Well I don't know anything of the previous owners/dentists, but Dr Koster was very responsive today in seeing me after my temporary crown was dislodged. I was visiting family in town and a friend of ours recommended him. He called me back on Saturday evening and scheduled me in Sunday am. He made a special trip in with his wife to assist in making a new one that fit better than my dentist did in Florida. Unbelievable service that you just don't see anymore. From my husband.... My wife, daughter and I have been longtime clents here. We arrived today for end of year cleaning and check up. I needed A-sharp break in my tooth filed down. Our appointments were scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. My wife had another appointment at 2:30 p.m. so she needed to be seen 1st. She explained the situation to the young lady who called me back 1st but we were told that the appointments could not be switched around and I was the 1st one so my wife was forced to cancel her appointment with your office because her other appointment was for a serious health issue. This was disappointing because the original appointments were scheduled For her to go 1st. There was no apology and in fact it seemed the young ladies at the front were annoyed. My daughter and I stayed on for our appointments but the doctor didn't check any of my other teeth. He only filed down the one tooth that was bad. There was no check up. On top of that the girl cleaning my teeth was speaking in Spanish to somebody else up at the front and I could hear her talking about me saying that I was a grumpy customer and she was gonna make me wait longer to get my teeth cleaned. It took me over an hour to get my teeth cleaned and get a simple file job done on my tooth. She also repeatedly pulled on my mustache during the cleaning despite my protests.. I am super disappointed and I will be finding another dentist for my family, this includes my mother, father, both my brothers and their families. This office will lose a lot of business because your new crew doesn't have simple customer service training and your new dr cuts corners. Like other reviewers this review is not for Dr. Lim and his assistant, Sierra, but rather for the front office staff. I, too, had an 8am appt. and showed up, as directed, at 7:45 to fill out paperwork. When I arrived I noticed someone standing at the back door of the building and figured they would be let in when the key master showed up. 30 minutes later I circled the building to see her still standing there, freezing. When I inquired what was happening I was told the person with the keys to the building was on the way. I invited the poor young lady to sit in my warm car as it was 11 degrees outside! I then learned that the entire time this girl had been standing outside her coworker sat in her warm car merely 15 yards away and never extended and invitation to her coworker to sit in her warm car. The woman with the keys to the building finally showed up at 8:45 because "traffic was so bad coming in from Denver". While I can appreciate Dr. Lim and Sierra trying to downplay how unprofessional the morning had gone there is no way you can excuse leaving a coworker out in the cold like that. The morale at this practice is non-existent and I cannot support a practice that can't even employ people who can be decent to each other. Lighthouse Dental is a horrific dental practice in which the only constant is the level of unprofessional behavior they treat their patients with. I went into Lighthouse Dental the week of Dec. 31, 2020 to get a mouth guard for nighttime teeth grinding. I was assured that the mouth guard would be ready in a week. This was a big deal to me because at the time I was 35 weeks pregnant and didn't want to deal with any chores close to/after my delivery. The fitting for the mouth guard should have been a sign in itself to run. I had no less than 5 molds of my mouth taken, by 3 different staff members. It was as if it was the first time someone had received this service there. After weeks of me calling and being told that they were 'out of materials' and it 'would be ready shortly,' I picked it up the week of Feb. 1, 2020. I had to be the one to continuously call to check on my product. No one ever proactively called me to inform me about the delay, or even when the mouth guard was ready and at the office. At this time I was 39 weeks pregnant. I got home and tried the mouth guard on- big shocker, it didn't fit at all. I called the office and requested a refund, because if you pay for a custom fit medical device and it doesn't fit, then you shouldn't have to pay for it- right? Lighthouse Dental doesn't see it that way. I was told that they wouldn't refund it because 'it had been in my mouth.' WHAT?! Of course it had been, it's a mouth guard! And what does it matter that it had been in my mouth, how could they possibly reuse it? I was understandably upset about getting a $450 mouth guard made and told tough luck that it didn't fit. I asked to talk to someone that could assist me further with the matter. I was assured that I would get a call back, which never happened. I went into labor on Feb. 4, so obviously the last thing that I wanted to deal with was a scam artist disguised as a dental office. I called back on Feb.9 and as told that the office manager was out of the office and would be contacting me when she returned. That never happened. I called again and was told