We wanted to like this place because it was quirky and a hippie vibe but the smell of old moldy carpet and furniture mixed with the smell of weed is just not something that makes us want to hangout long. Beer options were ok with some drafts but the most uncomfortable thing was with this girl I think named Genine. She came on to me and my girlfriend and clearly intoxicated and definitely being over served. She was covered in tacky tattoos and I would say at least mid 50s if not 60 and just obliterated. Some men seemed to attempt to hang around her but the whole time it was just very inappropriate and uncomfortable. Not sure if this is how they allow things here but we will not be back. Really cool vibes at this small local bar. The bar at the thrift store next door is worth a visit if LRP isn't open. Right now there is a lot of construction on the main road, so it's a lot easier just to park out back. Live music some nights, good beers every night they are open. Friendly staff and a good crowd. The Aesthetic: Divey, eclectic bar with beer, wine, and great local live music acts, it's a Concord staple. The Price: The average cost of beer and wine in the Charlotte metro region, it's not too pricey. The Parking: It's tough right now because there's a ton of construction off this street, so we parked a couple blocks away and walked. There's tons of free parking on the side roads, even on the weekends. My Order: I rotate what I order here, I've tried everything from Shirley Temples to Sour Beers, and I've enjoyed everything I've had. They don't have a food menu anymore, but you can order pizza or DoorDash nearby and have it delivered to the bar. My most favorite bar in Concord and perhaps my most favorite review to write. Looking to watch football..not here. It's not a sports bar and they make that well known. Looking for chill vibes, cool bartenders and a lot of stuff to look at on the walls, this is your spot. This is the definition of dive bar and it's awesome! Love the variety of funky beers and the live music is great! It's a dark, dungey and a colorful bar. Art, gifts, and other memorabilia fills the walls. I've been going for years and I still haven't seen it all. The regulars and the staff is what makes it this place also so great! Want to be a little weird, it's cool here, just don't hurt anyone. The food is not great but I don't think that's a big focus for them. It's there if you want or need it. If you find yourself in downtown Concord pop in here for a quick beer or a few, it's always a good time and you'll probably make a friend. read more

The perfect Dive Bar! Came here on Black Friday because the bar was hosting a local band and wanted to experience live music alongside a local bar that I had yet to see in person, together. The bartender was attentive and hospitable, without being overbearing. Didn't obsess over whether I needed another drink after every sip that I took, but was right on point when my glass became empty. Kudos! I sat at the bar with my wife. We ordered the Loaded Nachos. MAN it was HUGE. Definitely a dish to be shared by 2-3 people. Not only a great value but also the dish was great tasting. The band (Doc and the Doses) was great. Good selection by the bar owner(s). The ambiance was great as well. Tchotchkes everywhere. Absolute dive bar without being low-quality. Great layout between the bar itself, side tables, and sofas/loveseats places throughout. Also had a back-patio area and a darts section. I did see some reviews that mentioned a bad smell.... Didn't smell anything off. Last but not least, the beer on tap was top notch. Great selection from the cheap mass-produced beers, up to the less-circulated craft beers. I had beers from Southern Tier and Founders. I will be going back soon. Waiting for my guitar to get re-stringed next door I popped in here for a pint. Lots of beer to choose from. Decorated like a dive bar should be with local hand crafted/painted art all over the walls. Don't worry about finding a seat they have plenty of tables and actual comfortable couches to chill on. Pop outside for a cig if that's your thing. They do love music on Friday so I'll definitely be coming back to check that out. I love craft beers and I have been wanting to try this place, so I dragged my husband here after a movie on a Saturday night. There was no band and it was pretty slow, maybe 5 to 7 groups of people. The first thing we both noticed was the bad smell, it was almost enough to stop us from staying. But after we got used to it, the rest of our visit was fine. They have a very light food menu, and were out of several items. We decided on a grilled cheese sandwich and it was delicious. I was pleased with the selection of beers on tap, and the server was very nice and welcoming. I felt like the decor was kind of thrown together. There is a fine line between eclectic and junky. If you are looking for craft beers in Concord, this is the place to go, and I'm sure that it is a great meeting spot for some, it just wasn't for me. read more

