I have been coming to this restaurant for years now. I use to live in the Prosperity area & would frequent Eastfield at least once per week. I moved further away about a year ago but I still make my way over there every once in a while. I've never had a bad meal there. Even outside of the food, the staff always treats me really well when I go. It's a neighborhood restaurant so there a lot of regulars there which keeps the place low key. In all honesty this is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Good affordable food with a great atmosphere. I've tried so many things on the menu but my favorite has got to be the Salmon sandwich. It's so good & always a great portion size of salmon. I want to be selfish and keep this place a secret but at the same time they deserve more traffic than they get (& they get ALOT) but I know if the word for out too much, I may not able to come. read more

This is a fun spot on a Friday night. Live music with a band and a singer was here tonight. Last week was karaoke. The singer was great. Her voice and the band echoed all the way to the outside seating area and the shopping g center parking lot g lot. A very nice soulful vibe for a summertime night. The food was pretty good if you can get them to remember your order. My salad was forgotten, my friends salad was incorrect and my other friends drink order was wrong. Also a line item on the receipt was an additional charge (unsure of the percentage) but it's labeled as a non-cash discount. It was actually an additional charge. Restrooms were clean although boxes of inventory is stacked everywhere leading to the restroom. They would benefit from taking a week off and thoroughly cleaning and organizing the space. read more

The chicken philly and fries were delicious! The staff is super friendly and attentive. The regulars there are great people. They have daily specials as well! They have a jukebox so you can enjoy your music as well. My only con is that the food/drink cost is a bit high. I got a lemonade for my son and it was $4, while my alcoholic beverage was only $6. Also food costs were in the high teens and twenties for American style food, it was up there. I really enjoy Eastfield and I will return to try more of their menu. read more

First timers. Brought my Mom here after church. First restaurant to pop up for proximity on Yelp. I like that we were able to easily get a spot right in front since my Mom uses a walker. Pretty empty when we got there about 12:30 but by the time we left at 2 the bar was full and more seats were taken for lunch. Definitely a bar and grill feel. Little noisy, laid back vibe. Booths, tables and like I said bar. Saw a Ms Pac-Man game but didn't check it out to see if it worked. The other thing I liked for my Mom was that we were able to get a booth right by the door so she didn't have to walk far. It's seat yourself. We were quickly brought menus and told the specials. Didn't take long for our food to come out. My Mom got the chicken and waffle special. The waffle was unbelievably hard. Way too hard to serve someone. We could barely cut it with a butter knife. It took awhile for our server to check on us so by the time she did my mom had managed to eat a quarter of the waffle. We let our server know how hard it was but rather than offering to make her another she brought a steak knife to cut it. Right after that someone stopped to ask how everything was, shared the same thing and she offered another waffle. The new waffle was soft and edible. We were able to get a $5 giftcard for paying with cash. The giftcard amount goes up the more you spend. I had the fried green tomatoes. They were ok. Nothing special. I'm not sure if I'd return. There were things I liked about the restaurant but the waffle situation seemed to be handled out of obligation rather than wanting to get it right for customers. Eastfield Bar & Grill used to be our go-to place for meals out, but we stopped going regularly when they changed owners and changed their menu. Today we were in the mood for burgers so we thought we'd give them a chance. Sadly, we were very disappointed. The service was fine, but our food was just so-so (especially given what we paid for it). We likely won't be back, which is sad since it was a staple for us for years. I've recently discovered this neighborhood "hidden gem". It's good for a causal kickback and to go orders. Basic drink menu so do not anticipate any creative cocktails or an extensive bar program. The bartender-hostess-wait staff wore many hats, had as many hands as Durga, was as charming and attentive as any 5 restaurant. There has been quite a bit of discussion about Eastfield (both good and bad) on the neighborhood chat boards. But I have to say that they get my vote! This has become a frequent afterwork hangout spot with some of my co-workers. The service is consistently good as is the food. I always get the sweet potato fries. All of the fries are a great deal at just $2/basket. They offer sweet potato, shoestring, and waffle fries. And they are all really good (and not just because they are only $2). I have also had the salmon sandwich which is really tasty and a good portion size for the price. The drinks are good as well. If I had to offer one critique, it would just be in regards to the menu. I wish they had one menu instead of the multiple menus that you have to switch between. There is one main food menu, another for specials, and another for beers. But overall I am glad to have a local spot to support! read more

