We bought our 2015 Enclave from Dane Zeller. When we decided to replace it with a new Buick, there has no hesitation in going back to Dane and Lighthouse to buy our new 2019 Enclave. I can't redeem to 5 stars after my initial experience(s) however, if the quality of service I had received from the start had been congruent with the level of care received on the tail end, I would have certainly been happy to share that to begin with, instead of the negative. In fairness, as a follow up to my first review - I do absolutely care to share the 'good' too. As well, to maintain integrity and continue to only share honestly. I'm not sure if the treatment change resulted from me writing a public review, but, since then the 1st free oil change (after some back and forth) - was taken care of. The service department folks who took care of me and my car were wonderful. Specifically, Julie and Cole, the Service Advisor - who was extremely kind and genuinely seemed to care about my experience. Also after some back and forth, the windshield agreement has been satisfied. Again, thanks to Cole, whom I appreciated for stepping in to not only solve the issues, but treat me and my experience as something that mattered. The collision center took care of my windshield replacement, and did a great job. Riley assured it would be done same day and it was, promptly. My experience over there was also pleasant. Maybe all genuine, or just due to my first review, but in any case - I'm not looking to complain for the sake of it. The issues were ultimately all resolved, and for that I'm thankful. read more

Horrible service. I took my daughter's car in twice for the fan for the air and defroster not working. The first time I picked it up Larry told me it was fixed and what they did. When I started the car at the dealership it still didn't work. And then it was suddenly oh ya, we have to order you a new blower mower and they are on back order. Several months later still no contact from the dealership. I called and Larry said I didn't know you still wanted that and he would order one. After the part came in, we made an appointment for my daughter's car over Christmas break for the new blower motor (and I got her 100,000 maintenance service early). I told Larry my daughter, and her car, were 15 hours away at college, but I would have her drive home to get it serviced from a dealership I trust. I got three calls and texts to make sure I was keeping my appointment. She drove it home and I took it for service. After they kept it for the day, they told me they didn't have the blower motor. They said it was broken. I was very upset that they would allow my daughter to drive the car 15 hours without checking to make sure they had the part. I was told they get thousands of parts and cannot check them all. I said I think allowing someone to drive 15 hours in December for service to get a fan that blows the air for heat and the defroster is dangerous. On the way back to school my daughter called because the check engine light came on. After just getting her 100,000 service completed at Lighthouse she needed to have her battery replaced in Nashville. I will never go back to Lighthouse, not even for service on the new vehicle I purchased 4 months before this. The last comments from Larry were, please don't leave a review. Not I am sorry. Not I can still get the blower motor and get it fixed before the winter break is over. Not safe travels. Just, please don't leave a review. Normally I wouldn't even bother leaving a review for a car dealership, but when I was considering buying this truck 1800 miles from where I live I did find comfort in seeing they had almost a perfect 5 star rating! So moving forward with the truck I got in touch with one of the sales people and was told the truck was available but currently being driven by one of the employees working there. Was put in touch with him and he FaceTimed with me. The truck was in great shape and made the deposit to hold it. Moving forward with financing and getting paperwork documented, signed, notarized,etc.... It was about a two week process. Very poor communication after they received the check from my bank and then it took a while to get it shipped here( not their fault). I asked for it to be serviced before it was sent to me because they advertised it with 49k and it now was at 51k which affects the value on Kelly blue book. Under 50k in miles makes a difference in what it books out at. Anyway I received the vehicle with a dead battery after only three days of being on a trailer and it was not serviced. I'm sure the employee enjoyed putting about 3000 miles on for nothing but cost of fuel. Oh yeah the DEF was only at a quarter tank. So now Im going to get it serviced because it has almost 52k and have the truck's batteries checked and throughly gone through. Still haven't heard back from the salesman after I left a message for him and texted him. Basically they are your typical dealership with a catchy slogan of how honest and religious they are. They're there to make money, duh... So I guess my issues were a vehicle with higher miles than advertised, truck not being completely serviced before receiving, and most annoying of all is the horrible intermittent communication!! I never felt like a priority during this whole process. You would think spending 70k plus on a vehicle would get you some VIP treatment but I also felt like they think I was ripping them off and it was a privilege to even be doing business with them. I had the hands-down, best vehicle buying experience at Lighthouse Buick GMC. I had been looking for a new/used truck for over two years (across the country!?!) due to escalating truck prices/shortages. I finally found the vehicle I wanted, at the price I was comfortable with, at Lighthouse. I live in Maryland and submitted an online request for more information on a used truck I saw advertised on their website. Keith Edelman from their sales department called me and answered all my questions about it. We reviewed pricing and I asked for a quote to be emailed to me. I received the quote shortly thereafter, exactly as we discussed. I placed a down payment on the truck to hold it while I arranged final steps in financing and a pick up date. A family medical issue prevented me from picking the vehicle up immediately. When I arrived on their lot several days later, my truck was waiting -- cleaned and fueled. When I went into the showroom to sign papers and complete the transaction, I was amazed at the atmosphere!?! There was Christian music playing in the background, free Bibles and Christian CDs on a tabletop and well stocked drink and snack area! Everyone was calm and relaxed. Keith Edelman met me and showed me all the ins and outs of the truck and assisted me in getting my phone connected to the truck for sharing apps and making calls. We then went in to review purchasing details and everything matched exactly as described! Bart Rinkenberger (a general manager) happened into the office and introduced himself. We chatted for a few minutes. I commented on how impressed I was with the whole deal process, with Keith and especially with the showroom and Christian values on display! He humbly accepted my review. He noted he heard about my family medical issue and asked how the family member was faring. When I replied that progress was slow, he asked if it was okay if we prayed together for them. Being a Christian myself, I readily accepted his offer and he led us in a heartfelt prayer. I was amazed and thanked him! Keith then handed me over to Brett Miller, a business manager, to sign all the documents. Brett explained each document and I happily chose to electronically sign them with copies being sent to my email address, which I can easily store for safekeeping. Brett also reviewed various additional protection packages for which there was no heavy pressure or fear-invoking stories to purchase. Keith installed a temporary tag and handed me the keys to my new ride. After getting into the vehicle and driving away, I noticed a small issue with the windshield. When I went back to report it to Keith, he immediately called their service/collision department and Eric Johnston got me squared away quickly - for which I am grateful, since I live in Maryland. The whole process from clicking on the "Ask a question" on the web page, to working the deal, to signing the papers, to picking up the truck -- everything was incredibly smooth and customer focused with no hidden surprises. My only regret is that I don't live closer to receive future scheduled service! I told them that is ridiculous to spend that kind of money on a warrany to only cover one item. the owner reached out and said that they don't have any warranty that only covered one item and I agreed but he told me that he would offer a discount for all my services needed which really wasn't a discount at all since I felt betrayed by them since the service manager lied about the warranty in the first place. There was an additional salesman that literally walked into myself and my 9 year old daughter, causing us to move out of "his" way. My keys hit and scratched a new truck on their floor. The guy just kept on walking and didn't say a word. They took over an hour to appraise my current truck. Offer came in lower than KBB. I brought in my Buick for a warranty service and had a couple other light maintenance issues done at the same time. The staff was so professional from start to finish. I received a loaner car for the day and was asked if a certain type was okay. It was a larger SUV than I am used to so he quickly made a call and was able to give me something much smaller. The work was completed really quickly and correctly plus they had some rebates on things I had done so got all my paperwork ready for those. The only item that wasn't 100% is that they don't pull your car up for you, you walk out into their lot to find it. It seems sort of industry standard to have the car outside the main doors but maybe their set-up isn't the right layout for that. I will definitely be back for all my Buick related needs! read more