that a dentist would be calling me. That never happened. I called again and was promised that I would be called back by the end of the day. That never happened. Lighthouse Dental made zero effort to handle this issue in a professional capacity. I think they were hoping that if they ignored me I would forget about it. The receptionist kept insisting she was 'just the messenger and that there was nothing else that could be done,' finally told me that they could refund me half of what the insurance didn't cover, what I had paid out of pocket, or I could come in and they would adjust the device. She said that devices needing adjustments was normal, which is the first that I had heard of that and would have been fine if the device was delivered in the timeline it was promised and I didn't have a week old baby. These 'solutions' are problematic for 3 reasons: 1) If you pay for something that is a custom fit medical device and it doesn't fit, then literally it belongs in the garbage. It is throwing my money away. 2) I have a newborn and was told by my daughter's pediatrician to stay at home. She does not have her immunizations yet and, as we are all well aware, we are in a pandemic. I am not going into a dental office right now, which is exactly why I made every effort to have this dealt with before birth. 3) At this point why in the world would I want to work with these people? Every interaction with the office was more unprofessional than the last. Lighthouse Dental is nothing more than a scam, they don't care about their patients and they definitely don't care about doing the right thing. I called my insurance company and they told me that Lighthouse Dental is committing insurance fraud by not delivering an item that was billed to them. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge as I did not receive the product I paid for. It shouldn't be that hard to do the right thing. Insisting that I come in and 'give them a chance to make it right,' by getting the device adjusted is laughable as they have treated me like dirt for 2 months now throughout this entire situation. Them even proposing that I risk a newborns health on an entirely avoidable situation that they created and escalated is irresponsible and insulting. I would avoid this place at all costs. You deserve better, we all do. read more

It was an absolutely amazing experience -- such a friendly staff and even friendlier dentist, all in a beautiful facility. The waiting room was spacious, covid friendly, and aesthetically appealing. The technicians were very professional and welcoming, and the dentist was incredibly thorough, comforting, and non-judgmental (considering I hadn't been to the dentist in 2 years!) he sat with me and fully evaluated everything, answered all of my questions, and provided one-on-one professional, compassionate, and qualified care. I'll start off this review with the positives: the first time I came into lighthouse dental was in the beginning of the pandemic (end of February 2020) . They got me in on short notice when they were only seeing a limited number of patients because one of my fillings fell out and they fixed it. I have also had some good and thorough cleanings there. The negatives: the first visit I had there I tried to schedule an appointment for a new crown to be made and placed, and this STILL has not happened (as of October 20th 2021) I have been in 5-6 times since then and each time I ask them if they have the crown made and if they are ready to schedule the procedure and every time they tell me they have no idea what I'm talking about because none of this is in my notes?!!! I've seen the same dentist every time?? Amnesia or complete disregard for my well-being as a patient, as this is causing jaw problems for me since I am missing a tooth for 2+ years now and only chew food on the other side of my mouth and am also developing gaps between my teeth surrounding the missing one which I have told them. They also lost and important piece of material from my surgeon that they need in order to make the crown and did nothing to rectify that situation. I spoke to them about the lost material in person as well as on the phone multiple times and was told each time that they would have someone call me back by the end of the day and I never got a single call. On top of all of this, on 3 separate occasions I have shown up for a scheduled appointment that I confirmed over an email that THEY sent me at the specified date and time just for them to tell me that they don't have my appointment in their system and that I would need to make a new appointment and come back another day. I am EXTREMELY tired of and frustrated with this business and won't be wasting my time any longer. Would give 0 stars if I could and if my first visit and cleanings weren't decent. read more

