After he put in his two week notice then he received an email regarding a background check which he had no problem with this company pulling because he knows that he has not had anything on his background in more than 15 years. He has worked very hard over the last 15 to 20 years to turn his life around. He has been to college multiple times and has completed multiple certification programs. He has more than enough experience and he is professional at all times. He has not had any legal issues at any job that he has worked for. In the last 15 to 20 years he has had no work related issues only praises for the great work that he does. This company ran his background after offering him the position and giving him a start date. He was told that due to the information that was found on his background from over 15 years ago that the offer was being rescinded which actually in my opinion is very unprofessional to offer a position and provide a start date then do the research on the person that you have already chosen as a great fit for the position. Simply due to something this person was accused of doing when he was barely an adult. I understand taking accountability for your actions which is why he did not deny the allegations because he shouldn't have been there in the first place. I believe the company did their due diligence as they should have done prior to giving him a start date, he was allowed ample time after he signed and returned the offer letter. He put in a two week notice at his workplace because he was under the impression he was hired. I simply wrote this to make others aware of the backwards process of which they do their hiring. How they treat their employees says alot about the company.

The salesperson said the car was flawless and I believed him because the car had low miles. Fast forward and I receive a photo of the car and am able to zoom in- the car is beat up. He says, "I will unwind the deal." Great, crisis adverted, right? WRONG! Nearly a week later and now I'm receiving welcome letters from their finance company. It's showing on my Chase account that I have an active loan on this car. I called the bank and they have no account of the dealership cancelling the contract. I can't help feeling and this point that this is straight up FRAUD. I did not purchase a car from this place and it needs to be addressed by Paul Miller immediately!

I called customer service and then I was told that when they went to pull the parts that the bin was empty. The inventory was wrong. I mention this because I noticed that Pep Boys has gotten a lot of negative reviews, and I hope people don't confuse the two. Chris (the manager) and Adam helped me out today with a battery issue. They had to be one of the nicest people around. Adam performed a free battery test. When that came up inconclusive, Chris looked at the engine and tried to troubleshoot. He spent about 30 minutes looking at the car. Extremely knowledgeable and kind. And how much did this all cost? $0.00. Chris explained he's been in the body industry for 40 years and is working in the store as a runup towards retirement. He loves helping people. I intend to buy a battery at the store if it comes out that the battery is at fault. But I wanted to drop a review to thank Chris and Adam for their stellar service. Read the reviews for this store on Google. You'll notice a lot of praise for Chris. He's a good guy. If you need parts or have any questions, definitely check out this place.