Best dive bar in the area. If you're looking for mixed drinks and fine dining, you'll need to go somewhere else. They have bar food and the best craft beer selection I know of. Live music Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night and they never charge a cover. The decor is entertaining to say the least. Lot of artwork from local artists for sale. Bar seating, tables and couches. There is an area of seating for smokers out front and a large patio out back. You can throw darts or play a board game. All in all a pretty cool place to have a great craft beer, glass of wine and meet some cool folks. read more

This review kind of hurts me. I went to Lil Roberts Place for the first time on Friday. I'll say first that the ambience and all the cool stuff in the place gives it an awesome, kind of bohémien vibe. The bartenders were pleasant, but there's clearly a group of locals they talk to more than the walk up customers. I get that it's a local bar though, so it taking an extra few minutes per beer wasn't that big of an issue. This is where I stop the compliments though. While the beer list is excellent, it doesn't seem like anyone has been trained on how to actually pour beer. The glasses come to you wet and sticky, with zero head and the beer all the way at the top. Completely inappropriate for a craft beer bar. Also, it definitely seems like the customers know more about beer than the employees. While a few guys at the bar were able to point out the best brews and talk about them, the bartenders were woefully uninformed about the available beer. Another issue is that the bathrooms are absolutely filthy. If you ignore the racist comments written in the walls you're still hit with piss covered floors, empty towel racks, and a horrific smell. Out back you discover the problem, employees and customers (along with the guy playing music that night) both are out back visibly smoking pot and passing bowls around. What sort of place allows this to happen in PLAIN VIEW of customers? Several people were even talking about buying/selling drugs. We tried the food and it was obviously microwaved and poorly maintained. The absolute saving grace is the attached bottle shop. It's not seemingly open yet but an employee walked us over the purchase beer. The shop is clean, pleasant and full of a great beer selection. Without that shop I'd have given this place a 2 star easily. It's sad, because it seems like everything could be easily fixed but the lackadaisical attitude of the employees keeps it down. Crowds are way older than you'd expect and are not friendly towards younger people. The live music was pretty average and way more country than I'd hope for a craft place. I heard a bunch of people complaining about the music but we choose to just go and drink outside. It just doesn't have any idea what it wants to be. It says it's a craft beer bar, but no one knows about beer and the place is filthy. If they want to just be a shitty southern drunk house then they should probably remarked themselves. I plan on giving them another shot at their anniversary party this week and see if maybe an event allows them room for actually working hard. After that, I'll just stick to swinging by their bottle shop and avoiding the bad decisions of their other location. read more

I went here for the first time with my mom a couple years ago with my mom to see if they carried a particular cider. The guy we talked to was really helpful even though they didn't have what I was looking for and gave me some recomendations on a beer or two to try out and also offered to special order what I was looking for. That was a nice experiance. However I went here a while ago with my boyfriend whose REALLY into craft beers. I hadn't been there since my first trip with my mother but I though he would like it. It was around 8 or 9 so still pretty early in the night and we were looking for something to do after eating dinner so I figured we'd sit and have a few drinks and make a 6 pack to take home but as soon as we walked up to the bar I got bad vibes... The bartender just stared at us like 'wtf are you doing here'. Didn't say a word to us. So we kinda tried to see what was on tap instead. Nothing really looked interesting so we decided to look at the selection of beers they had in the back. We spent some time looking at everything and found quite a bit. Pretty decent selection for a shop like this in Concord (not as magical as, say, Common Market in Charlotte tbh) But you know what? Even when we went up there the bartender still had such a crappy attitude. Ugh. Maybe he doesn't like black chicks? I was literally the only black person there. :V Or maybe my haircut? Looking for a place to celebrate with a congratulatory cocktail at 10:00 pm we ended up here. What a fun, eclectic spot. It has a very homey vibe with couches and mismatched furniture throughout. They even had a drum set up in one of the seating areas. The walls and ceilings are adorned with local artwork, hanging stuffed animals and I may have seen a panty or two. They only serve beer and wine and they close at 10:30 during the week, but definitely a fun place to visit. All in all a really great dive bar! read more

This was an awesome accidental find. We are from out of town and this was one of the few establishments open on Sunday. The vibe is so different from what you find anywhere else. It is casual, inviting, and had delicious hot dogs. They are family friendly, but probably not a good fit for small kids (toddlers or under). Our 11 year old enjoyed it and played with some of their board games. We would recommend to anyone visiting the area for a unique experience and lowkey, delicious, and cheap food! read more
