That had me but at 105° it was too hot. So, we got the cute fisherman's isle seats in the back. She's 5' so bar height seats are uncomfortable and akwars for her. I wasn't a fan of the layout. I think they wasted space. We tried their char-grilled Oysters, grilled crab cake, and she had several if the Oysters; Tripple D, Pink Moon and Bay Breeze being her favorite. The house Oysters were not. I tried the char and they're good. Decent profile but they're cooked so it make sense. Not New Orleans style char but good flavor. The crab cake was delicious. For the price it was huge. I was very impressed as I loved the flavor and texture. It has a lot of filler but the seasoning took me out, in a good way. Now, they provide a yummy German potato salad that I thought was really good. Its warmed up seasoned chunky potato with no flair. The coleslaw was trash though. It looks beautifully seasoned but its a vinegar based and lacks the creamy flavor depth you're used too. They do change the menu frequently. I got a chance to see a few others plates and was very impressed. There are a few other items I would love to try, Specifically the pasta! I visited the full moon oyster bar on Friday evening with my friend. It was pretty packed, so we were able to find a seat at the back bar. The customer service is pretty awesome, I was very impressed and Hannah was mixing our drinks to perfection. The food wasn't anything to write home about the entrées, came out before the appetizers. The sauce for the entrée was delivered when the food had already been out for a while. I will say that the potatoes that are served with every meal were really delicious. I was tinch nervous when I saw it juicy, (because of don't eat wet bread) but it was soooo good and buttery-ish, with a creamy Cajun sauce. I continue to come here when in town! They have all the fresh seafood you want to eat. It's pricey, however, this is where you will find it. I love the service and mostly at the end of the meal, you are given a bowl of hot water in it, along with lemons and a towel so you can sanitize your hands. That's my favorite part. 95 cent oysters on mondays! That's what drew us in. There are no sit down tables, it's a true raw bar. The raw oysters were excellent, really hit the spot. The beer was unfortunately warm and lacking carbonation, they said there was an issue with the kegs.. The workers were stoned out of their minds but that's alright, it was kind of entertaining. Went here for dinner and I was not pleased at all with the service, the food, or the atmosphere. Paid $56 for a tiny plate of shrimp and grits and a poor excuse for a shrimp boil. $19 for a tiny piece of corn and a quart of a potato isn't exactly a great deal We were ignored by our male waiter and our $4 teas were not even offered refills. Both meals were supposed to come with potatos and Cole slaw and when my wife asked about it we were offered to go boxes for them and they only brought us one serving instead of both for both meals. Went into the men's bathroom it was absolutely disgusting and full of black mold in the vents. The tempature inside was hot and humid and very uncomfortable. I have not been here for at least 5 years and I still remembered the great food and atmosphere. My 16 yo remembered it also and knew exactly what she wanted when we walked in- ahi tuna and rice. I ordered seafood mornay for an entree. I ate all of the complimentary potatoes and Cole slaw then I ate Karlea's Cole slaw also. Karlea's food looked great, but her appetite has increased since our last visit so she helped me with the seafood mornay after eating her tuna. The seafood mornay was full of scallops and shrimp and the Alfredo sauce was just the right consistency to absorb in the garlic toast. We both enjoyed the meal and it was just the right portion that we both were full when we finished. Great place off the beaten path near Concord Mills. Full of seasoning and plenty of chicken, shrimp and sausages. The DOTD was the tropical moon and I had 2, I left walking a lil sideways . Crystal was a great server and Izzy as well. All 3 of the girls were great. The setting reminded you of being in a bar in the beach, nothing extra just simple and amazing. If you haven't tried this place yet, then run and don't walk. My son and I came for lunch. I've been to other locations but not this one. My son has not been at all before. He really liked it. Our server explained things well. We ordered our food. One runner mixed up my sons pasta dish with someone else because he had no mushrooms and he got them. The server asked him if he wanted a redo and he said no, he could pick them out. The person who got his plate wanted the mushrooms so they had to make some to add in. Our server did coach the runner about it in a nice way so it wouldn't happen in the future. Food was tasty. Started the dinner with the $5 Well drink special. Another pleasant surprise! The