I can't say enough good things about David at Next Car For You. This was not my first car purchase but rather my first car purchase in a very long time, and David made it so easy. He is friendly and professional and put me at ease with a low-pressure approach, taking the time to learn about how I would use the car to recommend an appropriate vehicle. David was promptly available by phone or text to answer questions and to set up times to see the car. Contrary to one review I read, he had absolutely no problem with me taking the car to a mechanic I chose to have it looked over. The mechanic, who has worked in the community since 1957 and came highly recommended to me by a trusted source, in turn had high praise for David and his integrity. I especially appreciated the thorough and direct explanations David provided through every step of the process - he knew everything about how the car worked, even though he had just received it I think the day before, and provided clear instructions and explanations throughout the paperwork process. As a final touch, when I came to pick up the car, it was freshly washed and David and his associate had set up all the accessories in the trunk area (it was a hatchback and there was a cover and some netting, and although I didn't tell him this I was concerned about figuring out the cover!) - a closing example of the care David takes with his clients. After spending weeks looking for a car for my daughter, dealing with crooks and their lies I was lucky to hear about David. He spent so much time helping with the insurance, taking care of the registration and giving advise. He's the opposite of the idea many of us have of a car salesman. I waited two months before writing this review. My daughter put already 1k miles on her Subaru Impreza 2016 without any problem. The car came in a near new condition. New tires, breaks, fluids replenished, etc... Obviously we are very happy with our purchased but most importantly we realized that honest, caring people still exist, even in this business. Surprisingly good experience. David was very transparent and not pushy. I purchased a Suzuki SX4 from him, after visiting other dealerships (physical and virtual) and realizing I did not want to deal with them at all. I only stopped by this place because it was nearby and convenient, didn't expect to buy a car from there. The car was fairly priced and in good shape. I took it further into Greenpoint for a pre-purchase inspection with a mechanic, which was quick and went well. Then David took care of everything for me as far as state inspection and registration went. He accepts credit cards for a deposit, which is helpful. Came here twice during my recent car shopping experience: first place I went, David showed me a few cars he had and was entirely straight on price. I left to go check out a few more places over a week. That week of going to the big NYC dealerships was awful... salespeople that couldn't care less about answering questions, waiting forever for simple questions on price and finding out every dealerships in the city tacks on ~$2k more to the price on the internet as a "dealer fee." If next car for you has a model you like, come check it out. There's no hidden fees, just tax and registration. Once you decide to buy you can be out of there with everything you need in an hour. Next Car For You - Car Dealers Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I purchased a Volkswagen Tiguan from NCFY and as soon as the car was out of the 3000 mile warranty the check engine light came on and the car was having trouble idling. I took it to my mechanic assuming it was something minor but they found oil and air leaks all over the entire motor. They informed me that the only way forward was to remove the motor and reseal the entire engine being that it would take less time than to try and fix the leaks with it in the car. I understood that the car was out of warranty and assumed I would have to pay for this myself but what they found while doing the work was highly suspect. Basically what they found was that many of the seals that had failed had already been removed gunked up with sealer and put back in, some of them so overloaded with sealer they were partially blocking intended flow; this included the rear main seal. Most of these gaskets and seals are cheap $3 to $15 parts that any reputable shop would have replaced with new ones as my tech did. Rear main seal failure is fairly common with this car and it makes sense that this might need to be done in a car with this many miles. Unfortunately, whoever tried to repair the rear main seal did so poorly and more importantly didn't address the root cause of the failure which was a broken PCV Valve. Ten seconds on google searching "Tiguan rear main seal" will tell you that it is almost always caused by a broken PCV. The PCV in my car was the original from the factory and had failed which most likely lead to the widespread leaks both originally and again after the poor repair. What concerns me is that the motor was clean when I purchased it and it showed no sign of leaks which tells me this work was done shortly before I purchased it. Carfax showed the car was serviced at VW dealerships until it was traded in and sold at auction. It would seem that this car got just enough work done to it to hide it's catastrophic problems in hopes of kicking them down the line long enough so I would get stuck with them. This repair cost me more than a third of what I paid for the car and I also had to wait for nearly six weeks for the work to be completed. I am not a wealthy man and this bill puts a huge strain on my finances. I contacted David to see if he would consider helping pay for any part of the repairs and never heard back from him. There's only one other review on Yelp for this place, and take note that the reviewer never actually bought a car there, and is kind of basing his/her review on trivial things like whether google maps locates them accurately, or whatever. Who cares? My wife and I just bought a car here. Our experience has been overwhelmingly good, both with the customer service and with the car. Today the check engine light on our new used car came on. I brought the car back in, and they repaired the (very minor) problem without hesitation. During the buying process, which took us three separate visits and a trip to a third party mechanic, they were knowledgeable and thorough, spent a lot of time with us, and were honest about the pros and cons of the cars we were interested in. Look, buying a used car is no picnic. For our budget (under $5K), you're inevitably going to get a car with some issues, but the goal is to avoid buying a complete lemon. We found an excellent car at a great price, and it was a pleasure doing business with Tomas and David. Yes, the place is small, a bit off the beaten path, and the lot itself is rough around the edges. This is a mom and pop business, and it's a decent one. On the other hand, some of the bigger, more "serious" used car lots (eg Major World in Queens) are a complete nightmare. PS, how awesome is the name, Next Car 4 U? You can't hate on that. read more