I wish I could give 0 to this place. I've ordered takeouts a few times from here, and I've never had any issues until today. I ordered a dirty southern burger and there was a hair below the burger. The bun was wet to the point that I couldn't even hold it well. The chicken looked burned on the outside, but not cooked well, and smelled terrible. We discovered this place thanks to a bridal shower that was held there. We decided to return and explore the menu. I'm glad we did. Everything was good. We ordered drinks and an appetizer as we looked at the entrees on the menu. We got some pretzel bites that included one queso and one pimento and cheese for dipping. I got a glass of Prosecco. Once we ordered, our food came out reasonably quick. Our service was good. Our server was very helpful. One of the managers also provided our table with attention. He delivered our food to the table and also kept check on us. I ordered the Breakfast Burger with a side of cheesy grits. It didn't look that big on the plate but it was very filing. It came with applewood bacon , cheese, and a fried egg. It was awesome. The cheese grits were a perfect side for the burger. My date ordered lobster ravioli. It was rich and creamy goodness. She ended up taking half of it home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is upbeat. It has a neighborhood bar feeling to it. They had a good crowd for a Monday night. I enjoyed my meal. This place is a true hidden gem. I live close by or else I never would have heard of it Bc they don't advertise and every time I go here which has been 4-5 times it's never really busy---which is great for me!! The Brussels are some of the best I've ever had. They are very garlicky! I always get there Greek salad and add salmon which is delicious and a very generous portion! My husband loves there wings, chicken strips and fish and chips. There fries are crispy and so good! There prices are totally reasonable for the quality of food averaging about $10-18 a plate. Great customer service from the servers, bar tenders, and managers. The bar tenders especially! Drinks are fire. Food is ok. Somewhat cramped but worth it. You will see what I mean. This grill is in a great location and have really amazing people who work here. They are so friendly, and giving. I came on a Sunday and they offer brunch from 1-5. The interior was extra clean and spacious which is really important. I'm not sure if they always have a DJ, however there was a DJ playing a great variety of music. I ordered the chicken tenders, eggs, and pancakes and it was nothing less than extravagant. The flavor was there, the chicken wasn't dry, and the eggs were scrambled with cheese to perfection. I didn't wait long for my server to place my order and deliver my food. It's a great place for brunch or just grab a bite to eat. There is a bar inside, and they have daily specials and events. I have to say this is a memorable experience and I encourage everyone to be in the moment when you enter this bar. We have come here a lot over the past three years. Always great food at really reasonable prices. We came this evening, and this business had to have switched owners and we weren't a fan of many of the changes. No more create a burger or 50 cent shrimp. No more kids menus. Stopped in for lunch today and except for being noisy, was very good. Went shopping today at Northlake and I suggest Eastfield to my wife for lunch. We've dined here several times and have always enjoyed it so we decided to give it a try. Walked in and sign said seat yourself which we did. Nice place although a bit noisy considering that the restaurant was less than half full. Menus and table setting were already on the table so all we had to do was wait for our server to show up and place our order. Server showed up shortly and explained the soup of the day to my wife. She ended up ordering the Soup of the Day which was a White Cheddar along with the Fried Green Tomatoes Appetizer. As for me, I ordered a Panther Burger which is one of the Customized Burgers with Blue Cheese Crumbles, Blue Cheese, Bacon and Balsamic Onions and Shoestring French Fries as a side. In about 10 minutes our orders came out which is an appropriate time. My wife enjoyed the soup and Green Tomatoes and I must give the restaurant, high makes for plating. Both a gastronomic and visual feast. The Panther Burger was also well plated and the burger was excellent although a bit on the dry side. Good Service and Good Food. Only complaints were that it was too noisy and no open WiFi so could not check my emails. read more

To say we're disappointed in the "new management" is an understatement. Two weeks ago, we called to place an order for take out to support a local restaurant during these times. I was asked to be placed on hold, only to hear the entire conversation of the hostess and other staff around the phone as they apparently forgot to press "mute". Their discussion was about how drunk they all were. I tried to get their attention multiple times before it was clear no one would be getting back on the phone to take my order. I hung up and tried back to speak with someone, and the phone line remained busy as they had left the phone off the hook. Today we decided to give them another try, hoping that was an off night. We placed a simple take out order which was repeated back to me correctly. A name was requested for the order, and we were told it would be ready for pick up on 15 minutes. Well over 30 minutes later, our food was finally ready. There was clearly a lack of communication regarding orders placed, as the hostess nor bartender (who my husband was directed to) knew of the order upon pick up. The Turkey Avocado BLT was worse than a sandwich I would've made at my house. See photo description. All this in addition to how poorly the business is following and/or encouraging their patrons to respect current health and safety guidelines regarding COVID-19. We will not be returning! read more

This is a good place for a weeknight dinner. They have great burgers, which is what we normally get, but this time we decided to switch it up and get the chicken tenders and Thanksgiving sandwich. I wasn't sure what to expect with the sandwich, but it was a perfect combo of seasoned turkey and mashed potatoes. The batter on the tenders was delicious and the chicken was fresh and juicy. We were torn on what sauce to get on the side, so the owner suggested that we go classic and get honey mustard and ranch. We also made sure to get waffle fries on the side tossed with Cajun seasoning, which I highly recommend.