Okay actually pretty horrified after reading all of these reviews claiming that they were told they randomly had a bunch of cavities because that's exactly what happened to me even though I've only had one cavity in my entire life I apparently had almost 10 even though I take regular care of my teeth? The doctor seemed cool and knowledgeable but some weird things happened: 1. They would just leave my room randomly for like 10 minutes at a time without letting me know what was happening 2. The dentist let what I assume was the assistant actually do the fillings and it was clear that she didn't really have the technical knowledge to do them because she had to do things with multiple attempts and was talking the entire procedure to another lady who randomly strolled in. 3. While she was talking she just casually admitted that she hadn't done any schooling to learn what she was doing-like why admit that when you're holding a drill in my mouth? Also she talked about how the other lady shouldn't worry about being "too careful" yeah that's probably why I have a pebble sized ball in my lip right now from her tugging and pulling at it. I'm not even sure what to do but I need to find another dentist ASAP to make sure no permanent damage was done. read more

If I could rate zero stars I would. DO NOT go here. I was a new patient and I showed up on time for my appointment. They did not tell me to arrive early to fill out paper work so by 8:30 I had finished the paperwork and was about to start the "cleaning" I was scheduled for. They made many comments of how my appointment was at 8am and that it was "my fault" they were running behind. The assistant was kind and started by polishing my teeth. As she was polishing my teeth the cord holding the hand-piece was laying across my face and pushing uncomfortably on my glasses. During this process the assignment was leaving over my head to reach the opposite side of my mouth and her breasts were pressed up against my head. It was very uncomfortable. Afterwards the doctor came in to check my X-rays and to finish up the "cleaning". She began to scrape my front teeth. It was very harsh and uncomfortable. She did this for about 5 minutes and said goodbye. She did not scrape/clean all my teeth like you are supposed to. After the appointment I learned that they do not have a hygienist on the team and that is why the doctor cleaned my teeth. Dental hygienists go to school to learn how to clean teeth. The dentists do not. If you want your teeth cleaned properly you need them to be cleaned by a dental hygienist and not by a dentist who will painfully scrape your teeth for 5 minutes and call it good. So I used to like this office but it has gone downhill. Every time that I have called the girls upfront are all rude. Today they kept interrupting me. When I asked her to stop being rude, she put me on hold without telling me and then hung up. Her name was Stephanie. When I called back I spoke to Sophia and she didn't have a rude tone but she too kept talking over me and interrupting me, just because she talked in a soft tone she thought it was okay to interrupt the customer/patient, I worked for a dentist and I have friends that are dentist. Dentist gets referral by word of mouth. Im appalled the way these girls spoke to me. I got calls every day the past couple of days and I even have an email confirmation. But when I called to confirm my appointment. They insist I was not on the schedule. They sound like not only do they need customer service training also training on how to work their system. Why did I get calls and email that state the date and time of my appointment? I think those girls canceled my appointment. And this was not even the first time. Before the pandemic, I had schedule my appointment 6 months in advanced. The date/time came. I showed up and they canceled my appointment. I have email to show proof I have an appointment. As if that wasn't frustrating enough. The customer service is what is unbelievable to me. These are people the office hired to present them. Don't do it guys. The place itself doesn't look bad and looks clean and decent. But all around they are very disorganized and rude! This kind of rude service is not okay. Don't give them your business! If I could I would give it zero stars. Does not even deserve 1 star. I liked my old dentist. The dentist retired and I was looking for a new place. I should of ran. Thought I'd give them a second chance. Believe all the bad reviews! People aren't lying! Now why would I give your business another chance when those receptionists/assistants were pretty darn rude. It feels pretty degrading. No thanks. I don't need to take any Bull shit from employees you guys hire that can't treat people professionally and curtesy. I went in for a cleaning and it was fine - nothing amazing, but not awful. The part that got super awkward - apparently the dentist's wife had lost her wallet recently, and I had the same Target wallet. Essentially, he thought I may have stolen his wife's wallet even though, as he admitted, mine was really old looking and worn. I was uncomfortable at some of the comments he made, and his general vibe, but we were already halfway into the appointment so I didn't want to leave/pay without getting my teeth cleaned. So me and the wife went to this place to have cleanings done as they accepted insurance from my current job, we supposedly both had cavities which I found suspect as we both take meticulous care of our teeth and I had done dental with the Army only a few months before and had no issues. Chose to have work done on my teeth at this point in time due to them being able to fit it in, that was a horrible, horrible mistake. The work that was done on one of my teeth was atrociously bad, I remember feeling the giant section of tooth that was removed for a small cavity and the instant feeling of terror that they were destroying one of my teeth whimsically. Well, I was unfortunately correct on the tooth being destroyed.. roughly 3 months down the road the side of the tooth broke off around