First of all, +5 stars for selling cars with very reasonable price & taking credit cards. For any auto dealers that accept credit cards (even with fee, which they charge), I will start the review with 5 stars in the beginning. -2 stars for not allowing pre-purchase inspection. For any amount, purchasing car is a big decision. Whether you can afford $3k, $7k or $10k, it's not an easy sum to throw around for most people. Took a look around the car and it looked fine to me. Had some rust here and there, but that's to be expected for the car's age. OK - there's battery leak, but again, that's fine.. I was going to change the battery out anyways... OK, I liked the price & I liked the fact that they took credit card (despite the fee which I was required to pay...) since I had to meet my $10k spending requirement on the American Express to get bonus Membership Rewards points..(ok, I am digressing). As soon as I mentioned "I would like to take this car to one of those auto shops down the block for a pre-purchase inspection," things changed to "I don't usually allow that" "you are free to look here but not over there" but finally "ok, we can arrange something, but you won't get any warranty" and "we are offering you warranty. Why do you want to waste money to get it inspected?" I don't know. Perhaps I don't want to be stuck with a car w/ a blown gasket six months down the road? Until this point, I was ready to buy (...and get the bonus AMEX points...), but I don't know. This was THE first time I had trouble asking for a pre-purchase inspection.... Perhaps the owner had a difficulties in the past when people took for a pre-purchase inspection, but from my perspective, especially given that I am not a mechanic, I just couldn't make a purchase without having an independent third party (who is more competent that I am) looking over. Perhaps they offer fabulous warranty. That, I couldn't check out since I didn't end up buying. Perhaps some people are ok with relying on the warranty... But, for me, without such inspection, I wouldn't be comfortable with making a major purchase. That's just me. read more

Don't pay any attention to the first review. I didn't and so glad that I didn't. The second review is accurate and why I ventured in. There is something endearing about a small business that is just trying to sell good cars and at good prices. Don't get me wrong, I had a difficult time finding it, and when I did, I thought to myself...hmmm...sketchy, funny area for a Lot of cars, and I lived just a couple blocks from here years ago on Jewel! I circled the block twice before going in. BUT...so what, if it is off the beaten path, so what that it is not a huge fancy dealership, couldn't that mean that perhaps you won't be paying for all that overhead? I had appointments up in the Bronx and deep Brooklyn with big inventory, but then stumbled on this dealer and was glad they were near my neighborhood. I just canceled on the others. I bought a 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero. I absolutely love my car. It was clean to the point of ridiculous and still smelled like crayons as Saabs tend to do. -- smelled new after all these years. It was spotless, just about every inch, behind the stereo, behind the dash, in the ceiling near the antenna, when I did some wiring -- I mean spotless and dust free. The only area that was forgotten was behind the fuel door, really...behind the fuel door next to the gas. I found myself looking for dirty areas. The specialized Saab mechanic gave a big thumbs up when I took it in and these guys were fine with that, even withwaiting for 2 weeks for the appointment. Their selection is interesting, and ranges from SUVs to compacts, to luxury to economy. It is a great place to just drop by and take a peek, if anything. Don't blink, or you will miss it, but just walk up and in the space and look around. This place and the guys are down to earth, willing to work with you and the car I have is awesome. I even signed up for the newsletter announcement for new cars, just because....and I am not even in the market anymore (I don't think), but they have good offerings. read more

