The staff are very friendly, honest, and patient! and I was impressed with the look and cleanliness of the units. the climate controlled units are great, and after seeing the units that aren't climate controlled, I noticed that the temperature is still bearable! you definitely get your moneys worth here also; because, after comparing, LighthouseStorage was better overall! read more

My experience here was super easy, efficient and cost friendly. Found this local gem on Yelp. I called as soon as they opened and was warmly greeted. The woman on the phone was super helpful and pointed me in the right direction as far as renting a unit best suited to my needs goes. The entire process was quick and straightforward. When I arrived on site to handle the paperwork, I was helped by Andrea who got me in and out. She was also super helpful and made the exchange easy. I'm glad I found this place. Update: The level of customer service I've received from this facility is truly disgusting. For them to refer to this as an accident and take no responsibility is terrible. This was not an accident, an accident would be if someone hit the RV with their car while trying to back out of a space. This was an act of negligence. Lighthouse rented a unit to the man who stole the rv. The man rented the unit with the sole purpose of committing theft, and that was not an accident. I do not appreciate the fact that they did not apologize for the incident or the fact that they they wouldn't even offer to pay for the impound fees or anything. Fortunately the RV was found, however there was extensive damage and all our personal belongings were taken. This place is terrible and far from what they advertise online. And their management is a joke. They do not care what happens to your belongings. DO NOT USE this place. We stored our RV here and not only has it been broken into and tampered with several times, It has now been STOLEN! Terrible security that something that big could just be taken out without being noticed. The website refers to the location as a "secure storage facility" and that they will keep your rv or car "safe until you're ready to use it again" unfortunately they did the opposite and we may never see it again. They also said they " have video surveillance to help keep an eye on your stuff after office hours." Where was all this "security" when someone broke off all the locks and drove away with it. Terrible. Do not use this place! They only got one star because I had to. read more

Finally came to get a storage. I've called multiple times like 3 or 4x i would say and Jennifer was always gracious and kind answering all my Questions. I came today to rent my new unit and both Jennifer and her Manager were kind and friendly towards me and wiggly 4 year old. I had heard about Scott Storage from my mom's neighbor, so I checked it out. Glad I did. Bob was at the front counter and I let him know what I needed. He let me know all he had available was a coveted 10x10 on the ground floor right near the drive up garage - how could I say no? First month was about $30 and it was just north of $200 each month after that. Because I knew I'd be out of there quickly, that was actually competitive compared to other places and smaller units. The place was clean, safe, and well organized. They even played some great music (I'm an old Xennial so I appreciate the 70s-90s hits). It was hella secure - you have to enter a code and can't get in after 7pm most nights. I had NO doubt my stuff was safe and secure. The complimentary carts and roll in garage made moving the stuff in easy - and we were able to move out before our third month, and it was a quick and easy process! Can't recommend this place enough.

On the Saturday Feb 21st I received a text that said my move out was successful. Clearly confused I called and received a voicemail. I left a voicemail. With no call back. I called during the week and was told that there was no account associated with my phone number and that the unit I was inquiring about was listed to rent. I pushed for more answers and they couldn't give me any. I explained the situation. The "manager on duty" said the permanent manager would call me the following day. The next day I waited and called at 10am I was then informed that because my unit was "too big" and didn't have a lot of stuff in it they assumed I had abandoned it. And threw everything away. My daughter's new born stuff, my purses everything I had in there. Even though the person I spoke with said my deadline was March 11th. After realizing they screwed up the issue was then escalated to the regional or general manager, Matt. I spoke with Matt briefly and he apologized and owned up to the mistake. They the offered me $500 and to clear the balance that was owed. I told him I would get back to him because I was too upset to make a decision. That Monday I called him back and decided to take the amount offered even though I KNOW I could sue them for what they did. I was told I would get a call back if they would be able to refund me via check. I was also told direct deposit would be within 5-7 days and a check would be 7-10. I never got a call. Fast forward 3 weeks. Still no check or direct deposit refund. I called Matt once more. He said that Friday they would be issuing the check. We are now 2 weeks past that date still no check, still no direct deposit. All my sentimental values of my daughter are gone. Letters her father wrote me while he was in the navy.... GONE. And no sense of urgency on their part.