the filling due to the amount of tooth that had been removed. I went back to an Army dentist to get it fixed and they marveled at what a terrible job had been done on the tooth. Luckily it was able to be repaired by skilled hands but this turned into a horrible experience, to make it worse yet I am rather confident that I never had an issue to begin with but was hit with what I would describe as shady car shop tactics. To make matters even worse my wife wound up having to pay out of pocket significantly after the fact, was told up front that everything would be covered at the time only to get messaged months later with an attempt to collect on additional amounts. This place is not to be trusted, if you go here you will be seen as a target to be stolen from. This place is a den of dishonest thieves lying in wait to lie to you and steal from you. Absolutely awful service! Never return messages, the hours posted are incorrect, and the front office staff is incredibly unhelpful! I've never experienced a lower level of customer service or lack of professionalism. At one point, they were great, they saw me years back for an emergency extraction and I loved them for it. Ever since then, the service has been atrocious. I had to return multiple times for them to correct their own mistakes, a waste of my own time and money on what should have been simple procedures. It came to a point where I stopped going to them at all, not trusting them to provide me with quality service or their judgment regarding my treatments. i was honestly scared they would do more damage then good if I continued being seen by them. I'm sure the dentist himself is fine, but I'm always subjected to the care of the incompetent and sloppy technicians, so I really can't say. I've been three times and each time I've encountered an issue. From being forgotten on my FIRST visit back, not being called after multiple teeth treated within three hours (but they were closing so that's okay to them - luckily the Doc actually called after the weekend), and now misinformed on meds... I have never felt the need to say poor things about a place of business but this dental office was SO awful (except for Sophia) that they not only forgot every appointment that I needed prescriptions and Nitrus due to PTSD from sexual abuse at a former dentist. They never had anything ready, tried to ignore my voicemails since I paid for everything up front and only rescheduled after I made the effort. One of the technicians asked me about my abuse in detail. This experience was horrific and I will never come back to this dental office again. They all need to care more about the patient and less about how much they are inconvenienced. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. I arrived five minutes before my appointment time expecting that I would have to fill out paperwork being a new patient. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in. Neither of the girls sitting at the desk were wearing their masks properly and they didn't have a separate container for clean or dirty pens. I finished my paperwork, handed it to the front desk girl, and sat down to wait. It had been more than half an hour since my scheduled appointment time and two patients who arrived after me were taken back before me. I started to get frustrated because they had me sign a paper that said I agree to be on time for my appointments or I couldn't be a patient there any longer. The paper stated that not showing up to your appointment left the doctor with an open slot that they could have filled and billed to another patient. It would be nice if they displayed the same courtesy for their patients. I finally asked how much longer it would be before I was seen. At that moment, as if they realized I was still there, they took me to a room. I sat in the room for another five minutes noticing that it didn't look to have been properly cleaned when a hygienist finally came in. She told me they would be starting the exam soon and that I needed xrays. While she was talking to me, another hygienist came in and took one of the instruments that was intended for my exam and both left the room. I waited another ten minutes without anyone ever coming to say anything to me or start my treatment. I finally just listened to my instincts and walked out. I don't want to be treated in an office that doesn't properly adhere to cleaning regulations in the midst of a pandemic. read more

Dr. Sefcik is friendly. But his receptionist is not very pleasant and has no empathy. I have to work so i generally request the latest appointment available, a few times when they call to confirm, they've changed my appointment time, without contacting me prior to check. Just call to confirm with a new time all of a sudden. And Dr. Sefcik never mentioned having an issue seeing my daughter, but the receptionist was very rude on the phone telling me it was hard and i should see a pediatric dentist instead, not just her but one of the other Dr's as well. It is very sad to make a child or their parent feel uncomfortable and mistreated. Especially because I only started taking my daughter there because i thought Dr. Sefcik was great and he's who I see. So it made things easier and familiar.. The rest of the office staff though has left a bad taste in my mouth read more

I didn't have to wait long for an appointment nor the follow up. Dr. Sefcik and Felicia did a cleaning and a temporary crown.