This was one of the few car dealerships with positive reviews so I paid a visit to the lot to look at his inventory. I spoke to him over the phone many times looking for the right car and he was always courteous, open and helpful and never pushy. David is one of the very few honest car dealer that I met. He will take you to every step to buy and register the car and use his Polish network around the neighborhood to make things easier. My wife and I spent 2 weeks looking for a used car new NYC/BK and although we don't know much about cars, all we found was sketchy people trying to sell us sketchy vehicles. It was very frustrating. By chance, we stumbled upon Next Car For You and David and my god was he a Godsend. He doesn't sell you the cheapest cars and he doesn't negotiate but he gives you a fair price on cars he trusts. After he sold us the car (2010 Prius with close to 100k miles) he gave us his phone number and told us we could call him if we had any problems. Honestly speaking, I like the employees of Next Car for U. They are entertaining polish americans. They are pretty real and aren't trying to screw you over. You have to remember that you are going to be getting a used car from these guys, so the body might not be 100 % excellent condition, but they do detail and clean as well as mechanically maintain the vehicle in good running condition. When buying a used car, there are always going to be certain blemishes and what not, so if you're going to shop here, try not to be too picky. And if you do your research correctly, they have the best priced cars in a 30 mile radius. They're better than major world auto..although they don't have thousands of cars. I was monitoring their website for 8 months in hopes of getting another used car. I came across a car that a liked and came for a test drive. They even offered me a reasonable price for my vehicle trade in (although I wish I got more), and I paid the difference. I mean most dealerships will not give you much for a trade in. It was a simple process and they do all of the paperwork and add registration fees so that you can transfer your plates. They pretty much save you the hassle of going to the DMV. So far, my truck is running very good and they did include a warranty. Just remember, you get what you pay for as in any dealership. read more

Bought a used car here and didn't have any issues with it. The price was also very competitive.

I purchased my "backup car" in August of 2012 and I still haven't had a problem. They are a "no-games" business and even refused to lower the price when offering to pay in cash. I liked that. Their price was 15% lower than any other in the city. They were not pushy, but knowledgable and professional. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was that during dusk, the mosquitos come out to feast (in the summer). So if you wear long pants, you should be fine. read more

We found a car with Next Car 4 U by looking on the "by owner" page on craigslist. That made me initially mistrust this dealer, but everything else was wonderful. Really. We dealt with a representative named Eryk, who gave up his Sunday initially to deal with our unpredictable schedule for a first test drive, and then dealt with all of our anxieties and demands graciously and flexibly. I still email and text Eryk for advice about the car, which has performed great since we bought it in March 2012. Eryk and the colleagues of his whom I met could not have been nicer. I also benefited from getting a tour of different areas of queens and brooklyn while looking for car parts and finding dmv-related places that were open on off hours in order to accommodate my schedule. These guys know what they're doing, they have all kinds of car-related connections and resources in their community that they are willing to use for you, and they take some off the price fairly after reviews and identification of problems. Eryk even brought the car himself to my mechanic way out in queens so that I could make sure I was getting a fair deal, before I knew to trust him. Finally, we still drive a good distance to now use Eryk's mechanic for regular maintenance, which I am about to also give a very positive review.