They don't practice what they preach. Their business cards have their strategic values and #1 is "the Bible will be our compass and our guide." That was not the case and here are just a couple of examples. I asked if the car was a rental, as stated on the Carfax and was told no repeatedly, even after I pointed it out on the report. There was no warranty information provided and when I asked if it had been voided I was told not to worry about it. When I asked if he could check he told me to call a Toyota dealership and ask them. After having searched online for 6 weeks and visiting different dealerships, this place really felt awesome as we walked in the door. I had searched online for 2 months looking for trucks that met my criteria...then Saturday afternoon I found the truck. I ran the vin and it confirmed the truck was all it was supposed to be so I called the dealership. It was 5 mins before they closed. I was lucky to be transferred to Kent Wiegand. He took my call and was VERY informative and helpful. Kent stayed late to answer my questions and provided a level of service that left no question unanswered. This sealership is more than two hours away from me. Not wanting to lose this truck I asked Kent is there any reason I will get there and not like the truck. He assured me that if I made a deposit and didn't like the truck it was completely refundable. He let me know of one small dent. I said if thats the only issue let's proceed. He took my payment followed up with me on Monday and offered to send a driver down to pick me up on Tuesday. I didn't need the ride, picked up the truck Tuesday morning and it was everything he said it was. Cleaner than the pictures showed with one small dent. These employees need to learn how to put safety first! For themselves and for the drivers on the road. I drive by the business 4-5 times per day, and at least half of the times there are Lighthouse employees literally sprinting across the street, darting through traffic. Often it is before the sun comes up or goes down. They need to either 1. Use the crosswalk at the 4-way stop; 2. If they are too lazy to walk to the crosswalk, pay to have a crosswalk put in directly across from their lot; 3. Wear reflective vests so that drivers can see them; 4. Wait until traffic stops so that they aren't running in between moving cars. Every day I am so frustrated to see this, especially now that there is snow/ice on the ground, someone is going to fall and/or get hit. PLEASE value the safety of yourself, your business, your employees, and your community! read more

My husband and I went in just looking really and the staff was extremely busy however Arlen came right out to let us know he will help us as soon as he is done with his current customers. While we waited they offered us refreshments. The dealership is very well kept and there is a sense of calmness the minute you walk in. We didn't find anything that day but I kept watching their lot and found a car, so I called he was again very helpful. He and I talked back and forth via text which was very helpful and that night he had the car waiting. After the test drive we sat and talked numbers and voila! We had to come back the next day to sign papers and again the entire staff was wonderful and kind. Jim the finance guy was so helpful and nice and knows what he is doing for sure!! Just plain and simple. Probably the easiest and most satisfying car-buying experiences I've ever had. Nick was great and kept in constant contact through emails and phone calls until we were able to travel from St. Louis to Morton, about a 3 hour drive. This dealership did not honor commitments. Sales and sales management need to come up with a policy so that cars aren't sold out from under customers! This has happened twice to me now. In March 2014, I called ahead to schedule a test drive and the sales rep didn't have the time of day due to working multiple people at the same time. I sat in the waiting area repeatedly waiting for sales rep responses. After verbal and written proof of interest in the car, the sales force needed to check with general management to "okay" getting the car checked out by my mechanic next business day. After more waiting, I wrote down my name and number so the rep could call me back since they were busy attending to other customers simultaneously. I was called after sales hours by sales rep only to be told someone put cash down to hold the same car after my appointment and discussions. I was not consulted or notified that I could put cash down to hold the car. I was not notified until after hours that the car was now sold to someone else after my verbal and written proof of interest. I am extremely disappointed in sales management and general management for letting this happen. This is not acceptable. Customers should come first. Where is your customer loyalty? This is coming from someone that thought Lighthouse's service department was top notch...you clearly have some work to do in the Sales Department!