staff was warm and friendly. So helpful and patient as we decided on our meal. I had the Mooner's Basket, comprised of flounder, shrimp and oysters. The basket is served with fries and hush puppies. I was very pleased. The fish was fried to perfection and it wasn't greasy. What an awesome place! First, when I walked in and saw the beach dive kind of vibe I was already lovin' it. We were barely in when we were immediately greeted by staff and told to sit wherever we wanted so we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar (very uniquely designed bar that weaves through the entire restaurant and we given menus. The menu is busting at the seams of great foods. Seafood risotto, low country boil, voodoo shrimp and the list goes on. Then there is the wall of fresh fish and oysters to choose from. I wanted to order about a dozen different dishes but decided on a dozen house oysters ($1.95 each) and the low country boil with a half pound of shrimp (Sunday special where base is free ($5) and you add protein (shrimp, clams, etc.) The low country boil special with 1/2 pound of shrimp was $14. While we waited we enjoyed a couple of drinks and had great conversations with the staff. They were all fun to talk to and made the experience so much fun. Shortly after placing our order we were given slaw and potatoes that come with the oysters. Y'all, these dang potatoes were AWESOME! I could have, and pretty much did, fill up on these. I am not a potato guy but these were like heaven. I ate two bowls before our food came out. Our oysters and entrees came out within minutes of ordering. They were sizable oysters for MD oysters. Reminded me more of VA or NC oysters by the size. It's hard to say too much about the taste because I noticed them rinsing the oysters after they shucked them. Most of the brine was washed away but they tasted fresh. The oysters were great and the low country boil was equally good. There is a ton of butter used for the boil and the bread served with it. The flavor of the butter sauce was really good. The bread had a little too much butter on it for my taste. Lastly, they provided us with a bowl of warm water and lemon to rinse out hands in while we ate. Since we had shrimp and the oysters out hands were filled with butter sauce and juices and this was a nice touch. Much better than a pile of napkins. The restaurant was busy, but we were still able to be seated immediately. I started with the crab bisque. It was thicker than I remembered and very good! The complimentary potatoes were very good as well. I'm not really a fan of the complimentary coleslaw. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it feels like it is missing something. Next, I ordered the house salad. It wasn't as beautiful or plentiful as their house salad used to be. The star of the show was definitely the oysters, as it should be! They were large and tasty!!! Straight out of the gate let me say the food is great. I've never had anything I didn't like. They have a unique spin on seafood dishes as well as the classics. This visit I did order the crab bisque that arrived warm, but I asked that it be heated up more and it was done so without issue. The servers are experienced and you usually have two people checking on you. Where I take issue with Full Moon is that it is ALL bar seating. It's tight and if you have a large group it can take awhile to get enough seating together to work. They do have patio seating but that only works out in good weather. read more

I used to love this place, but after last nights experience, I will not go back. We arrived to a large number of people waiting for a seat. No biggie. The hostess had the personality of a mole rat. She was not only hostessing, but also running food out. She couldn't keep track of who was there first and it took forever to seat folks even though there were multiple spots open. After we were seated it took the kid behind the bar a while to get us drinks. The kid shucking oysters was like a sloth. So very slow. Took forever. We got our orders before our oysters. Lots of people complaining about their food. We asked to see a manager. No manager was there. It was a bunch of high school kids running the place. The service was atrocious. Ordered take out, shrimp and grits with some stuffed mushrooms. The host was friendly, the place is clean, but this is what we opened when we got home. The food was all cold and soggy, the serving portion on the shrimp and grits was underwhelming compared to how it normally is, and the mushrooms were doused in their cooking grease. The boxes for the food were also covered in the shrimp and grits sauce. This food did not incur any spillage on the drive from the restaurant to our house. It appears it may have been dropped and then just placed as such prior to handoff to us. We arrived as instructed, 20 minutes after placing the order. We were hoping for some hot food.
