. The bread is crunchy and everything else is so fresh that it just melts in your mouth. The English muffin sandwiches I'd give a 4. Nothing too fancy but overall solid. All in all, given the great decor with a whimsical balance of furniture and moving quotes, I'll definitely be back. read more

All things I love in a restaurant, yet doesn't quite work for me. Still, can't give it less than 4 stars knowing this is a charity too. The place is super cute and very yuppy. We were there during brunch and the place was full of families, couples and friends out for mimosas and Sunday drinks. The downside is this made it very loud. I could hardly talk to my daughter. My daughter didn't want breakfast, so she got a grilled cheese with fries. I ordered a cheeseburger with remoulade on the side. Food was just okay. The ketchup tastes homemade and probably organic. Fancy, but I didn't love it. I also didn't love the homemade pickles. They serve water on the table, which I always love, but this was room temperature and I prefer ice water, particularly on a hot summer day. Fries were tasty and burger was cooked well. Tables have plaques from people who contributed and inspirational quotes on walls. I'm still not sure exactly the cause (train homeless for jobs I think), but I think it's great when a place can be a solid restaurant and help the community! read more

We stopped in with a semi large party (6 plus a toddler) without a reservation so knew we'd have an issue finding a place right away. We had already been turned away at a restaurant down the street so ended up here afterwards. When we came in and told the manager our plight, he immediately told us that he would figure something out to was make it work. We were very thankful to not have to wait a super long amount of time with it being so last minute, so that was very nice of them to accommodate us. I loved the decor of this place, especially the pun walls throughout the restaurant - climbing the ladder, windows of opportunity, etc. Very cute idea and it made me giggle when I realized there were so many throughout the place! Service nice and swift! Menu had a lot of great options and it took me forever to decide, but I eventually chose the burger. Other dining partners ordered burgers, salads, hash. My burger was massive and juicy when it came out, with an excellent side of delicious fries. My boyfriend ordered a salad and as soon as I saw it come out, I was like "uh oh" because it was SO SMALL. I believe he got the shredded chicken salad and I was honestly surprised that it was an entree salad, I knew that wouldn't be enough of a meal for him. Thankfully my burger was so large that there was no way I could eat the whole thing, so I gave him half and he was happy with that after he scarfed the salad in only a few bites. Another dining partner also got the same salad and it wasn't large enough for her either, so she took some of my sister's turkey burger to supplement. Overall the food was good and the service was lovely. Portion sizes just seemed off as you compare a massive burger with a tiny salad. I'd say this was more of a 3.5 star experience, but the willingness of the staff to get us in the restaurant quickly to accommodate us is what warrants the 4 stars. read more

New favorite place for brunch in DTA! Also they offer weekday AND weekend brunch. I CAN FINALLY GET BRUNCH ON A WEDNESDAY!! Let me start by saying the mission of this place is so touching. I love the concept behind it and it makes me more inclined to dine here. The food was great! I ordered the French toast ($8) and 2 egg scramble ($7) and wow I could not finish my food. It was so much food. The portion sizes are great and the food tasted wonderful. The French toast was so flavorful and it was the best I've ever had. The 2 egg scramble was also tasty and a great balance to the sweet french toast. My mom got the fig and goat cheese flatbread which was very yummy. The service was also great. Our waiter was very attentive, kind, and personable. He got all of our orders correct and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food. The inside is nice and there's a decent amount of seating indoors. The menu has a nice selection of items so there's something for everyone. An amazing find--as we were touring historic Annapolis! We loved that they serve brunch until 3 pm! The California omelette and Pick 3 omelette were fantastic. We also liked the fact that we could substitute fruit for the potatoes (although the potatoes looked great!) All this, and a cute decor with inspiring signs--like the "ladders to success"! It was a beautiful day and we were on our way to meet our favorite couple halfway between our homes. Parking was a little bit farther from the restaurant then some may like but again it was a nice day and we didn't mind walking a block or two. We walked into the tiny little gem greeted with plenty of hand sanitizer. All staff were properly wearing a mask and very kind. We were escorted to our table and given an option of which table we preferred, which I liked might I add. Our friends ran a little late but our server was very nice about it. When they arrived, the server promptly came over to greet us and take our drink orders. We bonded over us both being bourbon drinkers and our server also made excellent recommendations for food as well. Our drinks came out shortly and we laughed and enjoyed the scenery as we waited a short while for our food. My meatloaf hash was pretty tasty. If I'm being honest, I could have eaten a larger portion, but I won't penalize the restaurant for my very large appetite. It was very tasty might I add which may be the reason I could have eaten more. My friends got the chicken and waffles which was a very large portion. The food was priced well. My fiancée let me taste her crab cake sandwich and it was delicious. I would definitely visit again as this place was cozy. The food was well priced and not to mention delicious. read more

Food has always been good. I always order their Maryland Benny, but always find the crab very very sparse for the horrific $22 cost, acquiescing to the charity of their mission. But Today I asked for extra crab due to being "premade patties" my fault for not asking assuming a $5 or exorbitant $9 charge. ....not even close....the charge was $18 for what was most apparently quickly hand packed large party grilled and plated; on which I only see 1/3 of that size on my bennies. Come here to support a great mission! Light House Bistro is an extension of the Light House Shelter, and strives to provide job training for at risk and homeless in the community. We had dinner here and were impressed by the food and the portion sizes. They could do a better job advertising their happy hour, by having a happy hour menu or posting online about it. The happy hour is not just at the bar, and it's $5 drafts and house wines as well as 1/2 of appetizers (not including flatbreads). The meatloaf sliders were really good. The only thing that was disappointing about the food was that the fried jalapenos on top of the crab dip were not at all crispy, just kind of soggy. Our server was okay, a bit on the inattentive side, but the host was very friendly and checked on us a few times. The decor inside is really nice, kind of a farm ambience with ladders and succulents and the occasional inspirational quote. Parking in the area can be tricky, but food, prices, and portions are solid. We have heard great things about their breakfast as well. read more

I came here for lunch on a Wed with a colleague now that we're both back in the office. We both ordered sandwiches and the service was good. They weren't too busy either so the service was fast. The sandwiches are hearty and will fill you up if you're hungry, and give you leftovers if you're not! The crab cake is lightly seasoned which I prefer so you can really taste the freshness. Cute adorable local bistro/lunch/brunch spot with in house baked goods, pancake mixes to go, and some pretty spot on cocktail and alcohol choices for a breakfast-heavy location. The menu does seem to adjust a bit so don't get married to what you see on Yelp. They have featured seasonal items like a crab cake Benedict that wasn't too shabby with fried green tomato and hollandaise sauce. The fries were excellent, well seasoned and crispy, perfect for sharing. The meat loaf was the weakest dish at the table, light on flavor and just underwhelming. I regretted not getting the Cinnabon style French toast which my now ex-friend informed me was every bit as good as I imagined it. Jokes aside, service was slow but very friendly and attentive. Don't be in a rush and be kind to this local restaurant that does a lot of good and giving back in Annapolis. We called ahead for reservations for a large party and they were incredibly patient and accommodating. 5 stars deserved! read more