I went up to my unit on the 4th floor and found a heavy mice infestation throughout the entire floor. The minute I stepped out onto the elevator you could immediately smell the urine and dead rodents. Not to mention the traps are out in the open and exposed for all to see. Not only is this severally unsanitary but also very careless my management and Orkin their pest control provider. The mice were sitting on the traps long enough to begin decomposing. That's honestly what we were preparing ourselves for when we started looking for a storage unit. However, our experience with Golden State Storage in Santa Fe Springs was the complete opposite. We actually found the place by accident while driving by, and what immediately caught our attention was how clean and well-kept the property looked from the outside. The bright yellow color of the building stands out, but more importantly everything looked organized, modern, and very well maintained. That alone made us curious enough to stop in and check it out. We were looking for a storage facility close to home where we could keep some equipment, but we honestly had no idea what to expect or what the process would be like. The moment we walked into the office, Jackie greeted us and completely changed what we thought the experience would be like. She was incredibly welcoming right away. Not the forced "customer service" kind of greeting, but genuinely friendly and helpful. Jackie was amazing from start to finish. She took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure we understood how everything works. Since we had never rented a storage unit before, we had a lot of questions. She never rushed us and was extremely patient while answering every single one. She walked us through the different unit sizes, pricing, access hours, and security features so we could figure out what would work best for our needs. What really stood out is that she didn't just talk about the units from behind the desk. Jackie actually offered to walk us around the facility and show us several units in person so we could visualize the space. That made a huge difference because it helped us understand exactly what we were renting. She also showed us how to navigate the building, how access works through the Bluetooth phone system, and how the entry points and elevators work. For someone who has never used a modern storage facility before, that level of guidance was incredibly helpful. You can tell she truly cares about making sure customers feel comfortable and confident with their decision. She made the whole process smooth and stress-free. As for the facility itself, everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The elevators are spotless, the hallways are clean and well lit, and the entire building feels very secure. You can tell the management takes pride in maintaining the property. The Bluetooth phone access is also very convenient. It makes entering the facility simple and modern without having to deal with complicated keypads or cards. The whole system feels very organized and secure. Overall, we were very impressed with Golden State Storage. What started as a quick stop while driving by turned into finding exactly what we needed. But the biggest reason this experience stood out was Jackie. Her professionalism, patience, and friendliness made what we expected to be a stressful process incredibly easy and actually enjoyable. Thank you so much, Jackie, for taking the time to help us and for making the entire experience such a positive one. Customer service like that is rare these days, and it definitely made a lasting impression. The worker was very helpful and friendly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes & made $6. It may not seem much but as my mom would always say, "De poquito en poquito se llena el jarrito" which in English it means "Little by little the jar is filled" (sounds better in Spanish). Overall value is ok, but more importantly I'm doing my part in making sure recyclables don't end up in the trash. With the money I'll earn from recycling I'm going to get a box and work on filling it with the $ I earn from my next recycling visits & maybe use that money towards a future adventure or have it go to savings. I'm bad with names but thank you to the worker for being nice & helpful & posing for this picture. You rock!

This place is the worst! Do not do business with them! Corrrina, the so called "co-manager" will lie to you. She told me they did not receive the information to update my account, as they're fax machine was broken. After complaining, she later told me the changes had been made. So, was the fax received on a broken machine or did she lie? When confront with this and her terrible customer service, she and the rest of their team had ignored previous emails, and phone calls, she told me any review posted on Yelp would be countered by her own review. Shocking! She admitted to me that she would submit her fake review! Sure enough, later that day, you see a fake review from "Lucinda H." praising Corrina. Trust me, Corrina is not helpful, she's the opposite. Indeed, she lies and obfuscates. I guess she thinks she can conduct business this way, but it's going to bite her and this company in the end. Don't trust these people. They're scammers and Corrina is a proven liar. It's fraud plain and simple. I've worked with an attorney, we went to college together at Whittier College for undergrad, who now sits on the board of the Whittier Chamber of Commerce. I'm calling him up and reporting Corrina. read more

Really liked this place. The service was awesome the staff was very helpful and useful. I searched and looked around at other places that seemed to have good reviews but I honestly didn't feel safe leaving my things there their walls were wood and seemed like anyone could break in there at any moment I just wasn't convinced. As soon as I found this place I liked everything the access and security and most important to me I finally found a place where I feel that my beleongings will be safe and taken care of....BTW if you go there ask for Corina she is very helpful!!!! read more

After having a terrible experience with the staff at Whittier Self Storage wherein they ignored communications and lied about a broken fax machine, I posted a negative review and called out their actions. In response, they raised my rental rate. Unbelievable! That's how they deal with a response to their horrible customer service? Are they trying to lose business?
