Very nice staff and plenty of regulars here. Lots of people seem to take their orders to go, but there is plenty of seating inside, if you want to eat in. I had the 3 daily tacos and they were nice enough to let me try some with shredded cheese and some with powdered. Personally, I like the shredded better, but the powdered was ok too. If you like hot salsa, order the super hot and you will be happy with your decision. Hubby had the bacon cheeseburger and Suzy-Q's and they were really good as well. It's been a longtime since I've had a great burger. Probably one of the best I've had. I'm out here for work and love stopping at mom and pop joints. The bun was soft, but not falling apart. The burger patties were seasoned perfectly and moist. Just a great burger all around. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. And I think they have daily specials. Everyone else was getting the tacos and burritos. But I got the burger. I'm going to try and go back tomorrow...it's that good to me. read more

I am a long time customer of snack shack. I arrived last week at 2:30 and ordered my food and ate it inside. A lady was sweeping and mopping the floor and kept hovering around my booth , virtually mopping my shoes. I finally asked her what time they close and she said 3:00. I realize she was trying to get rid of me so I took my food up to the counter and ask for it to go box. I walked back to my booth to get my purse and coat and when I came back up to the counter the guy was angry. He asked if I expected him to box my food up and I said no I wish just grabbing my things. The Snack Shack staff was very kind, the restaurant was clean, and the food was tasty especially if you are looking for some deep fried yums. I ordered the 3 tacos, onion rings, and corn nuggets, while my kids decided to order a chicken sandwich, a double bacon cheeseburger, and Suzy Q fries. All of the food was very tasty. I would want people looking to try Light's Snack Shack that everything is prices per item, there are no meal deals ... food for the 3 of us was around $35, not bad for good food, great staff, and a lovely hole in the wall mom and pop shop. Snack Shack is an interesting hole-in-the-wall eatery located in the bowels of Belton. ATMOSPHERE: There isn't much to say here. Snack Shack is a small place with just as limited parking outside. SERVICE: Everything here is self serve. You make your order at the register and pick it up when your number is called. The soda fountain is in between these two spots. FOOD: I haven't had tacos like these before. The shells are very crispy and appeared deep fried. The beef was cooked fine and seasoned appropriately. Standard things like lettuce and tomatoes were present. The cheese, however, was strange. Snack Shack doesn't use shredded cheese. They use the powdered stuff that looks exactly like the kind you find in Kraft mac n' cheese boxes. That struck me as rather odd. Now, as far as the sauces go the "super hot" which I ordered wasn't hot at all. Taco Bell's diablo sauce is hotter than it. VALUE: Well, it's a fairly cheap place, so you can have your fill for not too much money. Overall, if you need some cheap hangover food, Snack Shack is the place to be. read more

Their special curly fries were on par with the fries you get at Five Guys - all they need to add at Snack Shack would be to provide customers the vinegar! The Tenderloin was excellent and fresh made. Yes, the food is fried. Yes, they put powdered cheese on the tacos. That's part of the original recipe. If you want shredded cheese instead of powdered, let them know. Burgers are awesome, nachos are not bad, and I love the fried burritos. Beware of the super hot taco sauce. I talked with one of the owners once about it, and he said he adds habaneros to a set amount of the normal hot sauce. If you want to know what suffering feels like, either get one or two tacos as super hot with whatever else you are buying, or get a side of it instead. Their food is greasy, but very good. They serve everything from hamburgers to mexican food. Now their hamburgers are "Loose Meat" burgers, but are amazing. The fries, well they are Suzie Q's and greasy as well. I try to eat here at least 2 times a month if not more.
